Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones
Chapter 99 The Weasleys
Chapter 99 The Weasley Family
After Tierra returned to the Leaky Cauldron, she laid out "The Heirs" on the table, like a studious child reading an extracurricular book.
Tom, the kind old man who owns the Leaky Cauldron, even brought Tierra a glass of pumpkin juice.
“It’s on my behalf.” Old Tom smiled kindly. “Hannah told me about you. Your name is Tyella, right? The smartest kid in your grade.”
“Yes, hello Mr. Abbott, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” Tierra silently closed the “Heir” book that was spread out on the table, and stood up politely but slightly reservedly to shake hands with the owner of the Leaky Cauldron.
"Hehe, don't be nervous." Tom Abbott chuckled and patted Tierra on the shoulder before going to attend to the growing number of customers in the bar.
Tiera sighed and reopened the book, "The Inheritor."
Tom Abbott will never know that this is a book of dark magic made from human skin.
He will never know that those few pages in this book represent the entire life of a wizard—
Just as Tierra guessed, the wizards devoured by the "Inheritors" were all dark wizards.
It seems that the concentration of dark wizards in Knockturn Alley has suddenly increased significantly; Tyella hit three people with a single book she threw.
Arya Dawster, a Slytherin dropout, was expelled from school in her sixth year for using a love potion that caused someone to become mentally impaired. After being expelled, she was unable to enter the Ministry of Magic due to her bad behavior at school and was not competitive in Diagon Alley. After several twists and turns, she could only go back to her old profession in Knockturn Alley—selling love potions.
But instead of selling them to wizards, they're sold to Muggles, who are then taken to Diagon Alley and sold to dark wizards—
Many dark wizards are willing to pay a high price for a handsome Muggle boy or a beautiful Muggle girl, even if they are poisoned and become somewhat mentally impaired, it does not diminish their value in the slightest.
After all, for most dark wizards, they don't actually want to have a romantic relationship with Muggles. Most of them buy them to vent their desires, which have become increasingly twisted due to their study of dark magic.
Dark magic has always been a rugged and dangerous path. Geniuses like Grindelwald and Voldemort are extremely rare, and even Death Eaters like Malfoy and Bellatrix are few and far between among the vast number of dark wizards.
Most dark wizards—
Most black wizards from humble backgrounds lack the extraordinary talent of Grindelwald or Voldemort, nor do they have the family traditions of the Malfoy, Rustrange, or Black families. Coupled with the attitude of the British magical community towards black magic, they often lack mentors and friends to help them on their path.
Many wizards, in the process of studying black magic, have used some ancient rituals or completely unreliable spells that they have somehow come up with.
Wizards who used these spells and rituals may have gone mad or died, but even those who survived suffered extremely serious aftereffects.
The remaining two male wizards, Cohenburnt and Claudecles, are such dark wizards.
Their purpose in meeting with Aria Dawster today was to reserve two young, beautiful girls who had been drugged and rendered mentally impaired.
As a result, the deal was barely finalized when it ended up in the belly of the "inheritor".
Tierra closed "The Inheritor" with a hint of helplessness, and sighed softly. No wonder the Ministry of Magic was going to introduce a Muggle protection law.
In her previous life, Tyella first learned about Muggle protection laws through an incident involving Dumbledore's sister and father.
He was still somewhat indignant at the time, wondering why three Muggle children had bullied Ariana into becoming Obscurials. As a result, Dumbledore's father, Percival Dumbledore, only disciplined the three Muggle boys before being imprisoned in Azkaban and dying in despair.
Tierra found this part of the story very strange.
The wizarding world has the Oblivion Curse, so if you just cast an Oblivion Curse after teaching those three boys a lesson, wouldn't it be a secret known only to heaven, earth, you, and me?
From the perspective of the Secret Code, there was absolutely no need to imprison Dumbledore's father in Azkaban. But now, after reading about the lives of these three men, Tyrell understood the true meaning of the Muggle Protection Act—
Dumbledore's father used magic against the three Muggle boys out of malice, thus violating the Muggle Protection Act.
Because the Aurors of the Ministry of Magic could not determine whether Dumbledore's father had truly done what he claimed—cast a retaliatory spell on the three Muggle boys for the sake of his daughter.
Or perhaps it was for some kind of black magic experiment.
The Aurors wouldn't dare gamble on whether Percival Dumbledore was actually a dark wizard.
Cases like Dumbledore's father are rare; more often, people like these three who were devoured by the "Inheritors" today harbor the most fundamental malice towards Muggles.
That's why Ron's great-aunt Muriel said at the wedding at the beginning of the seventh book that Percival Dumbledore killing three Muggles was a major scandal at the time.
The scandal doesn't refer to Percival Dumbledore's attack on the three Muggles, but rather to the speculation that this might lead to—
Rumors circulated that Percival Dumbledore might be a dark wizard, and along with them, that Ariana Dumbledore was a Squib and imprisoned by her family.
It's important to understand that the wizarding community in Britain is relatively small – any slight disturbance, or even the most trivial gossip, can be blown out of proportion into a major news story that "shocks" the entire wizarding world.
Tierra looked up at the grandfather clock sitting next to the bar—
10:25
Hagrid had arranged to meet him at the Leaky Cauldron around 11:15.
Before that, Hagrid would ride his little motorcycle into Knockturn Alley from the west entrance to buy medicine to get rid of the slugs.
But through a brief exchange of glances, Tiera learned that Hagrid actually wanted to go to a place called Magus Insect Shop in Knockturn Alley to see if they had any new magical creatures.
Just then, a green light ignited in the Fireworks of the Leaky Cauldron.
A twelve-year-old boy with a dusty face and fiery red hair walked out of the fireplace, brushing the dust off his clothes.
When he saw Tierra, he was first stunned, then exclaimed in surprise:
"carry--"
Before the boy could finish shouting, another burst of green flames erupted from the Flying Furnace Net, and a somewhat short and plump middle-aged woman stepped out.
"Oh no!" A middle-aged woman in a pale yellow dress and with tousled hair stepped out of the fireplace, her loud voice echoing through the Leaky Cauldron. "Where's Harry? Isn't Harry here?"
“Don’t worry, Molly.” Following closely behind the middle-aged woman was a tall man with a balding head and equally fiery red hair.
After him emerged from the Flying Furnace Network were two identical twins: a somewhat shy little girl and a tall boy who looked rather aloof.
Hey! Tierra, the two twins—
George Weasley and Fred Weasley ran over to greet Thiella.
"Tierra! Have you seen Harry?" Ron followed immediately. He had just learned from his mother that Harry was missing and rushed over.
Thank you, Korsi, for the 100 coins.
