Chapter 346 Major Clarence
Upon seeing the person who arrived, or rather, one of them, Jiang Hui's heavy heart eased somewhat. The person who arrived was Hillman.

Jiang Hui's last glimpse of Hillman on the field was in the fleeting moment when she fell in a disheveled state. Hillman was probably terrified at that moment, and she still remembers the sudden look of fear in Hillman's eyes.

The three of them had only parted ways a few weeks ago, but it felt like a long time had passed, and the two of them looked at each other with a sense of déjà vu.

Jiang Hui was still reeling from the chaos, but Hillman reacted first: "Jiang Hui!" He strode over and looked Jiang Hui up and down before his gaze fell on Clarence on the hospital bed next to him.

Meanwhile, his companions had already surrounded him, even pushing out the therapists who had just been conducting the tests.

Hillman shook his head slightly at Jiang Hui, who wanted to look ahead, indicating that she should first look at this special guest.

Jiang Hui naturally noticed the unusual behavior of this group. They came in with Hillman, but their target seemed to have been set from the beginning. They didn't even bother with these bystanders and went straight to the unconscious Clarence on the bed.

Jiang Hui had protected Clarence all the way, and even though they were now out of danger, she still couldn't shake off that feeling, as if she were still carrying the weight of that boy's life on her shoulders. So when she saw a group of strangers suddenly surround Clarence, her instinct was to go up and ask them what was wrong.

If it were anyone else, Hillman would likely have followed suit as their "protector." Because Jiang Hui was his friend, and so was Clarence; he no longer wanted to stand by and watch his friends get hurt.

However, this group was indeed somewhat special, and it was entirely thanks to them that he was able to find Jiang Hui and the other person so accurately. Moreover, Hillman had already figured out their identities along the way, and in terms of qualifications, they certainly had a greater right to care about Clarence than they did.

August Clarence, a major in the Second Legion, and also Clarence's older brother. He happened to be arriving today and rushed over immediately upon hearing the news. He was initially just a little worried, but halfway there he discovered that his younger brother had indeed been caught up in the chaos.

Seeing the stubborn child lying unconscious on the bed, August was both angry and furious... It was one thing for this kid to cause trouble in the Central Star Sector in the past, but it was just childish mischief and youthful willfulness. In the end, he ran away from the Central Star Sector to study outside, and before he even achieved anything, he almost killed himself.

My mother and eldest sister must have received the news by now, and my father should be almost there as well. Although they are too busy to come here, they must be quite upset.

This kid won't even finish this semester before being dragged back to the central star system, will he? If so, August would wholeheartedly approve. Why did this kid have to give up a perfectly good university and come to this remote place?!

If he had just finished those three years peacefully, that would have been fine, but instead, this whole thing happened.

Sigh, never mind, what's the use of saying all this now? August was in a state of confusion, and he impatiently urged the accompanying healers to examine Clarence, while he picked up the boy's cold wrist, as if trying to drive away some of the chill.

Meanwhile, Jiang Hui and the other two were also keeping an eye on Clarence's situation.

Aside from Hillman, the other four in the group seemed to know each other. The three were dressed somewhat like healers, but their attire clearly emphasized military characteristics, with subtle insignia on the shoulders and collar, indicating a higher rank. The young man leading the group was even more striking, not only because of his handsome appearance, but also because he bore an uncanny resemblance to Clarence. Especially his blond hair, which seemed almost identical in its curve. The only difference was that his eyes were slightly different from Clarence's; rather than emerald green, they were more of a grayish-blue.

However, the two shared a strikingly similar charm in their facial features, even down to their slightly raised chins and staring expressions. Clarence, however, appeared much more immature, with a deliberately affected air of self-importance, while the other was clearly much more mature. With a raised chin and an air of haughty disdain, he exuded an aura of exceptional talent that was immediately apparent.

Looking at this, and then thinking about Clarence's pride, which was slightly unbalanced to his serious and earnest nature, Jiang Hui finally realized who the other person had learned it from.

This person should be Clarence's family member, but it's unclear whether he's the older brother or some other elder, because it's really hard to tell someone's age from their appearance in interstellar space.

She had originally planned to use the quantum computer to find Stark and ask him to retrieve information from the school to contact Clarence's family. Although Clarence was temporarily out of danger, he still needed further treatment, and it was definitely necessary to contact his family.

Now that his parents have arrived, things have become much clearer; it's far more useful than her, a powerless lackey, just sitting there watching.

Hillman said he met Major Clarence outside. When the chaos broke out, he was forced out of the crowd. Everyone else was running wildly as if they were being chased by a ghost, but he was the only one who was trying his best to avoid the crowd and the soldiers stationed there, lingering near the exit, anxiously waiting for news from Jiang Hui and Clarence.

Although he knew that after such an accident, the chances of the two of them getting out quickly were slim, he still held onto that hope and longed for a miracle.

Like Jiang Hui, he also couldn't contact the quantum computer no matter what he tried. It was as if the connection was cut off, with no signal at all. No matter how many messages he sent, they couldn't be sent out, nor could he receive any signals from the outside world.

His hesitation quickly attracted the attention of the staff stationed there, and he was immediately apprehended and questioned.

There was no point in hiding it; he stated his intentions directly.

Regarding Hillman's situation, the staff didn't say much, only gently comforting him and telling him to leave with the crowd. They said the military would try their best to rescue the people stranded in the stadium, and perhaps Jiang Hui and the others had left through another exit... and so on. But they refused to let Hillman continue to linger in the vicinity, because the situation at the stadium was still uncertain, and it was too dangerous for him to stay there.

Hillman certainly wouldn't agree.

He thought this incident would likely become a major shadow over his adolescence. Just as Jiang Hui was haunted by the horrified look Hillman gave her at the end, he could hardly forget the scene of watching his two friends fall off the platform without warning. Even now, the thought of it gave him an indescribable feeling of suffocation.
