Chapter 379 Harvest Time
Having finally gotten Yun Feng to accept his exploitation and promised to share some of the burden, Roland quickly slipped out of the government affairs hall; he had more important things to do.

"System! Open the log and retrieve my last reward!" Roland found a room, sat down casually, and began to study the reward the system had given him last time.

First, there's the land blessed by the Goddess of Harvest. This is similar to the five acres of magical plantation Roland created, except it can only be used to grow ordinary crops, and its effects are quite powerful! Unique effect: Applicable to all kinds of ordinary plants; any ordinary crop planted on it will mature once per season. (The blessing and favor of the Goddess of Harvest!)
"Ten acres is pretty good! Wouldn't it be great to plant some fruit trees?" Roland immediately thought of a use for it. He had no intention of using it to grow grain, since he was currently buying grain from the system store to feed his army. This amount of grain was just a drop in the ocean compared to his huge deficit.

Roland had checked the system panel and saw that he currently owned over 8200 acres of arable land. However, the output of this land was only enough to ensure the kingdom's people had enough to eat and wear; it was far from sufficient to support the army. Growing some fruit for winemaking would be a good idea, like grapes…

"Upgrade all knights' equipment?" Roland stared at the upgrade card, lost in thought. The Lagrange knights' equipment was already quite good; upgrading further...

"System! Upgrade all knights' armor!" Roland said firmly. Putting everything else aside, at least the two dragon knights and the two heroes should be able to get a full set of epic gear after this!
"In use! Successful! All knight equipment has been replaced! Please check it yourself, host." The system's voice was devoid of any emotion.

"Huh?" Roland suddenly felt his body sink, and when he looked down, sure enough! The style of the main armor on his collar had changed.

"System personal dashboard!" Roland called out to the system, since nothing was more intuitive than the personal dashboard on the system.

Roland:

Age: 17
Class: Paladin
Level: Level 3

Nobility Rank: King (Monkey Version)

……

"Wait! What the hell is this 'monkey version' all about? I have two cities and a town, and I'm not even worthy of being called a king?" Roland couldn't help but exclaim as he read on. "This is so insulting! Do you know how damaging this 'monkey version' is to one's self-esteem?"

"According to the analysis, any border count possesses a more prosperous territory and settlement than you! Please keep up the good work, host, and earn the title of king as soon as possible..." The system calmly explained to Roland. "..." Roland blinked. You could say there's something wrong with it, but what it said makes perfect sense! You could say there's nothing wrong with it, but why does it sound so off?
Roland paused for a moment, then looked down again. "Forget it," he thought, "I won't humiliate myself. From the perspective of the Lord of the Rings game world, aside from high-level combat ability, Roland isn't much stronger than a powerful border baron..."

Finally, Roland found what he was looking for. His weapon, the Dragon Slayer Sword, remained unchanged, but his lance had been upgraded to a Battle-grade Adamantite Dragonlance! Roland fell silent, wondering how he could possibly wield a three-zhang-long dragonlance on horseback…

The original flagship armor has now been upgraded to the epic-grade Grand Duke Heavy Dragon Armor. This heavy plate armor, inscribed with lightness techniques, isn't much heavier than the original, but its defensive power is more than ten times stronger! After all, it's forged from melted dragon scales, combined with the Sage's defensive magic inscriptions. The Grand Duke Dragon Armor doesn't have many active skills, only one passive skill: self-healing! But the rest is all focused on defense…

Roland almost burst into tears looking at the incredibly understated plate armor on the panel! Thank goodness! It wasn't that flashy, shimmering gold anymore! That golden plate armor had tricked him more than once or twice; this time, the Grand Duke's Dragon Armor was finally a restrained dark gold, and even matte! Not bad, not bad! Roland had always despised those flashy nobles. Wasn't the point of being a noble to be docile? Wasn't being a simple, honest nobody better? You know, the fastest to die on the battlefield are those flashy types!
Roland refused to believe that anyone would still target him now that he was wearing the Grand Duke's Dragon Armor! It would be too much for anyone to try and shoot him in the dark next time! Look at the understated patterns and matte color! Such an ordinary piece of plate armor, it would be the most inconspicuous piece in a crowd!
The warhorses have also changed, well... not much. They've been castrated and cut down to the Gale Pegasus – the Gale Horse. Aside from not being able to fly, they're basically the same. They're both the most pathetic low-level magical beasts, but the Gale Pegasus is much more valuable than the Gale Horse.

Overall, this was a huge win! Roland felt he got a great deal just from the Grand Duke's Dragon Armor! After all, only Grand Dukes could equip it! Not to mention the other knights also received a major upgrade to their equipment.

"Let me see what else is there?" Roland said as he rummaged through the latrine.

"Huh? A Knight Skill Inheritance Statue!" Roland's eyes widened! This is a treasure! This is truly a treasure! Roland had obtained an Archer Skill Inheritance Statue before! The advantage of this thing is that you can learn skills through it without a skill tutor!
"Let me see what skill it is? Salty Fish Thrust? Ugh! First Strike Dash! Hmm..." Roland paused for a moment. It's somewhat useful, but not particularly significant. The skill's effect is a rapid dash a short distance (approximately 10-20 meters). The only notable feature is that he can attack from zero speed, meaning it only takes less than a second to go from a standstill to top speed. It's okay as a single-target threat, but basically useless against large groups of enemies... (Of course, it's useful for a quick counterattack if ambushed...)
"Hmm, I'll send it to the Knights' Temple later! Let those knights learn it themselves!" Roland thought for a moment and made the arrangements. Although it wasn't very useful because Roland was involved with the Knights, it was always good to have more skills.

"Let me see what else is left! We've at least crushed a 10,000-strong army! Heaven and earth spirits! Can't you give me something big? I don't care if it's a dragon knight, a hero, a sage, or a conqueror!" Roland prayed.

"Huh? Nutritional Repair Potion (Epic) *3!" Roland blinked. What kind of weird stuff is this? If he wasn't mistaken, this thing is for monster eggs or monster cubs, right? He didn't even have a single monster cub, let alone monster eggs, at home...

"Next!" Roland composed himself and continued opening the system reward blind boxes.

"Pfft! I finally got a new unit... and this is what you give me?" Roland almost had a stroke.
