Chapter 754 Surveillance from the Sky

Chapter 754 Surveillance from the Sky

"Whoosh!" Suddenly, Verway drew his bow, pulling the elven longbow to its fullest extent. Blazing fire-type battle aura instantly engulfed the arrow. Then, to everyone's astonishment, he released the bowstring, and the arrow vanished instantly.

"No need to feel it anymore." Verway shook his head and put away his bow and arrows.

“I’ve already shot it down!” Vervey nodded.

“Yes! The spying is gone!” Alistar nodded in agreement, and then waved his hand, prompting a goblin knight to leave and search for the creature that had been shot by Valve.

……

"You're back!" Alistair beckoned the knights who had gone out to search for them to come back.

"Let me see what it is?" Roland beckoned curiously.

"Tsk! This is troublesome! The Eastern Barbarians are training eagles!" Before Roland could even take a good look at Verway beside him, he frowned.

“Don’t look at me like that. We used to wander the wilderness and deal with these guys all the time! Speaking of which, don’t dragon knights on patrol ever look at this thing?” Verway saw Roland turn his gaze to him, shrugged helplessly, and shook the patrol hawk in his hand.

"?" Everyone turned their attention to Caslo and his group of dragon knights.

Caslow, Westbrook, and Dos Anthony exchanged glances, their faces turning red.

"I just didn't expect this thing to be raised by humans..." Caslo complained. What kind of good person would use a dragon rider to shoot birds in the sky for fun? This is no less than using a nuclear bomb to set off a furnace!

"Forget it, we can't hide such a large-scale march anyway! That knightly order running rampant up ahead has already given us away!" Adolf Heinrich sighed, rubbing his forehead. A reinforced knightly order of a hundred men was rampaging across the wasteland with impunity. Anyone with a brain would know that this order was definitely carrying some special products. Sure enough, these special products were not only hard and chewy but also plentiful and filling! The main selling point was something that would leave you unable to finish eating!

It's important to know that Omske and his knights had already swept through and annihilated the wandering orc tribes along the way. With mountains of corpses and seas of blood, it was inevitable that some would slip through the net. It was only a matter of time before the dark forces learned of this. The fact that Roland's army had only attracted attention after reaching the middle reaches of the Swiftstream was already a testament to how long they had kept it a secret! "So, hyenas are watching us?" Roland grinned maliciously. The ambush he suffered five years ago at the hands of the Ringwraiths hadn't even ended yet! Roland had many grudges to settle with a certain Nine Rings! If it weren't for advancing the main quest, Roland wouldn't even have planned to retake Lagrange first; he was more interested in marching south and taking Dolgoth! Roland was, after all, the King of Romanian! But currently, Roland didn't own an inch of land in Romanian territory; his only domain was the outpost of the "sticky" Ismir!

Roland said becoming emperor was negotiable, but he would be more than happy to become the true King of Rome! Plus, the thrill of kicking someone when they're down... nobody understands! Dolgodom Fortress only has two Ringwraiths left! It's safe! Everything's safe!

"If you yearn to wash away your anger with blood, then you can sleep soundly; you'll have all sorts of dreams!" Verway's lips twitched.

“Surveillance is not a direct attack. Surely no leader of the dark forces would be foolish enough to directly attack us?” Adolf Heinrich rubbed his temples. The hastily assembled troops were no match for Roland’s well-prepared army. It takes time to gather elite troops for preparation, and Adolf Heinrich had not seen any signs that the Dongyi and the orcs had spatial teleportation abilities. So for a long time, these training eagles could only watch helplessly as they got closer and closer to them!
"If this continues, the final battlefield will most likely be outside Lagrange!" Caslo spread out the map and examined it. Neither the orcs nor the Eastern Barbarians had the capability to send troops across the Swift River directly. The only thing they could do was to gather their forces and launch a coordinated attack on the humans wherever they appeared! The only possible location was the confluence of the Swift River and the Redwater River, which was precisely the midpoint between the Eastern Barbarians and Mordor. Crossing the river would allow them to form an allied army, making it an ideal meeting point.

"Then let them come! I've put up with those Greyskins and Barbarians for too long! Who do they think they are? Who do they think I am? Do they still think I'm that Muggle from five years ago who couldn't even muster a legion? They want war, so let them have war!" Roland's eyes flashed with a dangerous light. His willingness to give the Orcs a chance to fight head-on showed that he was already giving them a lot of face.

"I'm thinking, shouldn't we send troops out in advance to occupy strategic strongholds? That way, at least they won't be able to cross over successfully?" Alistar scratched his head and unleashed his famous "I'm thinking" power! Sure enough, when the goblin started thinking, everyone's brains went blank.

“That makes sense! So be it! Lord Arista! I command you as the vanguard commander! Ignore the orc tribes and monsters along the way, your objective is to appear here and hold the position firmly! Don’t let the orcs and the Eastern Barbarians organize the vanguard to cross the river and establish a bridgehead!” Roland frowned, but ultimately chose to believe Arista and place high hopes on him. He then pointed out the target to Arista, which was the location of Lagrange City.

"Yes, Your Majesty the Great King!" Alistar gave a somewhat comical, less-than-perfect knightly salute before quickly leaving the main force to gather his people.

"Brothers! Compatriots! Children! By order of His Majesty the Great King, we will bring our talents to..." Roland vaguely heard Alistar's morale-boosting speech, and almost stumbled out of the carriage. In his hazy vision, he seemed to see an old man, spreading his hands in a standard Cleveland pose...

"What nomadic dynasty declaration?" Roland's eyelids twitched violently. He had to admit that for a moment just now, Roland really thought that some great king had also transmigrated into this little goblin's body.

"Are they up to the task?" Darian Nightblade toyed with his Wind-Listening Blade—Garuda—while curiously watching Roland. He didn't understand why Roland would send a Goblin Standard Knights (a thousand men) into battle. Compared to the Orcs and Eastern Barbarians grinding meat on the front lines, these Goblin Knights were better suited as a shock force to charge and break through enemy lines. Even though the actual combat strength of these Goblin Knights was far inferior to that of a real human knight, the boar riders were still a force to be reckoned with!

“Don’t underestimate them. They’ve learned real knight skills now, and their meat-grinding skills are no worse than others. Besides, can you find a highly mobile team like them?” Roland countered.
