Chapter 366 Prisoners, Wrath!
Chapter 366 Prisoners, Wrath!
Okan's stab missed its mark. His dagger pierced Naluye's breastplate, but only her right chest... The stab nearly punctured Naluye's lung, but it wasn't fatal. So he died, just like the ancestors of countless ages, his blood watering this land, which was once the territory of the Empire!
"Whoosh!" Enraged, Naluye brandished her battle halberd, using her powerful battle aura to mercilessly tear apart the four corpses. Shredded flesh and limbs flew everywhere, demonstrating Naluye's fury; she had even begun to desecrate the corpses. It was hard to imagine that the peaceful water element could be so brutal...
After venting her anger, Naluye forced herself to sit up and bandaged her wounds. She then activated her skills to begin healing herself. The second-tier water-based combat skill, Healing Drop, and the third-tier Surging Ripple were both effective at healing her injuries. She quickly reached out, and gentle water-based combat energy enveloped her wounds, beginning the healing process.
……
"Huh! There's a fluctuation of battle aura in the distance?" Ajax's eyes are quite sharp.
"Could it be magical beasts hunting?" Caslo shook his head and laughed.
"Go and see for yourself!" Ajax commanded her dragon to swoop down.
“Okay!” Caslo nodded and followed.
……
"Something's wrong! There are corpses on the ground!" Caslo shared Kaldo's dragon eyes and immediately spotted the various mangled pieces of flesh on the ground.
“It’s the remains of Sharma! They’re ours!” Ajax’s face quickly darkened.
“These bastards! They killed our men!” Caslo’s eyes instantly turned bloodshot.
"You wait in the sky! I'm coming down to check!" Caslo was furious.
Before Ajax could reply, he plunged down, his dragon wings whistling as he flew at high speed.
"Hmm?" Naluye, who was healing, opened her eyes, raised her head, and showed a puzzled expression.
"Boom!" A terrifying shockwave suddenly exploded, and a massive storm dragon descended from the sky. Facing the colossal dragon, Naluye felt a chill run down her spine. However, before she could react, the billowing dust suddenly exploded, and a figure lunged out...
"Whoosh!" Naluye barely managed to raise her battle halberd.
A sharp "snap!" rang out, deafeningly loud in the silent night sky.
As Caslo burst out of the smoke, he raised his hand and slapped Naluye so hard that she spun three and a half times in the air before collapsing to the ground, her limbs twitching. A fifth-tier dragon knight's enraged strike could truly kill!
Naluye's left cheek swelled up at a visible speed, and Caslo showed no mercy, grabbing her hair and lifting her up.
A crisp "clang!" rang out awkwardly in the night.
Naluye stared in disbelief at the mithril dagger in her hand, then followed the dagger to her intact breastplate, before looking up at Caslo, who had a half-smile on his face.
"Boom!" Naluye suffered the same fate she had inflicted on Okan. She was slammed into the ground, and only her convulsing body showed that she was still alive.
"Whoosh!" Ajax descended from the sky, looking at the bloody and gruesome scene around her. Although she had already prepared for the worst, she still couldn't help but look at Naluye with hope, hoping to hear the answer she wanted to hear.
“…” Naluye narrowed her swollen eyes. She realized that she had no chance at all, and neither did they. Two dragon knights! The vanguard… the army behind them… all was finished.
"Pah! Do you see them? They're all here! Those bastards are all here! You mongrels! I've shredded them all!" Naluye spat out a mouthful of blood at Caslo in a fit of rage and then cursed.
Caslo merely tilted his head slightly to dodge Naluye's bloody spittle, staring coldly at her with murderous intent that was almost tangible. "Whoosh!" Ajax wasn't about to let her get away with it; she swung her longsword, intending to decapitate Naluye.
"Clang!" Caslo raised his sword to block Ajax's blade.
"Don't kill her! Leave it to His Highness to decide! Killing her would be too easy on her!" Caslo's voice seemed to come from the depths of hell, and the chilling tone made Ajax involuntarily take a small step back.
“Okay…” Ajax nodded hesitantly, not because she had any intention of killing this woman, but because she was afraid of Caslow’s current state; that chilling look in his eyes was something she had never seen before…
“Collect the bodies of our brothers! The loyal soldiers of Lagrange should not be left to rot in the wilderness, nor should they be buried in the middle of nowhere!” Caslo shook his head and ignored Naluye.
"Pfft!" Naluye was kicked away and "elegantly" spat out a mouthful of blood in mid-air.
"You cannot die before His Highness speaks!" Ajax grabbed her hand and snatched the mithril dagger from her grasp.
“These are our soldiers’ items…” Ajax looked at the dragon pattern on the dagger and fell silent for a moment.
"Snap! Snap!" Ajax reached out and dislocated Naluye's arm in a few quick movements.
"Ah! Kill me! You bitch! You scum! Kill me if you dare! Kill me... Waaah!" Naluye roared madly, but Ajax gagged her.
Ajax then casually tore Naluye's clothes into strips and used them to tie the captive up tightly. She then pried open Naluye's mouth, forced a bottle of basic healing potion down her throat, gagged her again, and then tossed her aside without paying her any further attention.
……
"Have you collected them all?" Caslo was a little downcast. Even though he had tried his best, a large number of remains had been annihilated by the battle aura, and even Okan's body was gone. He could only collect a few handfuls of bloody soil.
“Hmm…” Ajax nodded. The light cavalryman who died in the camp was actually the one whose body was the most well preserved. Although he was broken into pieces, at least all the parts were found.
“Take that bitch with us… let’s go find His Highness…” Caslo shook his head. Apart from the remains of a few people, there was nothing else to take. The four people’s mounts had also been sacrificed. Caslo casually blasted a large hole and buried them.
"Don't be like this... It's their fate to die on the battlefield, and it's ours too..." Ajax gently leaned closer and softly nuzzled Caslow's chest with her head.
“Let’s go!” Caslo took a deep breath and mounted the dragon’s back.
"Okay!" Ajax nodded obediently, then casually picked up Naluye and tied her to the dragon saddle.
"Boom!" With a powerful flap of dragon wings, the two figures quickly disappeared.
……
"Damn it!" Roland coldly wiped the blood off his face with the back of his hand.
"Your Highness! We've captured three prisoners!" A knight brought three wounded chariot soldiers to Roland.
