The Most Powerful Brain in the Interstellar Space

Chapter 564 Swamp Alligator Turtle

Chapter 564 Swamp Alligator Turtle

Although the exit wasn't wide enough, the light filtering in didn't allow Jiang Hui to see clearly; he could only make out a series of indistinct silhouettes from the past. While many of the figures seemed to stir slightly, uneasy at the sudden light, one thing was certain—they were all still alive.

This is a miracle. Jiang Hui thought to himself.

Not only did the people inside think so, but even she thought it was incredible that these people could wait for her to come and rescue them.

Whether it was Jaidi who happened to contact her, or her smooth journey and lucky discovery of the location where everyone was trapped, or the unusually calm process in between... God knows, not to mention the rescued people, even Jiang Hui couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat for their survival.

Fortunately, she didn't hesitate to come and save people; otherwise, even if she had managed to survive the disaster, she probably would have had to take a car full of her classmates' bodies home.

As Jiang Hui pondered this, he threw out several sets of convenient operating frames from inside the mecha.

Yes, it's the same small tool Jiang Hui used a few years ago in orienteering, a spacecraft tool that can easily build simple architectures.

This thing, while seemingly useful, also seems somewhat redundant in this technologically advanced world… yet it repeatedly proves useless in unexpected ways. Therefore, Jiang Hui began exploring its various uses, and this time, she suddenly remembered one. Jiang Hui decided that next time she would stock up on a more advanced batch, just in case it came in handy again.

She shoved the control panel in, figuring she probably didn't need to explain how to use it... Then she was responsible for controlling the exit, ensuring the internal structure remained relatively stable until they came out.

Fortunately, the members of Class Two had been trained by Stark in their daily lives and were able to remain calm in the face of danger. Once they realized that they had a chance to survive, they immediately and methodically began their work.

Jiang Hui didn't need to worry about anything; the people inside quickly set up a temporary space and then directed everyone to climb out through the narrower but safer passage.

Jiang Hui manipulated WALL-E to make way, watching these disheveled or bloodied people escape from that narrow place where almost no one could survive, and couldn't help but marvel at the miracle of life.

When the last person crawled out of the narrow opening, both Jiang Hui inside the mecha and the person at the back breathed a sigh of relief.

Almost simultaneously, as if receiving a signal of some kind of liberation, everyone present began to gasp for breath.

Having survived a calamity, they thought they would never forget what had happened that day, nor the person who had saved them in that situation.

Jiang Hui's loss of composure lasted only a moment. She didn't rush down to check on anyone, but instead turned back to the cave entrance and peered inside to make sure there was really no one there before turning back.

The group of people who had just come back to life were gradually regaining their senses.

Of course, aside from being alive, their situation isn't exactly great, but this... is good enough.

With the sound of the cabin doors opening, a person jumped out and looked down.

Aside from the members of Class Two, this was the first time the other survivors had seen Jiang Hui, the person they had spoken of, the one who had saved their lives.

The girl was tall and slender, with an unusually pale complexion compared to her usual appearance, but her eyes were strikingly bright. Jiang Hui glanced around and, seeing that everyone seemed to be in good condition and hadn't suffered any fatal injuries, finally pinpointed the students in Class Two: "Are you all alright?"

"Jiang!" "Jiang!"

"Waaaaah, Jiang, you're finally here! I thought I was going to die."

"Jiang Hui, from today onwards you are my second parents. When we get back, I will definitely treat you to a lavish meal at the best natural restaurant on planet 732, and we can eat there for a whole month."

"Jiang, you saved us. I knew you could do it; you broke another record. I'm definitely going to report your heroic act to the school, and then have my dad project it onto the tallest building in the city center, so everyone knows about your heroic deeds. You're my god, you're my light! Blah blah blah—"

……

Jiang Hui was initially listening and responding attentively, but for some reason the situation became increasingly absurd, leaving her somewhat amused and exasperated: "I was asking if you're all alright? Stop being silly, if you're feeling unwell, just say so. I still have some medicine here."

Apart from the always frail Chen Wenbai and Man, who sustained considerable injuries protecting Chen Wenbai, the rest of Class Two were alright, suffering only minor injuries. However, they were all likely experiencing varying degrees of oxygen deprivation and would need to recuperate upon returning. Jiang Hui gave them some mental energy supplements and some healing medication, instructing them to bandage themselves.

Another group of unfamiliar survivors sat more scattered, in twos and threes. There were adults, as well as young-looking children who seemed to have just come of age, and even two teenagers, all with their parents. Jiang Hui even saw the owner of the lotus root pig shooting stall among them.

After what had just happened, they were all somewhat dazed and confused, but when they saw Jiang Hui coming over, they were all filled with gratitude.

Jiang Hui wasn't good at dealing with this kind of situation, so she quickly changed the subject. She could tell that these were the people who needed the medication the most. The two children were covered in scrapes and bruises, not a single patch of unscathed flesh, and their parents were even worse off, covered in blood. The sight of the three of them huddled together was heartbreaking. Jiang Hui didn't say anything to disturb them, and instead gave them some medication to rest.

This process was, of course, rather brief. She knew that these people's escape was only temporary, because the external turmoil had not yet subsided. Perhaps... their current escape was merely a transition from one hell to another, because she didn't know when the star beast horde outside would breach this place.

Just as Jiang Hui was about to say something, her expression suddenly changed, and she quickly jumped back into the cabin.

Before anyone could react, their brains, dulled by lack of oxygen, watched helplessly as the mech that had just saved their lives loomed above them, closing in on them as if it were about to crush them.

"Bang—" A loud noise resounded throughout the space, almost making everyone jump up from the ground.

The other side didn't give them much time to react. They suddenly straightened up, and the large, hard object fell to the ground with a "thud" from the back of the mech. Fragments and dust fell down, stirring up a cloud of dust.

"Everyone, come up here! Something's coming!" A voice suddenly descended upon their minds, sounding somewhat familiar. Was this... a mental transmission?!
Although they didn't know why, everyone involuntarily listened to the voice that suddenly appeared in their minds and climbed up the ladder to the inner cabin.

As the cabin doors closed, Jiang Hui and the others experienced a massive flip. The screeching sound of the fuselage hitting the ground sent chills down everyone's spines, but the yellow behemoth that appeared in the non-pilot's view the next moment made everyone in the cabin's hair stand on end.

What's this?
—This is a Grade A swamp alligator snapping turtle.
