Chapter 478 Little Spider?
"Have you rested enough?" Apophis Breo asked, tightening his belt.

"Yes!" Everyone nodded in agreement.

“Then let’s continue on our way!” Apophis Breo said with a wave of his hand.

……

a few days later.

"Why is this thing so dark?" Olaf frowned as he looked at the tree canopy that blocked out the sky.

"Is it possible that we're in the Dark Forest right now?" Apophis Breo smirked.

“Map!” Apophis Breo clapped his hands.

Immediately, a King's Knight stepped forward and pulled out a map from his leather pouch for Apophis Breo.

“Let me see…where are we?” Apophis Breo licked his lips, his eyes gleaming.

"Hey! Gentlemen! Good news! We're almost at Magic Stream!" Apophis Breo concluded after pointing to the map, calculating the time, and their speed.

"Pat pat pat!" Olaf gently patted Apophis Breo's shoulder armor, making a rustling sound.

"Get the hell out of here! Don't fucking touch me! Don't disturb me while I'm finding my way!" Apophis Breo shrugged and shook off Olaf's hand.

"Clap clap clap!" Olaf continued clapping.

"What the hell! Are you ever going to stop?" Apophis Breo shouted angrily without even looking up.

“Um, sir… is it possible that we’ve reached the territory of the elves… and then been discovered?” Olaf asked, his voice trembling.

“This place originally belonged to the elves…” Apophis Breo said casually, then looked up.

"..." Apophis Breo fell silent as he watched the elf who had emerged from behind a tree as thick as a man's embrace, aiming his bow. Then he slowly looked up... Hmm, good. His family, the Grand Duke of King's Landing, is surrounded by woodland elves.

"Who are you people?" An elven ranger captain jumped down from the tree.

"Why have you entered our territory? What are you doing? Where are you going?" The elves who came down started firing off like machine guns.

“I…” Apophis Breo opened his mouth, about to speak.

"Huh? You're soldiers from the Kingdom of Lagrang? Wait! You're not deserters, are you?" The elven ranger captain narrowed his eyes.

"..." Olaf's eye twitched. He clearly saw that the elven rangers had drawn their bows a little further back.

"I am the Grand Duke of Lagrange, the Kingdom of Kingland! I am going to the Misty Mountains to expand the kingdom's territory! We have no ill intentions, we are just passing through your territory, I hope you will not misunderstand!" Apophis Breo finally seized the opportunity to speak and said in one breath.

"How can you prove your identities?" The elven ranger captain was still skeptical. After all, what kind of duke was so down on his luck? And to go to the Misty Mountains to explore? He knew a little about the human nobles' exploration laws, but how could these people go to the Misty Mountains? He was extremely suspicious of this.

The mere mention of Apophis Breo immediately dispelled his sleepiness; Roland's commission and his noble documents had been rendered useless for a long time.

"Ahem!" Apophis Breo cleared his throat twice, signaling everyone to step aside. He was about to show off!

With a flick of his wrist, Apophis Breo pulled two documents from his storage equipment with a dashing and stylish gesture. The flamboyant movement caused all the rangers to aim their arrows at him; if he had been any slower, he would have been a target.

"...My apologies, Your Highness, the Duke of King's Landing. We were rude. All your actions were lawful and compliant. As compensation, we would like to invite you to our residence so that we can extend our hospitality." The elven ranger apologized, patting his chest.

According to the alliance agreement of the Lonely Mountain Alliance, allied forces can march on the borders of other countries when their purpose is to fight against the forces of darkness. Apophis Breo's purpose for this trip is clearly in line with the agreement.

"No, we need to hurry to the Old Pass." Apophis Breo shook his head, refusing the elves' offer. Olaf shook his head regretfully; it seemed there was no chance of seeing the elven beauties.

"Are you planning to follow the magic stream along the elven path?" The elven ranger captain was taken aback.

“Yes! Because people have already walked through there.” Apophis Breo nodded, after all, several times they had entered the Western world through that route.

“However, I need to remind you that the road has actually been abandoned for a long time! No one has cleaned or maintained it, so nobody knows what’s there!” said the Elf Ranger Captain.

"And you need to watch out for the spiders there; those filthy, dark insects lurk in the shadows, waiting for their chance to strike!" the elves kindly warned.

“Thank you for reminding me!” Apophis Breo said with a gesture of thanks.

……

"Tch! Just some little spiders! What's the big deal!" Olaf poked at the spider webs hanging on the treetops with his halberd.

"We should still be careful, after all, there are magical beasts among spiders, not to mention that all spiders are said to have the bloodline of the Ugoliant!" Apophis Breo said seriously.

"What is Ugoliant? Is it really that tough? I wonder if it can withstand a Go?" Olaf said dismissively.

"..." Apophis Breo suddenly had a terrible feeling that he shouldn't have talked to Olaf; to say that was like casting pearls before swine was an understatement.

“That thing is an ancient evil god!” Apophis Breo said with exasperation.

"Gods and ghosts are too far removed from us. Where are the gods now?" Olaf shrugged, thinking Apophis Breo was making a mountain out of a molehill.

"And even if they have the blood of gods, how big can those things grow? Can they even be as big as my fist?" Olaf gestured to his fist, which was the size of a sandbag.

“The Dark Spider, a low-level magical beast, can actually grow quite large…” Apophis Breo explained.

“Big? How big can it be? I’ve seen spiders before… bang!” Olaf slammed into Apophis Breo’s horse’s rump, making the horse armor clang loudly.

"Why did you suddenly stop, sir..." Olaf said, rubbing the spot where he had been hit, as he took off his crooked helmet.

"Shh!" Apophis Breo grabbed Olaf and covered his mouth.

"Silence! Don't make a fuss!" Apophis Breo growled.

"Waaah~" Olaf patted Apophis Breo's hand, "Sir, you're covering my nose!"
"Don't move! Look at that thing!" Apophis Breo shook his cerebral palsy a few times and growled.

"Waaaah!" Olaf's head was turned around by Apophis Breo. He looked at the forest not far ahead and saw that it was covered with a white veil. No! That thing didn't seem to be a white veil. It was a damn net.

“The Demon Spider!” Apophis Breo slowly released his grip and said solemnly.

"Slowly back up!" Apophis Breo waved and whispered, indicating that they needed to take a detour.
