Chapter 721 The Battle of the Dragons
Chapter 721 The Battle of the Dragons
"He's quite a remarkable person. The dragon's power didn't assimilate him into a dragon slave! It's already very fortunate that it only changed his attributes!" Kaldo said wistfully.
"There's nothing we can do. His battle aura is still unstable as a newly promoted apprentice knight, so it's normal for him to be affected by external factors. But I didn't expect it to have such a big impact!" Caslo frowned. The fact that his attributes were directly changed was unbelievable to Caslo.
"Fortunately, no one's hurt. So be it if he's evil!" Kaldo sighed.
"Huh? Evil attribute? Where did the dark attribute go?" Kaldo jumped up as soon as he finished speaking, his huge dragon eyes staring at the sleeping Weiss in utter shock.
“The dark elemental battle aura has disappeared!” Caslo exclaimed in astonishment.
"It didn't disappear! It was devoured! Just as divine power assimilates the power of light, evil power also devours the power of darkness! So... what kind of monster is your disciple?" Kaldo said with lingering fear.
“I don’t know, but all I know is that he is my disciple. Evil is the one who uses power, not the power itself!” Caslo shook his head and said slowly.
"Let him be. With proper guidance, even evil power can become a true knight!" Caslo sighed, looking at the uncontrollable evil power emanating from Weiss's body.
……
"Good morning, teacher!" Weiss crawled in full of energy after sleeping all night. The grief of losing his loved ones had been buried deep in his heart. Although he hadn't regained his smile, he was still relatively calm.
"Let's go! Let's go slay the dragon!" Caslo grabbed Weiss and said without waiting for a reply.
"Wait! Wait! Teacher, ahhhhhh~" Weiss was terrified as Caslo lifted him onto the dragon's back, and then Kaldor soared into the sky and flew directly into the clouds towards the Dark Forest.
……
"Hey! Uncle! Don't move, I'll put some medicine on you!" Weiss said to the mercenary leaning against the tree trunk in front of him, holding his family's heirloom wound medicine. Caslo just glanced at Weiss and didn't say anything more.
"Little guy, don't bother! Get out of here quickly, I'm beyond saving. There's a crazed monster here that's been enraged, run!" The middle-aged mercenary, shrouded in black mist, smiled gently as he refused the hand extended by Weiss, then pointed to his rotting, blackened abdomen and gave a bitter laugh.
"Hey! Brother over there, judging by your attire, you're a knight? Are you his squire? Quickly take this young master away! We've released a demon! Run...run...run! Dragon...dragon come..." The middle-aged mercenary muttered intermittently, then suddenly a trickle of black blood spilled from the corner of his mouth, his eyes bulged, and he stopped moving.
"Let's go, he's beyond saving!" Caslo closed the mercenary's eyes, cleaved the ground beside him with his sword, dragged him in, and then swept the earth back into a small grave with his battle aura.
"A Tier 3 Ranger... only grazed on the abdomen by the aftershocks of the dragon's breath. It seems they really did go into the woods!" Caslo learned from his brief conversation with the survivor that the mercenary group carrying the egg hadn't left the Dark Forest when they were being chased by the dragon. Instead, they had hidden within the forest, while the other mercenaries volunteered to act as bait to lure the dragon away. However, the dragon unexpectedly returned halfway through...
"Poor child, dragon eggs are protected by their parents. Otherwise, how could those dragons dare to wander all over the world without fear of leaving eggs in their lair? It must be that the dragon calmed down and sensed that the dragon egg was still in the Dark Forest, which is why it returned from that village!" Kaldo sighed. This tragedy was caused by not understanding the habits of dragons.
This also explains why the dragon disappeared halfway through the chase; it must have turned back and continued playing "whack-a-mole" in the dark forest!
"Let's go! Find him! We'll gladly accept that dragon egg!" Caslo narrowed his eyes. His disciple didn't have a mount, so since you destroyed his disciple's home, you'll have to pay with your child!
"No...you really intend for the two of us to slay the dragon?" Kaldo looked at Caslo and then at Weiss, then decisively turned his head away. After all, Weiss wasn't even a burden; if they were in danger, he would be nothing but dust, not even cannon fodder.
"Are you scared?" Caslo frowned in surprise. "Scared my foot! The Storm Dragon is no coward! Come on! Find him for me! I'll fight him for three hundred rounds! Whoever runs away today is a coward!" Kaldo said defiantly.
"Let's go! Find Long! If you don't beat him to death today, you're a stepmother!" Caslo retorted sharply.
"I'd rather be a son of a bitch! I've never had a mother since I was a kid!" Kaldo flicked his tail and snorted.
"Dragon Lord is something else! Let's go!" Caslo picked up Weiss and jumped onto the dragon saddle.
……
"Roar!" A thick, blue dragon breath descended from the sky and crashed directly into the depths of the dark forest. Soon, a mournful cry was heard, but Caslo did not relax. Instead, he became more focused and alert.
"Roar!" Just as they expected, the next second a black and purple dragon breath burst out from the dense forest and headed straight for Kaldor.
"Boom!" The dragon's breath struck Kaldor's dragon power shield, sending up a shower of dragon power fragments. This made the self-proclaimed invincible storm dragon scoff, after all, if it couldn't even break through the protective dragon shield, how could it possibly compete with the great dragon master?
"Bang!" The evil dragon, smaller than Kaldor, was instantly sent flying backward. Kaldor's massive dragon body lunged forward and delivered a powerful punch, sending the dragon flying and revealing a grayish-white patch on its belly.
"Here you go!" Caslo flipped over and scooped up a basketball-sized dragon egg, stuffing it into his arms before flicking his wrist and flying towards Weiss.
"Go! Weiss! Go! I'll hold him off!" Seeing that Weiss had succeeded, Caslo was immediately relieved and turned his head to focus on dealing with the evil dragon.
"Wait for me outside the forest! It's not safe here!" Caslo said calmly. With the dragon's might emanating from two dragons, only a fool would dare to provoke him. Right now, he could move freely in the Dark Forest! No one dared to offend the dragon's majesty.
"Roar!" The evil dragon stared intently at Caslo with its scarlet eyes, revealing two rows of sharp dragon fangs.
"Don't scare me, Dad isn't easily frightened!" Caslo said unhappily.
"Disgusting humans! Damn wind dragon! You betrayed the dragon race and became a human's mount! You have disgraced the ancestral dragon!" The evil dragon glared at Kaslo's dragon and said viciously.
"What trash? You think you can just betray me like that? Are you a silver dragon or a gold dragon? Mind your own business!" Kaldor said coldly.
"Trash, prepare to die!" Kaldo felt a wave of disgust at the sight of the evil dragon's hideous body and immediately wanted to kill it. The two dragons couldn't exchange more than a few words before they collided!
"Roar!" The blue and blackish-purple dragon breaths collided suddenly, and the ground within a mile radius was overturned by the shockwave. Towering trees were broken and scattered everywhere. The two dragons quickly collided again, and their claws swung at each other's scales, sparks flying! Meanwhile, Caslo took the opportunity to open several bloody holes in the dragon's body!
……
"Little guy, are you lost?" A hoarse voice rang out in front of him as he ran towards the edge of the forest with the dragon egg in his arms.
"Ah! A ghost!" Weiss's eyes rolled back in fright, his legs went weak, and he fainted with a thud. The dragon egg in his arms rolled to the side.
"Sigh..." The figure in the black robe sighed, then reached out a hand made of bare white bones and helped Weiss lean against a tree trunk. Then, he thoughtfully picked up the dragon egg.
"Dragon eggs of the Shadow Dragon and the Demon Dragon? The survivors of the War of Wrath. It's a pity that the Dragon Knight General probably won't let him go!" The tall figure shrouded in black robes sighed slowly.
"You should not die without an heir; your bloodline should continue..." Gazing at the roaring dragons in the distance, the tall figure stood silently beside Weiss, watching the battle of the dragons in the distance!
"You got off easy, kid! The living... shouldn't trespass into the world of the dead!"
