Chapter 264 The Eternal King
"For our homeland! For our people! For the descendants of Turin! Fight! Fight! Destroy the evil!" Nien's entire body surged with battle aura, and terrifying battle flames emanated from his body, subtly imbuing his sharp heavy axe with a shimmering light.

"Kill!" With the exertion of his thigh muscles, a powerful force was transmitted from the ground to his legs.

"Boom!" The massive figure, as solid as a mountain, collided violently with the Balrog! King Nien of the Dwarves unleashed a desperate attack.

"Thump!" The Balrog swung his flaming greatsword and sent Nien flying back even faster than he had charged. The disheveled dwarf king rolled around in the ruins like a pitiful beggar.

"Cough cough!" The Overlord class and the earth-type battle aura granted Nain a powerful life force. The immense life force flowed through the earth into his body, and he spat out a mouthful of blood. Nain picked up his axe and stood up from the ruins once again.

"Get out of my way!" He raised the Balrog's flaming sword and saved a dwarf who was almost torn to pieces by him.

"Be careful!" Nien could only say before re-entering the battle.

……

"Boom!" Nien was sent flying again, but unlike before, there were fewer dwarves attacking the Balrog. The air was filled with the stench of burning dwarf remains!
"How dare you! Slaughter my subjects! Assassinate my father! Destroy our home!" Nain roared, pointing his battle axe at the Balrog. Although Nain looked disheveled and covered in blood, he was not seriously injured. The earth element battle aura gave him a powerful physique and vitality, and also gave him the unique skill of absorbing earth energy to heal himself!

……

After an unknown amount of time, the entire Fourth Hall was almost reduced to ruins, with leaning pillars, collapsed domes, scattered debris, and the lone Ner'n and Balrog.

"Fight! Dwarves of Caesardoom! Sons of Torino! Fight!" Alone, Nien launched another attack on the Balrog. Though the king was alone, he was not fighting alone! Behind him were countless descendants of Torino! The faith of the Longbeard Clan dwarves sustained him!
“Fight…! Turin…” Nien wearily swung his battle axe again. He was tired, exhausted. He suddenly remembered the dwarven roasted meat, the enticing aroma of rum! The magnificent Caesardum, the smiling people, and his kind father…

"Don't even think about leaving! You butcher! You scoundrel from the gutter! I curse you as the Dwarf King! You will be pierced by a thousand arrows! Your bones will be crushed to dust!" Nien swayed as he brandished his broken and chipped battle axe. His armor was long gone, with only a few strips of cloth stubbornly clinging to his body to barely cover him.

"Roar!" The enraged dwarf king leaped up and fiercely slashed at the Balrog's head, the battle axe, its blade already worn smooth, smashing open the Balrog's skull.

"Agh!" The Balrog lashed out in pain, sending Nain flying once again.

"You're in pain? You're in fear? Hahaha! I thought you were fearless! I thought you were invulnerable! I thought you could crush me like a bug! But alas... you can't! Turin! Long live the Balrog!" Nien watched the Balrog slowly retreat, seeing the same fear in its eyes as he had felt before. Two streams of bloody tears flowed from his eyes...

"This strike will decide the outcome... and also determine life and death!" Nien said slowly, as if he had made up his mind.

"Bloodlust! Berserk!" He dragged his no-longer-sharp battle axe slowly toward the Flame Demon, his eyes turning crimson! His muscles began to bulge!
"Bloody fury!" He calmly strode forward, leaving a deep footprint in the hard stone... Veins bulged beneath his bulging muscles, and a large amount of blood accelerated its flow and evaporated, forming a faint blood mist on his skin...

"Move Mountains!" he roared through gritted teeth. His bones began to elongate, and his originally short frame began to swell like an inflating balloon. His size exploded, and his nearly three-meter-tall frame made it impossible for anyone to tell that he was related to a dwarf. "Blood Burning!" he hissed in a hoarse voice, uttering the two words, "Blood Burning Secret Technique!" A warrior's life-or-death skill, as unique as a knight's sacrifice! Once activated, it cannot be deactivated!

Nien's blood began to burn, energy gathering in every inch of his body. A nearly ten-meter-long axe blade extended from his battle axe. He grew weaker and weaker, but his eyes grew brighter and brighter. Suddenly, he seemed to see the hope of victory...

The Balrog was terrified! He trembled! He feared Ner's world-destroying strike! This strike was the culmination of a conqueror's life's power, a power that even the gods would shun!
"Heh heh, this strike... Gods, atone!" Nien leaped up madly, swinging his arms as the axe, imbued with the power of his entire life, slashed through the air in a graceful crescent, bringing death with it as it descended from the sky...

"Awooo~ Ah~ Ugh! Roar~ Oh!" The fire demon howled in agony, experiencing the fear of death for the first time. In that moment, it seemed as if a true god had descended upon the world! That earth-shattering blow almost cleaved its shoulder in two!
"Bang!" The struggling Balrog threw Nien away again, and Nien, who fell into the ruins, did not get up for a long time...

"Cough cough cough~ Pfft! Cough cough cough~ What a pity!" The light in Nien's eyes dimmed slightly as he stared at the battle axe in his hand, the already chipped axe just now stuck on the Flame Demon's spine!

"So close...so close...sigh...let's go...children...never come back until we can defeat the Balrog..." Leaning against the ruins, Nien stared at the wailing, dying Balrog and sighed a few times. Although the Balrog was seriously injured, as long as it did not die on the spot, it could still recover. It was just a fatal wound!

"Alas... Kazadokum, how can I save you..." Feeling his strength rapidly draining away, Nien gave a bitter smile. He struggled to support himself against the collapsed pillars, and as he watched the Balrog retreat into the abyss, Nien, the last king of Kazadokum, shed a few tears.

"No... Let it end like this... My descendants of Turin, I've done my best... I can't fight anymore!" The powerless Nein finally collapsed to his knees amidst the ruins.

"The Fire of Udon? In the name of King Nien I of the Dwarves, I declare that I shall guard this place! The Dwarven capital ahead! No evil shall pass!" Nien roared, straining to stay upright, at the Balrog that was about to disappear off the cliff.

"You! You will never set foot in the dwarven capital! I will suppress you for eternity! When you attempt to set foot here, your wounds will sear your heart!" Nien's voice was powerful and passionate, but his body slowly began to petrify. This was the earth's backlash against him; excessively overdrawing his body, burning his life force to absorb the earth's power, would ultimately cause him to merge with the earth...

"May you be safe..." Nien smiled at the last moment, a peaceful smile...

From then on, a solitary stone statue stood amidst the ruins of the Fourth Hall, steadfastly guarding the Massabul Hall behind it and suppressing the footsteps of the Balrog...

……

“The Balrog is down there…” Roland pulled himself out of his memories of the past and stared at the cliff outside the plaza with a grim expression.

These chapters pay homage to the two dwarven kings who once guarded Kael'thas (Moria), leading their people against the invasion of evil spirits and ultimately sacrificing their lives to protect their homeland...
