The Lord of the Rings: Lords of Middle-earth.

Chapter 340 Forget about it, just wash up and go to bed!

"Hmm? Where is His Highness?" Renault asked Yunfeng, looking at her with a puzzled expression.

"He went to see Verway!" Yun Feng said, reviewing the documents without even looking up.

“Valvey? That Elf King?” Renault frowned.

"Why haven't I seen him in so long? Where are the elves?" Renault asked, looking around.

"They've gone to find the centaurs! King Roland and Caslo went to find them!" Yun Feng smiled and continued reviewing the documents.

"Oh! Then approve these supplies and equipment for me!" Renault handed Yunfeng a list.

"Wow! This consumes so much energy?" Yun Feng unfolded it and immediately felt like he was about to burst out laughing. Are these people pigs? How can they consume so much?

"Try training a thousand or so people every day?" Renault said irritably. With the food and supplies the people eat and the wear and tear from training, how could there not be a lot of damage?
"Okay, fine! I'll give you a note, go to the warehouse and get your stuff!" Yun Feng nodded. He didn't mean anything by it, he was just shocked that Renault's usage had exceeded his expectations.

“Oh! By the way, I would like you to send a cavalry unit to help me escort it!” Renault made a request.

"Who are the people you brought?" Yun Feng asked curiously.

“Two hundred Battanian archers, after all, they're effective at both close and long range!” Renault flashed his pearly white teeth; the Battanian archers' mithril armor-piercing hammers were infamous…

"Alright, His Highness has left with the Holy Radiance Knights. I can give you a squad of a hundred heavy cavalrymen..." Yun Feng flipped through the soldiers' dispatch orders and found that only the heavy cavalrymen were available; the light cavalrymen had already been sent out to help the people harvest grain.

"Hmm, whatever!" Renault didn't care at all, after all, he only needed some mobile forces to drive away those hidden villains.

"Alright! Go and mobilize the troops yourself!" Yun Feng quickly wrote the mobilization order and handed it to Renault.

……

"It's been almost two days..." Roland looked up helplessly at the setting sun.

"Don't worry, don't worry! My ranger set off three days ago! He should be back soon..." Verway reassured him.

"I'm starting to regret getting on your pirate ship!" Roland had a headache. Although he could have just left, he still had some thoughts about these griffins. Putting aside everything else, it all boiled down to one word—greed!

“A true hunter must be patient!” Verway admonished.

"I have the patience, but I'm afraid of getting hurt by the griffin!" Roland glanced at Verway with annoyance. Is capturing a griffin a matter of patience? It's a matter of strength!

"Believe me! Our steppe elves' ancestral hunting skills are quite good!" Verway said with pride. After all, the steppe elves were once a powerful clan that stood up against the forces of darkness, so it's not surprising that they had some hidden treasures.

"Am I concerned with hunting? I'm concerned with catching them unharmed! You don't want to be targeted by a few wild griffins, do you?" Roland retorted to Verway. If they really let the adult or sub-adult griffins escape, things would get really messed up! Griffins are known for holding grudges... "There's always a way, isn't there? You can have your dragon knights use their dragon might to intimidate them! And I heard you already have two dragon knights! Dealing with a group of griffins should be a piece of cake, right? For the wise and mighty Prince Roland, how could mere griffins possibly catch the eye of a dragon knight?" Verway's flattery was relentless.

"Come on, griffins are top-tier even among high-level magical beasts. Quantity leads to quality! I'm afraid those mad griffins will be slaughtered by my dragon knights!" Roland said seriously. He wasn't joking. Whether in the game or in the real history of Middle-earth, there are indeed many unfortunate dragon knights and dragons who have been killed by griffins... Can you imagine what it would have been like if an entire cliff had been covered with griffin nests? Have you ever seen griffins darkening the sky and fighting dragons? Roland had seen it in the game... It was truly awe-inspiring. It must be said that the sight of those top-tier lords commanding their griffin knights and dragon knights in battle was truly beautiful! But their deaths were also truly tragic...

……

“Grey Mountains? Are you sure?” Verway asked, looking at the elven rangers in front of him who were drinking water and chewing bread.

“Yes! We’ve memorized the route and marked it!” the rangers said after exchanging glances.

"Tell me the information! First, tell me how many adult specimens there are!" Roland stepped out from behind Verway.

"Greetings, King Roland! We have eighteen adult griffins!" the rangers replied respectfully after bowing.

"Holy crap! Caslo, let's head back!" Roland turned and left upon hearing this!
"Huh? What's wrong?" Verway reached out to stop Roland.

"Brother, I just want to get rich, I have no intention of dying! Listen to eighteen adult griffins! This is a huge herd! Even dragons would avoid them!" Roland's mouth was like a machine gun, and after he finished speaking, his whole body trembled with excitement.

“I know you’re excited, after all, we’ll be rich if we eat so many griffins! We need to figure out how to wipe them all out in one fell swoop!” Verway patted Roland on the shoulder.

"No? Which eye of yours saw me excited? I'm trembling because I'm fucking scared! Scared! Don't you understand! You're plotting how to wipe them all out in one fell swoop! You're thinking about how to make them wipe us out even more easily!" Roland was dumbfounded.

“Caslo! Go back and remind our men to prepare for air defense! These griffins have a huge range! The territory needed to support this group is not small! Although griffins will not attack humans on their own initiative, we still have to be prepared!” Roland turned to Caslo and instructed him.

"Don't you want to reconsider? Such a large group! We'll split it 80/20 after we capture it! You get 80% and I get 20%!" Verway was still obsessed with the griffins.

"Do you know what the best kill ratio is between a griffin and a dragon?" Roland stared at Verway with a livid face.

"How much?" Verway really didn't know. Who in the general public could witness a fierce battle between a griffin and the sky's overlord, the dragon?

"Five to one! Five griffins for one dragon!" Roland's face was grim. The eighteen adult griffins had completely extinguished Roland's desire for this race. Well, you could say it was extinguished, but at least for now, it was deeply buried in his heart.

"Ah..." Verway opened his mouth wide enough to fit a griffin egg. He never expected the casualty ratio to be so terrible. In his mind, a dragon could easily take on more than ten griffins.

"Tell me, are you going to stop the remaining eight griffins?" Roland retorted. Fighting from below to above was a death trap! No one could guarantee how much damage those eight griffins could inflict…

"Forget it! Go wash up and go to sleep! At least for now, we don't have the strength to touch that griffin clan! Unless you can get the Woodland Kingdom and the Singrey Kingdom to join forces!" Roland said shrewdly. If you include the two Elf Kings and the Dragon Knight, plus the two Dragon Knights and two heroes, it's not impossible to fight them! At least you can suppress those adult griffins. The remaining sub-humans are troublesome, but they are still much easier to deal with than those adult griffins.
