The Lord of the Rings: Lords of Middle-earth.

Chapter 565 The Square Flag That Tears the Earth!

"Are you ready?" Omsk fastened his visor, his voice utterly calm, yet the chill in it sent shivers down one's spine.

"Of course, Your Majesty, we are ready to kick their asses at any time!" the knights said proudly, puffing out their chests.

“Very well, then let’s tear them apart! Let them see the power of the Imperial Banner Knights!” Omske said coldly.

The square banner, the most basic unit of a knightly order, is a standard knightly order unit composed of ten ten-man knights who can activate the Glory skill. It is the starting point and foundation of all knightly orders. Its flexibility and tactical capabilities have been recognized by all human lords, and it is also the size of most knightly orders. Therefore, this type of knightly order is mostly called the square banner knightly order.

Newly formed quasi-knightly orders would be equipped with a swallowtail banner. Once they reached the standard size of one hundred men, the swallowtail could be cut off, transforming them into a full-fledged knightly order. The banner was generally carried by two types of people: the strongest knight in the order would become the standard bearer, also known as the standard knight; the other type would be carried by the order's grandmaster. These banners would be hung on their lances, and the grandmaster would use them to guide the order in attack. Charging with the banner was an instinct for every member of the order.
At that moment, Omske alighted the banner of the Holy Knights on his lance—a red banner embroidered with a golden dragon baring its fangs and claws, its feet trampling countless swords and spears! (This is different from the Lagrange flag, which is red with a golden dragon.)
"Start accelerating!" Omske led the knights to slowly steer their warhorses. One advantage of the knights riding magical beast mounts was that they could carry a greater load! That's why they were able to carry these heavily armored knights, like iron cans, as they charged forward!

The warhorse's speed gradually changed from walking to a brisk trot, then to a trot, and finally, due to inertia, it began to sprint at high speed!

The bad news is that things started rather slowly.

Good news, the impact is even stronger!

"Hmm? Where is the thunder?" Akhorn's soul fire flickered in his eye sockets; after all, the Ringwraiths' perception was quite strong.

"Your Excellency is overthinking this! Are you perhaps afraid?" Bloodhammer Ghost Fang was completely baffled by Akhorn's words. Now at Tier 6, it had completely transcended the level of cannon fodder. While it might not be on par with the Ringwraiths, it certainly didn't have to live at their mercy anymore, so it could argue as it pleased!
“Something’s definitely not right!” Adonafi, the Lord of the Seven Rings of Decay, also sensed something was amiss. He stopped his Nightmare, which was crouching between his legs, somewhat bewildered.

"You..." Bloodhammer Ghost Fang was about to say something when its eyes suddenly widened. Not only had it heard the "thunder," it had also seen it!
……

"Charge! Charge!" Omske was followed by the other knights.

"Move forward like a horse against the wall!" Omske shouted.

Upon hearing Omsk's words, all the knights were startled. Compared to the common wedge formation that pierced through the enemy, Omsk had chosen a mowing-down attack this time!

"Boom! Boom!" The knights, having reached their peak speed, slowly dispersed, weaving and forming ranks as they charged. They kept their horses' heads in a straight line, then gradually reduced the distance between them, knee to knee, creating an impenetrable "wall" in just a few seconds. Because there was only one square flag, only one wall could be formed to ensure maximum effectiveness! A thousand-strong knightly order could form two or three such walls to mow down enemies. The denser the walls, the greater the killing effect; usually, in areas plowed by two or more walls, no living person could stand up. (After all, there are undead... let's be precise.)
At this moment, it wasn't just the orcs who were terrified by the Knights' wall-riding tactics; the Ringwraiths were also experiencing the same feeling of being drenched in sweat as they had in life. Why? One Knights of the Banner wasn't scary; what was scary was that a hero was lurking within this Knights of the Banner!
The combination of heroes and knights isn't a simple one-plus-one equation; it's a multiplier effect!

Those who have never stood before a rolling iron cavalry would never understand the terrifying oppressive force, but coincidentally, the orcs of today do understand, and will soon experience it.

"Form ranks! Form ranks! Pikemen! Hold your lances steady! Stand still!" Bloodhammer was waving his whip, driving the chaotic orcs away. In fact, the knights were at least several miles away from them. There was no way to hide, mainly because the sound of their charging warhorses was too loud... not to mention the double pleasure of riding iron cans on iron cans on iron cans' backs? The sound was indeed no different from thunder from a distance.

"Huff huff huff~" Due to the tense atmosphere of the approaching battle, the knights, whose adrenaline was surging, couldn't help but pant heavily. The misty white fog obscured the gaps in their faceplates, but everyone instinctively raised their shields.

"Crack! Crack!" With the sound of metal scraping together, knight's shields were stacked on top of each other, forming a perfect shield wall on horseback!

"We are Imperial Knights! We are Lagrange Knights! Let them see the determination of the Imperial remnants to defend their homeland! For the Emperor!" Omske roared. "For the Emperor!" The knights' roars terrified the panicked orcs even more.

Meanwhile, the two Ringwraiths and Bloodhammer quietly pushed themselves to the very back of the orcish ranks. They're not brain-dead! Who would bother to bravely confront a charging knightly order? Wouldn't it be better to let those cannon fodder wear down the knights' morale and stamina? It's their honor to sacrifice themselves for their lord and the Demon Lord!
"Raise your guns!" he commanded as they approached Omske.

"Whoosh!" The sharp, straight lances extended through the semi-circular opening left at the junction of the shields, and the knights quickly locked their lances into the locking devices on their waist armor and clamped them tightly in the crook of their arms.

In the blink of an eye, in just over ten seconds, the knights had traversed thousands of meters and charged forward. However, these orcs were indeed elite orcs; even in the chaos, they managed to turn the rear ranks into the front ranks, quickly forming two shield walls at the point of the knights' charge! Meanwhile, the other orcs who had reacted also began to turn around and change their formation to defend, and everything was developing in a way that was advantageous to the orcs.

“A fearless struggle!” Omske scoffed.

"Light and Shadow Shift! Break!" He brandished his spear, forcefully executing an upward thrust. A slender spear beam spun rapidly out, followed by two streams of battle aura—light and shadow—intertwining and swirling as they entered the shield wall the orc had just erected...

"..." Silence was deathly stillness! From the sky, it looked as if an invisible spear had pierced into the ranks of the orcs, leaving a terrifying cone-shaped gap nearly a hundred meters long and tens of meters wide. The defending orcs had long been torn to pieces by the light and shadow battle energy that had devoured and assimilated each other.

Whose attack did you think you received? It was a full-force strike from a hero who commanded the power of an entire Fangban Knights! Even a sixth-tier warrior could be instantly killed!

"Kill!" Without any hindrance, the knights plunged headlong into the orcish ranks whose defensive formation was in disarray.

"what!"

"Help!"

"Ouch! My intestines!"

The merciless iron hooves trampled the orcs, and the knights, stepping over the corpses, crashed into the still chaotic orcs inside. Like an indestructible steel wall, any living thing that stood in the way of the knights was impaled on the tip of their spears, trampled under their iron hooves, and smashed against their shields...

"Never stand in the way of the Knights' charge!" Omsk declared proudly, ignoring the orcs who were still groaning in pain and trying to dodge to the sides.

"Because...we are the Wall of the Continent!" The domineering whisper foreshadowed the fate of this orc army, powerless to resist the knights' charge.

Being scattered was their inevitable fate, because their formation was perfect when they were attacked, allowing Omsk to easily and comfortably plow through the Knights from beginning to end, providing them with a supreme one-stop service!

The only difference is that orcs can't resurrect by watching videos...
