Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones
Chapter 792
Chapter 792
As soon as Hermione finished speaking, cheerful music started playing, accompanied by leaping flames, and a phantom suspended stage appeared in the center of the hall, instantly turning the already sparsely populated hall into a lively place.
Everyone looked up and saw a group of tiny elves, dressed in colorful leaf costumes and no bigger than the palm of a hand, jumping out and fluttering their transparent, cicada-wing-like wings. They were flying around in the auditorium, playing various musical instruments and making cheerful music.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione were stunned by the sudden performance, especially Hermione, whose thoughts seemed to have been abruptly interrupted. She held her breath and watched the elves' performance.
The elves' dance was energetic and magical, and the cheerful music filled the entire auditorium with a festive atmosphere.
Not only that, the fairies began a magic show, with flames of different colors dancing in the air and transforming into various shapes. A chorus of exclamations of amazement filled the hall.
Hermione was completely captivated by the visual spectacle, her eyes sparkling as she watched the elves perform.
Finally, the performance ended, and all the little sprites bowed to the students in the auditorium before returning to the stage that was suspended above the auditorium. Then, just as they had appeared suddenly, all the little sprites and the suspended stage vanished instantly.
“Wow!” Ron exclaimed. “I heard Neville say that there would be amazing fireworks and illusion shows after dinner tonight. I thought we’d already missed it.”
"Looks like we're in luck!" Harry said with a grin.
"Maybe it wasn't just good luck," Hermione thought, recalling the little fairies made of fireworks and illusions.
“So, boys, tell me what you encountered in New Hogsmeade and New Tenham?” Hermione’s voice suddenly became cheerful and light.
“That was so much fun!” Ron exclaimed excitedly. “You know what? Fred and George were also at the Cheerful Magic Prank Shop in New Tenham Village!”
Ron and Harry chattered on, each contributing a sentence, describing everything about New Tenham to Hermione. Hermione listened attentively while leisurely eating the steak and vegetables on her plate.
As night deepened, they emerged from the Great Hall, having eaten and drunk their fill. However, instead of returning directly to their dormitories, they left through the back door of Hogwarts and strolled on the lawn behind the castle.
The moonlight spilled onto the earth, illuminating a fairytale-like scene.
Hermione walked quietly between Harry and Ron, feeling their tacit companionship and warm atmosphere.
“It’s officially the holidays now, Hermione, you really should get some rest,” Harry suggested.
“Yeah, I think it’s time to relax too,” Ron agreed, then added in a muffled, comical voice, “Hey, silly girl, put down your books, embrace the sunshine, embrace the stars and the rain.”
Ron hummed a nursery rhyme softly.
"Um, sorry, this is a song I heard at a Muggle store today. I thought it was really good, so..." Ron said, blushing and scratching his head.
"It's alright, it sounds beautiful, thank you, Ron." Hermione chuckled softly, then suddenly looked up at the summer night sky with a quiet gaze.
