The Most Powerful Brain in the Interstellar Space
Chapter 244 Reaction
Chapter 244 Reaction (Part 2)
“A group of people were completely fooled.” Lin Qi shook his head, not surprised at all. He had anticipated this possibility after seeing Clarence easily subdued.
He just hadn't expected the whole process to go so smoothly. That timing was perfect; the other kids, no matter how resentful, would have to expend more effort to catch up. He was increasingly looking forward to the day these children would finally meet.
"Overconfidence leads to defeat."
The people who were talking were surprised to hear this and looked at the person who rarely spoke up.
This was one of the few times the other person had commented on the students since they started watching the game. Was this only the third or fourth sentence? The previous sentence seemed to have happened several weeks ago. The silence was so profound that they almost thought the other person was mute.
That makes sense, though. Captain Stark always had a cold and aloof demeanor. He rarely showed any emotion and was even less likely to comment on any student or person.
The person he talked about most and paid the most attention to was probably his own students. He truly focused on his responsibilities, which made people feel awe for him.
Stark's statement is indeed true.
Those who are arrogant and conceited are most likely to fail, as countless examples have shown.
Even if it's not the right time or the right place, they still agree.
However, some people can focus on themselves, while others are so sensitive that they can be easily provoked by a casual remark from someone else.
"Captain Stark is quite certain of himself. It seems he's convinced his student will be at the top. The competition isn't even decided yet, and he's already making such a confident statement. It would be embarrassing if he lost."
Zou Yi was furious. Was this person doing this on purpose? Normally, no matter how much he provoked him, he wouldn't say a word, but now he seemed to be enjoying the spectacle more than anyone else, seizing on a single point to target his student.
He thought his student was so great, but he only benefited from the compensation points. After deducting the compensation points, he would still be inferior to Holly, and not even as good as Clarence.
This guy is less capable than Holly and even foolish enough to injure his own leg... Instead of properly disciplining the other party, he comes up and instructs other people's students. What does Stark mean by this?!
Teacher Tan, standing nearby, sighed and said he didn't want to talk anymore. Lin Qi also raised an eyebrow, shifted his gaze, and was too lazy to watch this one-man show.
Others either watched the spectacle discreetly or habitually looked away to continue watching the game. The atmosphere was tense.
But this time, Stark seemed determined not to ignore it any longer. He finally turned his gaze back from the big screen and looked steadily at Zou Yi for the first time: "Did I say anything?"
puff-
Those watching from the shadows almost burst out laughing. They rarely saw Stark pay attention to Zou Yi, and assumed that this stable and self-assured superior was too lazy to argue with a hot-blooded young man. Unexpectedly, when Stark rarely paid attention to Zou Yi, he said something like this.
It would be better not to answer at all... Zou Yi must be furious.
Sure enough, Zou Yi got even angrier: "Are you pretending to be stupid, Stark?! What makes you think my student is arrogant, while your student is so composed? She injured her important leg, let's see what she's going to do now. The competition isn't over yet."
"When did I ever mention your students?" Stark pursed his lips, his gaze naturally shifting to a particular image on the central news feed, landing on two individuals within it.
Zou Yi and the others looked in the direction of the screen and saw that it was displaying the activities of the R186 team. Was the other person talking about his student?
Could it be that the other party felt their students were having too easy a time and were worried they would become arrogant and conceited, which is why they said such a thing...? That does seem quite like their personality.
That's right, that's more like Captain Stark. Turns out he was just worried about his students; Zou Yi and the others completely misunderstood.
For some reason, everyone wanted to laugh even more. Seeing Zou Yi's face turn pale and flushed, swollen and then forced to deflate, several familiar officers exchanged glances, struggling even harder to suppress their laughter. The "interaction" between these two was sometimes quite amusing.
Speaking of R186 squad, besides the other three, two of them seem to be Stark's students, one ranked first and the other third. Their talent is truly outstanding, making others envious. No wonder Captain Zou Yi is always unconvinced.
They remembered that the student at the top of the list seemed to be one that Stark cared about quite a bit. There were rumors a month ago that the student had made a special trip to the principal's office for him, and today he had made two special trips to the control room. He didn't seem to be an ordinary student. They wondered if he was a junior member of the student's family. They would try to find out more about him when they had the chance.
---------------
“Those guys must be furious.” Hillman carefully untied Clarence, who was sitting on the rock.
Prior to this, Jiang Hui had already added Clarence to his team, and the R186 team was officially formed, which meant that their second-stage goal had finally been achieved.
It's really not easy; now all that's left is charging. But...
The completion of this task seems imminent.
Is it that some people were just lucky, or is it that opportunities are reserved for those who are prepared?
When they finally cleared away all the obstacles and arrived at L11, they were instantly shocked when they connected to their first energy point.
"Didi, you have connected to the main charging energy block L11. This is an unlimited charging point. Please note that the second round of charging is about to begin its countdown and will end after 01:12:26."
Doesn't that mean the L11 charging capacity is 100%? Does that mean they just need to stay here until the charging is finished, and this round is over?
And there's only so little time left before the charging ends... They're saying they absolutely don't want to leave this spot, they'd rather stay here and be tied up.
Jiang Hui snapped out of his euphoria and remembered that he still needed to add Clarence to his team, otherwise keeping him tied down like this wasn't a solution.
Moreover, given the current situation, forming a formal team immediately seems to be more advantageous. Let's hurry up, lest the longer we delay, the more enmity we'll develop.
Of course, the other party didn't seem very friendly right now. But she believed that team spirit could be cultivated, so there was no rush...
Zhou Xiuwen and Huan Xian quickly came to their senses and tacitly "cleaned up" the surrounding area. They then made some simple arrangements around the energy point, intending to stay there permanently.
The group worked efficiently, each fulfilling their assigned tasks, and quickly settled down to recharge. The feelings of the other participants were not their concern, leading to the scene everyone had witnessed earlier.
