Chapter 210 The Death of Aning
Zhang Wuxun vaguely felt as if he was being dragged along, wondering which bastard was so bold, when he heard the fat man's voice.

Just as I was wondering what was going on, I opened my eyes and saw patches of green trees and bushes on both sides slowly moving backward.

After clearing my head, I looked up and realized that I was lying on a sturdy, thick back, with Brother Pan and the others clearing the way with machetes.

Wu Xiaoxie, who was supporting him, noticed the situation immediately and exclaimed with delight, "Muyu, you're finally awake!"

Hearing that Zhang Wuxun had woken up, the fat man quickly and carefully put him down, opened the water pouch and brought it to his lips, "Here, drink slowly."

Zhang Wuxun took the phone, cleared his throat, looked around, and then asked, "Where are we?"

The fat man explained that after resting briefly at the spot where they had fought the python, they were afraid that the smell of blood would attract other wild beasts, so they didn't dare to linger and continued on their way by following the sound of the flowing water before the rain stopped.

"The sound of water ahead is getting louder and louder, so there's probably a waterfall coming. Let's rest there and get something to eat. Fatty is starving."

Zhang Wuxun rummaged through his backpack and took out energy gels, handing them to Fatty and the others to tide them over until they arrived at their destination.

"Did you find the knife, bro?" Zhang Wuxun asked the young man.

The young man pursed his lips and sighed softly, "It's lost."

Zhang Wuxun felt a pang of heartache. That was the Black Gold Ancient Sword, the exclusive standard weapon of the Zhang family patriarch, and it was just lost like that. That damned python, if he had been awake at the time, he would have torn him to pieces.

“Then you can use mine for now.” Zhang Wuxun patted his shoulder. “You’re more comfortable with a knife, I’ll just use a gun.”

(Note: The wooden fish will be found.)
The guy is carrying Zhang Wuxun's skull sword on his back. Although it's not as good as the Black Gold Ancient Sword, it's still a decent substitute.

The young man nodded, looked up at the sky, and saw that the dense canopy of trees completely blocked out the sky. A light mist rose from the forest after the rain, and scattered sunlight shone through the trees, making the whole forest even more tranquil.

The fat man was about to carry Zhang Wuxun on his back, but Zhang Wuxun waved his hand, indicating that it wasn't necessary. "It's just two broken ribs, he's almost fully recovered."

Wu Xiaoxie, with a candied hawthorn-flavored energy gel dangling from his mouth, listened with a pout, full of envy, "Incredible recovery ability."

Zhang Wuxun smiled without saying a word, then turned his head and saw the fat man take out a large water bag from his pocket, shake it, open it, chuckle, and say to Zhang Wuxun, "Guess what's inside?"

Zhang Wuxun caught a whiff of alcohol, tinged with a hint of blood, and raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"

The fat man chuckled and held the water pouch up to Zhang Wuxun's eyes to show him. "I dug out the gallbladders of those two pythons and soaked them in wine to avenge you. Otherwise, it would be a waste of your injuries."

Zhang Wuxun squinted one eye and looked into the mouth of the water sac bottle. Inside, in the clear liquid, were two dark green oval sacs, each the size of an adult's fist, stacked one on top of the other, filling the bottle to the brim.

"Is this much liquor strong enough?" To be honest, Zhang Wuxun had never seen this before. "Won't it spoil?"

The fat man pointed at Panzi and said, "Old Pan said that's how you make it, so I mixed the Erguotou in your bag with the liquor that Old Pan brought."

"It's fine to just soak it like this," Panzi explained to the group. "Snake gallbladders are a good thing. Soaking them in alcohol can dispel wind and dampness, clear the eyes and improve symptoms of leprosy. If you have arthritis, you can drink a sip occasionally. But all medicines have some toxicity, so you can't drink it often."

Several people suddenly realized, "Oh, I see! We've learned something new!"

The sound of water crashing against the rocks grew clearer. Pushing aside the bushes obstructing the view, a large clearing appeared before me. The trees along the edges gradually thinned out, and a waterfall cascaded down in front of me. I could faintly hear a few clear birdsongs coming from above the canyon. The rippling water was soothing and refreshing. After walking a few steps, I stepped into the water.

The icy stream water was knee-deep, and the pebbles at the bottom were clearly visible, but it was a pity that I didn't see any fish.

After the fierce battle, the mud on everyone's bodies was half-dry, sticking stiffly to their skin and making them feel extremely uncomfortable.

The group unloaded their backpacks on the bank beside the waterfall and splashed water on their faces to wash themselves.

A group of grown men didn't need to be particular about anything; Fatty and Panzi went straight into the water shirtless.

Seeing that the water here had been muddied by them, "A-Ning" simply turned her back and walked a little further away.

Zhang Wuxun, Wu Xiaoxie, and the other two sat on the rocks by the shore, chatting idly.

While Zhang Wuxun was talking, his attention remained focused on a rock crevice behind the waterfall, isolated from the outside world by the water flow.

"Pfft."

A flash of red appeared, accompanied by a very faint splashing sound, which was instantly drowned out by the louder roar of the waterfall.

Zhang Wuxun knew the time was right, so he stood up and beckoned Fatty and Panzi to come up from the water.

As for "A-Ning" on the other side, Zhang Wuxun curled his lips into a cold smile and ignored her.

The group walked ashore, and the fat man quickly lit a fire to prepare a meal.

Wu Xiaoxie held his half-dry jacket in his hand, glanced towards the waterfall, and for some reason, suddenly had a bad feeling.

"Get away from that waterfall," Wu Xiaoxie shouted to "A Ning."

Hearing the voice, "A-Ning" raised her face and glanced in his direction, a faint smile playing on her lips. The smile, combined with her bright and beautiful face, was truly stunning.

"I understand." "A-Ning" replied casually. Although she didn't know why Wu Xiaoxie suddenly said that, her long-standing habit of vigilance made her decide to come back. This place was full of dangers, and it was not a good idea to stray too far from the group.

Just as she got up to turn back, the chain around her neck suddenly broke, and the nameplate and safety buckle fell into the water. They were swept two steps away by the current and got stuck in a crevice between the rocks.

"A-Ning" frowned, took the chain off her neck, walked over and reached out to pick up the nameplate, shook off the water, and then bent down to pick up the safety buckle stuck at the bottom.

Just as she bent down, a blood-red shadow suddenly darted out of the water, coiled around "A-Ning's" neck, and emitted a series of high-pitched "clucking" sounds.

"A-Ning" looked at the thing coiled around her neck in the reflection of the water, her pupils suddenly contracted, and she subconsciously wanted to reach out and pinch the thing's head, but the pheasant neck sensed it first and bit her neck with lightning speed.

"A-Ning" screamed, ripped the pheasant's neck off and threw it out, then stumbled and fell into the water. She struggled for a few moments but was unable to get up again.
