The Lord of the Rings: Lords of Middle-earth.
Chapter 1 Arrival in Middle-earth
Chapter 1 Arrival in Middle-earth
"What the hell is this place?" Roland was playing "The Lord of the Rings" on his computer when a sudden flash transported him to this godforsaken place.
"Chirp chirp chirp!" A piercing scream rang out, startling Roland, who quickly turned around and looked around. But when Roland looked down, he was stunned. He was wearing the Lord's Adamantite Armor from Lord of the Rings, with the epic weapon Dragonslayer at his waist and an Adamantite Tower Shield on his back...
"Holy crap! Isn't this equipment from Lord of the Rings?" Roland's brain went blank as he looked at the unfamiliar equipment covering his body.
"Have I traveled to Middle-earth from Lord of the Rings?" Roland wondered.
As a result, Roland was devastated to discover that if it was Middle-earth from the movie Lord of the Rings, it would be alright, but what if it was the Lord of the Rings from the computer game... Roland said he might as well dig a hole and lie down in it now.
The Lord of the Rings is a game heavily modified from the movies The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. It added elements like battle auras and magic, and changed the map of Middle-earth and the distribution of power. Except for some main characters, almost everything else was completely changed. Roland was really worried...
"Chirp chirp chirp!" Several short, green-skinned goblins jumped out of the bushes, wielding bone clubs, iron picks, or whatever could be considered weapons.
"Holy crap! It's definitely the Lord of the Rings." Roland immediately recognized it as the most easily identifiable Goblin of the Wasteland from The Lord of the Rings.
"Clang!" Roland drew the Dragon Slayer Sword from his waist and took the shield from behind him to block in front of him.
The goblins charged forward with howls, their weak arms flailing feebly as they pounded the adamantite shield with their inferior weapons.
"Ha!" Roland roared, and a golden streak flashed, instantly tearing several goblins to pieces.
"As expected..." Roland felt the surging battle aura within his body. He should be at the level of a Grand Knight, undoubtedly in the Lord of the Rings world.
Extraordinary power levels are divided into: Apprentice Knight, Knight, Grand Knight, Knight Commander, and Knight General. All other extraordinary professions are also divided into 5 levels.
Suppressing his stomach discomfort, Roland turned his head away from the goblin lying in pieces on the ground, sheathed his sword, and had to admit that the Dragon Slayer Sword was truly a fine sword; not a drop of blood would stick to it, and it was exceptionally sharp...
"A small test of skill: Completed. Reward: 1 fully armed Shire warhorse. Stored in the Ring space." Roland's ring suddenly heated up, and a screen of light appeared before his eyes.
"The Lord of the Rings System? Holy crap! This thing came with us? We're rich!" Roland exclaimed excitedly. With this thing, he could easily establish his own kingdom and become a lord with all the rewards. After all, Middle-earth is vast, and most places are deserted. Back in the game, countless players established territories in the wastelands and became powerful lords.
Having figured out how to use it, Roland took out a fully armed Sharma from the ring. After all, cavalry had an advantage over infantry in the wasteland, and could a knight without a warhorse be called a knight?
"Good heavens! It's really fully armed..." Roland said helplessly, looking at the Sharma with three layers of armor. This thing should be used by heavy cavalry. Looking at the steel chainmail that extends to the horse's calves, Roland suspected that if it weren't for the Sharma's super load-bearing capacity, other warhorses would probably break down after running a few kilometers.
"Alright, but we're not afraid of small groups of orcs anymore!" Roland cheered himself up. After all, orcs also have a survival instinct. Who would bother to rob a fully armed great knight if they had nothing better to do?
"The Ring, the Ring, tell me what to do next?" Roland tried to ask the Ring.
"..."
"Well, it seems the purpose of this magic ring is to provide achievement rewards... It must only give rewards when you do something and meet the reward criteria," Roland muttered to himself.
"So now I should find a place to stay... After all, it's getting dark, maybe I should find some food, and I should set off tomorrow to look for towns and villages. Heaven knows where I am right now..." Roland said helplessly, covering his head.
After collecting some dry branches along the way, Roland rode aimlessly, hoping that a few ignorant orcs would run out to keep him occupied.
"This will do." Roland looked at the several intersecting stone slabs in front of him, which formed a small stone cave of about ten square meters. Roland decided to spend the night here.
"So... how do I start a fire?" Roland suddenly froze. "Damn! I should have watched more survival shows..." Roland said bitterly, looking at the pile of dry wood in front of him.
"How about we try starting a fire by rubbing sticks together?"
"Holy crap... nothing's happening."
"Oh! It's smoking!"
"Damn it! My hand!"
"Get lost! Go to hell!"
Roland was completely devastated. Looking at the gradually darkening wasteland, he was utterly frustrated.
"No! We have to get a fire going! The wasteland at night is no friendly place," Roland encouraged himself.
Finally, just before it got completely dark, a small pile of sparks illuminated Roland's face. Despite his cramping hands, Roland carefully placed the tinder into the fine pile of dry twigs.
"Ah! Praise be to the light!" Roland exclaimed, gesturing wildly as he looked at the fire.
"First fire: Completed. Reward: 100 loaves of bread, 100 bottles of water. Already sent to the Lord of the Rings."
"Oh? A reward! Now we won't have to worry about food and drink." Roland laughed.
The long loaf of bread is the kind that is half a meter long and about the width of a hand, while the water comes in bags, each bag containing about a liter.
Roland placed the bread on the fire to toast, took out a water pouch and drank a few mouthfuls. Once the bread was golden brown and smelled of wheat, Roland took it off the fire and chewed it heartily.
After leading the horse into the cave, Roland began to remove its armor by the firelight, praising the high quality of the system's products as he did so. The firelight revealed the armor's finely intricate chain links and its lightweight construction, clearly crafted from superior alloy steel. He casually stored the armor in his system space, leaned his shield against his side, drew his Dragon Slayer sword, and lay back against his warhorse. Gazing at the bright starry sky, a wave of loneliness washed over him.
"Hehe, goodnight, my first night in Middle-earth!" Roland muttered to himself.
Outside the cave, the fire flickered gently in the evening breeze. What Roland didn't know was that the firelight could not only scare away wild beasts, but also attract uninvited guests.
"Puff puff!" The Shire warhorse snorted uneasily.
Roland, who was already a light sleeper, was awakened by the noise. He rolled over, rested his shield on his left shoulder, and drew his longsword with his right hand, watching the cave entrance warily.
"Oh! Shit! Fuck! Bitch!" Roland had a million words to express his feelings at that moment.
"Damn it! It's a damn earth dragon!" Roland wailed.
