Chapter 749 Heroic Spirits Transform into Armor!

To Weiss's astonishment, Senar planted the holy sword in his hand into the ground, and his soul body transformed into starlight, making him appear even more ethereal and otherworldly.

"Don't be sad, inherit my will! Keep going!" Before Weiss could say anything, Cernal raised his hand to stop Weiss.

"This is the last gift I can give you, please accept it... I have no regrets. Dying as a human was my last wish, and now that wish has been fulfilled, I should go!" Cernal looked at Weiss with tenderness, just as he had looked at the younger generation of the Kingdom of Arno.

"Ah!" Vili let out a long cry, sensing something. This was his way of showing respect to Cernar; he had a premonition of what Cernar was about to do.

With a whoosh, a gust of wind came, and Sernar turned into specks of light in front of Weiss, splitting into two star-like ribbons of light that wrapped around Weiss and Vili.

"Go on! Carry the hopes of the Dunedan! Grasp this holy sword! You are our only dragon rider... and perhaps our last... May the former kings bless you!" Sernar's voice drifted from the void.

However, Weiss no longer had time to listen to what Cernal was saying. He was shocked by the stream of light that Cernal had transformed into, which was entangling him and Vili. What terrified Weiss even more was that the armor that his teacher, Caslo, had carefully selected for him was slowly melting away, and a silver full-body armor with a somewhat illusory feel was slowly emerging and enveloping him!

On the other side, Vili calmly watched as the light from Cernal swirled around his body, slowly forming a set of ferocious dragon armor. This transparent dragon armor, wrapped in golden light, looked quite incongruous on Vili. After all, this dragon armor, which exuded a holy aura, paired with an evil dragon... was truly a challenge to one's brain.

……

"Homage to you! Your Majesty the great and holy hero, Sernar! You are a true paladin! May the Holy Light protect your soul!" The mysterious figure reappeared, murmuring as he watched Sernar's figure gradually fade away.

"The last holy knight of the Kingdom of Arno has fallen... The bloodline of the kingdom's holy knights has been completely extinguished, and the light was ultimately fleeting... You chose this path..."

"Sigh..." With a sigh that dissipated in the wind, the last figure vanished into the wind.

……

“Senior Sernar…” Weiss looked at Vili with some helplessness.

“He chose the most radical path, turning his soul into armor and merging it into our bodies!” Vili shook his head.

"Integrate into our bodies? Then Senior Sernar would be..." Weiss was stunned, then his eyes reddened.

“Yes, he used his soul to forge two sets of soul-bound equipment, so his soul…” Vili lowered his head and looked at the dragon armor on his body, and then the dragon armor slowly returned to his body.

"..." Weiss slumped to the ground, somewhat disoriented. He knew that Cernal was destined to sacrifice himself, but he never expected it to be in such a way, with his soul scattered. He transformed himself into armor to protect himself.

“Why? Why did he choose me? We have no connection whatsoever…” Viss muttered to himself, huddled with his knees, utterly bewildered. “Didn’t he already tell you the answer? You have the blood of the Kingdom of Arno flowing through your veins. You are probably the most talented Dunedan person he has ever seen! He is passing on his mantle to you, hoping that you can restore the glory that belongs to the Dunedan people!” Vili shook his head.

"In a sense, you are the last lord of Arno!" Vili's eyes were somewhat strange. It's worth noting that Sernar left Viss a considerable legacy! Besides a luxurious suit, he also left behind a holy sword to prove his identity! With this holy sword, Viss would have a reason to claim sovereignty over a certain territory of the Kingdom of Arno. Roland would probably be laughing in his sleep. Now, his entry into the West would be perfectly justified. He could simply have Viss raise Sernar's holy sword and shout: "Since ancient times..." ahem!
"..." Weiss twitched his lips speechlessly. He carefully drew the holy sword in front of him, and the flowing cloud patterns on the sword reflected Weiss's somewhat bewildered face.

"Don't let him down. Although you are not a paladin, he hopes that the light of the paladin can be passed on to you!" Vili calmly looked at the holy sword in Vis's hand. This longsword, which exuded a holy aura, strangely maintained a balance with Vis's evil battle aura. This was probably because Cernar had been corrupted into a Ringwraith for too long, and the evil power had been deeply tempered into the sword.

“I understand!” Weiss gripped the hilt of his sword firmly.

"This is unbelievable! The dragon is actually wearing holy armor!" Vili muttered, shaking his head. He felt like a third wheel. To prevent the Holy Dragon Armor from turning him into a third wheel, Vili secretly decided that he would never wear that thing unless he was fighting. People who didn't know better would think he had betrayed the dragon race.

"Let's go, we should head back. They're probably getting impatient." Weiss composed himself, tucked the Holy Sword of Sernar into his arms, and patted Vili's scales.

……

"No! I have to go check. Cernar alone might not be able to hold off three Ringwraiths. He hasn't been back for so long, Viss might be in danger! Ouch!" Caslo frowned and finally jumped off the bed, but he grimaced as he aggravated his wound.

"Go back!" Renault, who was resting nearby, didn't even glance at Caslo. He thrust his sword sheath directly at Caslo, who was struck squarely and sent flying back onto the bed.

“I don’t want Ajax to kill me! News just came from Stream City! King Roland has sent Ajax to support us! Your wife is here, don’t you have anything to say?” Renault looked over with a sneer, wanting to see if Caslo would still be stubborn when Ajax arrived.

"..." Caslo glanced at Renault and then obediently sat back on the bed without saying a word.

……

"Doss! Where's Caslo? Is he alright? Where is he?" Ajax's anxious voice could be faintly heard from outside the door.

"Sister! Why do you care about him? He cares more about his apprentices than about you! Why do you care whether he lives or dies! It's better to let him and the Ringwraiths fend for themselves!" Dos Anthony's muttering voice followed.

Renault looked over with pity, only to find that Caslo had somehow crawled into bed, looking like he was about to die, his face incredibly pale.

"You're a fucking genius! Using your battle qi micro-management like that is just incredibly unlucky!" Renault exclaimed, giving Caslo a thumbs-up as he watched him turn pale from controlling his battle qi.
