Chapter 47 Year-end Dinner

Happy times are always so short, and a week of revelry seems to have passed in the blink of an eye.
Not long after Mike returned to the dormitory, the three saviors were rescued one by one. Ron and Hermione were not seriously injured and soon appeared in front of everyone alive and well.
Everyone gathered around the two and asked about what happened last night. Hermione was very shy and kept her head down with a red face, while Ron was very excited and told everyone what they saw and heard under the trapdoor with a red face.
Compared to the two of them, Harry was in a much worse situation. He stayed in the infirmary for three days before waking up. Mike and Franklin went to visit Harry as soon as he woke up. During the conversation, Harry apologized to Mike for not bringing him along on the Sorcerer's Stone adventure because they couldn't find Mike at the time.
Mike felt a headache when talking about Franklin. Franklin had become autistic after what happened that day. Mike was very optimistic about this young man, so he could only comfort him. Franklin recovered only after Mike promised to give him extra lessons during the summer vacation.
Finally, after such a busy week, Mike had his first year-end dinner at Hogwarts.
Because he had to help decorate the auditorium, Mike followed Professor Flitwick to the auditorium early.
Under the guidance of Professor Flitwick, the young eagles hung banners with Ravenclaw's Eagle of Wisdom printed on them on the walls of the hall, and all the tablecloths were changed to blue. Their current school score was the highest, which meant that this year's school cup belonged to them.
The hall became a blue ocean due to the efforts of the little eagles. Professor Flitwick laughed so hard that his eyes almost disappeared. Slytherin had won the House Cup for six consecutive years, and Ravenclaw had been the runner-up for six years. He thought it would be the same this year, but he didn't expect Mike to show his prowess and directly push Ravenclaw to the first place. After that, he looked for Mike in the crowd. Such a good kid should be rewarded.
Mike didn't smile like everyone else, he knew that this year's house cup had already been decided for Gryffindor, no matter how many points they were ahead of Gryffindor, Dumbledore would give it to Gryffindor tonight.
Professor Flitwick saw that Mike looked depressed and thought it was because the holiday was coming and Mike would become homeless again. Thinking of this, Professor Flitwick's eyes could not help but show a hint of tenderness.
"Mike, why are you staying here alone?" Flitwick patted Mike's arm, "Don't be unhappy, you are our great hero today."
I'm afraid you won't be happy anytime soon, Mike thought to himself, forcing a faint smile on his face.
Professor Flitwick was more certain of his guess when he saw this, and he said softly, "Don't worry about the holidays. If you don't mind, you can stay at my house. I have a few old friends to introduce to you."
Mike felt a little strange, but kept a straight face.
"This... isn't a good idea. It might be too much trouble for you." Mike wanted to refuse. He had already promised Franklin to take him to tutoring classes during the summer vacation.
"You don't have to be polite to me. It's decided!" Professor Flitwick clapped his hands. "Don't rush to leave tomorrow. I will take you to my house after I finish dealing with the affairs in the academy."
Mike could only agree with a wry smile, and at the same time observed three seconds of silence for poor Franklin.
Just as Mike and Professor Flitwick were having a great conversation, students came to the auditorium one after another and soon filled it up.
Seeing that the dinner was about to begin, Flitwick called the students back to their respective tables and then returned to his seat.
Mike saw Draco in the crowd. Draco didn't look very good at this moment. His originally slicked-back hair became a little messy, and he walked with a limp, as if he had just been beaten.
Not only him, but all the Slytherin students looked unhappy, as if everyone present owed them a million dollars. Mike understood their feelings very well. Slytherin's legendary record of winning the House Cup for six consecutive years was broken in their hands. They would definitely become a shame for Slytherin.
In sharp contrast to them are Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, one of which is the biggest winner of this school year, while the other is satisfied as long as they see Slytherin in trouble.
The Slytherin students were furious when they saw the Gryffindor people gloating over their misfortune. Losing to Ravenclaw was one thing, after all, it was because of their lack of skills. But Gryffindor was ranked third. What qualifications did you, a defeated opponent, have to be so arrogant?
So the people from the two colleges started scolding each other. In terms of eloquence, the little snakes were obviously no match for the little lions, especially the Weasley brothers and Lee Jordan. These three of them were able to scold the entire third year of Slytherin speechless.
Just as the quarrel was about to escalate into a fight, Dumbledore finally arrived. As Dumbledore waved his wand, a violent explosion echoed in the hall.
The noise attracted the attention of the people in the audience. When they saw that it was Dumbledore, they hurried back to their seats and sat down quietly.
Dumbledore looked at the audience who had returned to silence, nodded with satisfaction, and began his speech.
As Mike expected, as Dumbledore announced again and again that he would give extra points to the Savior Trio, Gryffindor's score went directly from third place to tied for first place with Ravenclaw.
This is not the end yet. After Neville added ten points, Gryffindor surpassed Ravenclaw and became the first.
"It looks like the decoration here needs to be changed tonight."
With the wave of Dumbledore's wand, the blue hall that the eagles had been busy decorating for an entire afternoon instantly turned into the golden red color representing Gryffindor.
The little lions of Gryffindor exploded. They cheered and came to the three saviors, lifted them up high and put them down, shouting the names of the three.
All the little eagles are shut in.
Abbott, the male student president sitting next to Mike, clenched his fists and didn't even notice that his nails had pierced his palm. Drops of blood continued to drip onto the table, being absorbed by the golden-red tablecloth and disappearing.
The eaglets found this meal extremely uncomfortable to eat. The usually delicious and tempting food now tasted like wax in their mouths.
Professor Flitwick on the stage also looked unhappy and left shortly after the banquet began.
Mike couldn't eat anymore. He was surrounded by unhappy little wizards who had no appetite. It was obviously inappropriate for him to eat alone at this time. Seeing Professor Flitwick walk out of the hall, Mike also stood up and left.
Mike's departure was like a signal, and the Ravenclaw eagles stood up one by one and followed Mike out of the hall.
The little Slytherin snakes were delighted when they saw this, and, led by the class leaders, they left the hall one after another.
The originally bustling auditorium was now filled with only the little lion who was still partying and the little badger who was busy eating. Dumbledore's smile on the stage was slowly becoming stiff.
