The Lord of the Rings: Lords of Middle-earth.

Chapter 518: Ancient Barrow Corpse

Leaving aside the headaches his men were dealing with with Apophis Breo, Roland was quite relaxed. He leisurely carried a bamboo fishing rod and strolled off to fish in the Swift River.

The snow has begun to melt, and the ice on the river is starting to break up, allowing large numbers of fish to swim to the surface to breathe fresh air.

"Spring has arrived!" Roland stretched out his hand and caught a snowflake falling from the treetop. Hidden in the trunk, a vine quietly sprouted a tender bud.

"Sigh..." Roland gazed at the bobbing float in the water, lost in thought. He had shouldered all the affairs of the kingdom, and the continuous battles had left him physically and mentally exhausted.

"Tsk tsk tsk! Li Lao Er and Zhu Lao Si! You two are really amazing! You two have even maxed out the lousy title of Emperor on Horseback! I'm impressed!" Roland gazed wistfully at the swiftly flowing river.

"Sealing the Wolf and Dwelling in the Mountain..." A strange look appeared in Roland's eyes. After all, there has only been one champion throughout history. The achievement of Sealing the Wolf and Dwelling in the Mountain on Earth is too difficult to obtain, but it may not be the case in the Central Plains!

So what does it take to achieve the legendary feat of sealing the wolf's lair in Middle-earth? Simply lead Roland's current forces south, first destroying the Dolgodor fortress and capturing the Ringwraith Khammur, then marching south to Mordor to behead Sauron, finally dismantling Gombard, beheading the Witch-king of Angmar, and then turning the northern wastelands into a kingdom's racecourse! Oh, and all of this should ideally be accomplished before the age of 21! Sounds a bit too difficult… my foot!

Thinking of this, Roland felt ashamed. The Marquis of Champion went to war at the age of 18 and was able to achieve the legendary feat of capturing the wolf's lair at the age of 21, while he himself was still ignoring the risks and continuing to install things at the age of 18...

"Two years... Am I 18 already? Time really flies! But then again, the War of the Rings is still a long way off..." Roland shook his head and sighed.

"Huh?" Roland stared at a twisted, withered tree, examining it closely. He seemed to recall something that was once very familiar to him.

"Damn it! Why does this sound so familiar? It's all because of this thing!" Roland angrily threw down his fishing rod and turned to walk towards his tethered warhorse, seemingly heading back to Swiftstream City.

"Your Highness..." The guards quickly cleaned up the mess Roland had left behind and hurried after Roland, who had run away.

……

"Damn it! I've found the culprit! Yun Feng, come out here! Find a way to get rid of their ashes!" Roland shouted impatiently as soon as he entered the government office.

"Silence! My king, what's wrong with you? If you're sick, go see Pastor Ivy. I don't have time to play house with you!" Yun Feng waved his hand without even looking up, as if shooing away flies.

"I'm talking about serious matters!" Roland looked at Yun Feng, who was nonchalant and made no attempt to hide his perfunctory attitude, and suddenly felt like he was being forced to take a thesis defense.

"Your Highness, I'm very busy here. We can't just sit back and do nothing!" Yun Feng raised his head and glanced at Roland indifferently. Hmm! Still alive! Then we don't need to worry about him.

"I know who the culprit behind the plague is!" Roland dropped a bombshell.

"Oh? I'd like to hear more!" Yun Feng, intrigued, put down his quill and looked like he was about to hear a story. "Ancient Tomb Corpse Demon!" Roland said, enunciating each word clearly.

"So it was them! That explains it. They're the only ones in the entire Dark Faction who are good at using plagues. No wonder they were so quiet! They probably already slipped away and escaped!" Yun Feng muttered to himself, analyzing the situation. It has to be said that Yun Feng was pretty much right about what had happened.

"I'm sorry, Your Highness, although we know they are the culprits, we are still powerless. So many days have passed, those ancient tomb corpse demons have long since fled. What's the point of us knowing now?" Yun Feng spread his hands, his meaning clear: if you want to retaliate, you can't even find the culprits. Are you going to risk your life to strike?

"..." Roland stared at the sand table for a long time but said nothing in the end. He just clenched his fist and left.

“Sigh, he’s still not calm enough. Impulsiveness, arrogance, and ignorance are the greatest enemies of a king! A king must have a calm and composed mindset in the face of adversity…” Yun Feng shook his head with a wry smile. At this moment, Roland was like a child who had been bullied outside and finally found the culprit and ran home to his parents to ask them to stand up for him.

"Ancient Tomb Corpse Demon?" Omsk smacked his lips.

"Hmm, what Your Highness said today makes a lot of sense. I'd like to know if there's anything we can do to deal with them?" Yun Feng's eyes gleamed with wisdom. The world is like a game of chess, where every move is calculated! Planning ahead is something everyone should consider, and Yun Feng was no exception. Although he had been tricked by the dark faction this time, fortunately, no major problems were triggered. He could take it as a lesson learned.

"You mean the Ancient Tomb Corpse Demon?" Omske asked, puzzled.

"Hmm!" Yun Feng nodded, after all, light-element professionals definitely had more experience dealing with these things than he did!
“All holy spells can inflict fatal wounds on them! However, there aren’t many of us who can cast holy spells…” Omsk began to explain in a rapid-fire manner.

"..." Yun Feng's eyes twitched a few times.

"You probably didn't understand what I meant. What I need is to find them..." Yun Feng grinned helplessly. After all, how to deal with the Ancient Tomb Corpse Demons? That's too simple! Just send heavy infantry over and smash them to pieces! What's disgusting is the plague and virus they release. As for their combat power... Yun Feng said that's not a problem at all!

In the end, the Ancient Tomb Corpse Demon is just a large skeleton with an incredibly hard body covered in rotten strips of cloth and flesh. It is made of withered wood and steel-like bones, covered in moss and swamp algae, and reeks of decay. It is famous for spreading viruses and plagues and releasing plague curses!
"I'm sorry, I can't help you. The area covered by Long Lake and other water sources is too vast for us to monitor!" Omske shook his head. He was joking! Finding them would be like sacrificing his lifespan!

"Yes, I was too hasty!" Yun Feng shook his head and didn't blame Omske. He could only silently apologize to King Roland in his heart. It might take some time to make those culprits pay the price and avenge you.

“However, we can inform the other kingdoms, as many of them may not even know what an Ancient Tomb Corpse Demon is!” Omsk pondered.

“This way, other kingdoms will also take notice of these uninvited guests, making it difficult for them to poison us!” Omske couldn’t help but praise his own ingenuity.

“That’s a good idea. Here are some portraits; please have your knights pass them on to them.” Yun Feng deftly handed Omsk a portrait of an ancient tomb monster. Just looking at the portrait, one could already feel the dark and terrifying aura of these undead.

Yun Feng snapped his fingers, and a copying spell instantly transformed the portrait into dozens of neatly stacked pages on the table.
