Chapter 268 The Fire of Udon
Chapter 268 The Fire of Udon
"Roar!" A pillar of fire shot up from the bottom of the large mine pit, and even Kaldo instinctively dodged.
“Udon’s Fire! Moria’s Balrog!” Roland’s expression turned serious.
"Prepare for battle! Everyone prepare for battle! Be ready to take the Ice Blue Potion at any time! The Flame Demon is coming!" Caslo shouted anxiously. Although Omske and the dragons were the main force in the battle, ordinary soldiers were also likely to be affected by the aftershocks.
"Roar!" Kaldor raised his long dragon neck, and his angry roar echoed in the abyss!
"Roar!" The Smurf also let out a clear and stirring dragon roar, not to be outdone.
"Roar!" Even from a distance, Roland could hear the contempt and provocation in the Balrog's roar... Roland couldn't help but twitch his lips. How brave must this fool be? Has he gone mad from sleep? Daring to provoke even a dragon?
“…” Caslo.
“…” Omsk.
"Is it provoking us? It's challenging the dignity of the dragon race, isn't it?" The Smurf grinned, seemingly furious.
"...Roar! Calm down!" Kaldo was a bit taken aback by the Balrog's move. He restrained the impulsive Smurf; if he didn't keep her in check, who knew if she would crawl down and fight the Balrog to the death the next second.
"Damn it..." Omske shook his head. He had already foreseen the fate of this poor Balrog. It had barely escaped the War of Wrath. Wouldn't it be better to play dead? Wouldn't it be better to be alive? You know, Roland didn't have any earth dragons under his command. If this Balrog had just been hiding, no one would have been able to do anything about it. But... this guy dared to provoke two dragons?
"Does it not know the difference between a true dragon and a wyvern?" Caslo, already a fifth-tier dragon knight, was so angry he laughed. If he were still a wyvern knight, he would have accepted the fire demon's taunts and provocations, since their life levels were indeed incomparable. But he was now a true dragon knight! Riding a giant dragon! This made Caslo think he was riding a fake dragon.
“Don’t be careless! This thing is an ancient relic that has existed since the War of Wrath. We don’t know how many trump cards it has! Caslo, find a way to provoke it! Lure it out!” Omske thought for a moment and said to Caslo.
"How do I provoke it?" Caslo was at a loss.
"Command your dragons to attack the Balrog madly! Whether you can wound it or not, at least enrage it!" Omske ordered. After all, proud races like Balrogs and dragons would never allow others to provoke them so brazenly. His order for Caslo to do this was tantamount to dancing on the Balrog's ancestral grave and then taking a dump...
"Understood!" Caslo grinned mischievously and summoned his dragon mount.
"My knight! What's wrong?" Kaldo, already in a bad mood, felt his pride had been insulted.
“Of course we’ll do it! Let’s do it like this…” Caslo and his dragon began to communicate telepathically.
"Will this work?" Kaldo tilted his head and looked at Caslo with a puzzled expression.
"Why don't you try and see?" Caslo shrugged.
"Roar!" Kaldo roared to the sky and inhaled a large amount of air.
"Whoosh~" The next second, a thick, cyan dragon breath several meters long was sprayed into the large mine pit.
"Dragon's Breath? Is it even useful? It might not even reach the Balrog! The range is too short!" Roland shook his head, not optimistic.
"This isn't ordinary dragon breath! It's the ultimate skill, Breath of Limits! With a range of tens of thousands of meters!" Caslo shook his head and chuckled. The Storm Dragon inhaled and compressed a large amount of air, and during the skill's pre-cast animation, a certain area could even be vacuumed!
"By the Dragon God!" Roland gazed at the dragon's breath, emitting a faint green light, illuminating the stone walls of the large mine pit and leading straight to the underground! After hearing Caslo's words, Roland no longer had any doubts about the destructive power of this thing... "Boom~" After a long while, a violent roar came from the large mine pit.
"It must be that a layer of rock has been washed away!" Omske peered out.
"Smurf, are you sure the coordinates you provided are correct?" Omske's expression was very unpleasant. There had been no movement for so long. Had he missed his chance?
"Are you questioning the dragon's mental power?" the Smurf asked, his expression unfriendly.
"No, no, no! I wasn't questioning the elven dragon! I was just questioning you." Omske shrugged.
A faint howl drifted up from the abyss.
"Hit!" Roland excitedly pumped his fist.
“Not enough! Maybe this isn’t enough to enrage it and make it lose its mind and attack us! Kaslow, give it another good blow!” Omske shook his head and said to Kaslow.
"Received! Kaldo is in your hands now!" Caslo patted Kaldo's broad back.
"Whoosh~" Kaldo opened his huge mouth and frantically inhaled and compressed...
"Roar!" Another cyan dragon breath plunged straight into the Moria mine.
"Aow!" This time, the fire demon's cry was very miserable.
"Wow!" The Smurf wagged her tail rapidly, but with her current size, what difference was there between wagging her tail and having braids? Roland immediately hid far away.
"You've breached its defenses! Its blood has spilled out! I can sense it!" the Smurf said solemnly.
"Watch out!" Omske quickly warned.
"Get out of the way!" Caslo quickly called to his dragon mount.
"Boom!" A pillar of scorching magma shot into the sky, almost grazing Kaldor's body. If he had been hit by such a blow, although a dragon's vitality wouldn't kill him, it certainly wouldn't have been pleasant.
"How dare you! You actually dare to fight back? Caslo! Smurf! Give it a piece of your mind! Beat it so badly its own mother wouldn't recognize it!" Roland looked at the terrifying pillar of magma with lingering fear, having almost been blown away along with it. He then cursed the Balrog.
"..." Balin stared at Roland, who seemed to be standing on a moral high ground at the edge of the cliff, cursing the Flame Demon's ancestors for 18 generations with the utter disdain of a shrew. He fell silent. What had turned a polite king into this? Was it the darkness of humanity? The decline of morality?
I vaguely remember a great man saying that when someone curses for wealth, that person is guilty! When someone curses for bread, society is guilty! When someone curses for dignity, the world is guilty! (Just kidding!)
"Sigh..." Balin shook his head, watching the storm dragon and the elf dragon exchanging blows with the fire demon, and silently sat down on the cold stone slab.
"By the Dragon God! Are you trying to blast the entire Moria Mine apart with this firepower?" Omske frowned as he watched the Balrog and Kaldor occasionally unleash a few spells. When he saw the Smurf sprite spewing out various elemental breaths like a turret, three black lines immediately appeared on his forehead...
"Stop making things worse! Are you setting off fireworks? Do you think your breath attack can even hit anything?" Omske pointed at the skill that had dissipated halfway through and lost its offensive power, and said to the Smurf. So, only Kaldo and the Balrog were really fighting, while the Smurf was just like a mascot lighting up the mine...
