Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones

Chapter 697 "Little Master"

Chapter 697 "Little Master"

The match against Hefpatch was almost a foregone conclusion.

Gryffindor conceded a few goals at the beginning.

But after seeing McLean's gloating and greasy expression on the bench, Ron stood like an iron wall in front of the goal, and not a single ball slipped through until Harry caught the Golden Snitch and the referee announced the end of the game.

This left McLean somewhat disappointed and annoyed.

But McLean patiently gritted his teeth and went up to congratulate Ron—

Just like the other players did.

Almost every Gryffindor student was delighted, almost all of them—

Except for Ron.

Harry saw Ron nervously pull Lavender Brown to a secluded corner. Harry swore that when Ron spoke to Lavender Brown, Lavender Brown's face was filled with an expression of shyness, happiness, and anticipation.

But when Harry heard a few extremely loud and shrill noises, Lavender Brown's expression changed to one of shock, anger, and heartbreak as he ran out from the corner.

“It’s good to be young,” a voice suddenly whispered in Harry’s ear. “You can feel the sting of love.”

"Oh! Tyella!" Harry was startled, but he calmed down when he saw Tyella standing next to him. "When did you appear? You startled me."

“Just arrived,” Tierra said with a smile. “Congratulations, Harry, you’re one step closer to this year’s House Cup.”

“Oh, thank you,” Harry said, somewhat delighted and confused. “What’s wrong?” Tyella asked curiously.

"Oh no, no, it's nothing. It just feels a bit strange. You were so busy the other day that you didn't even have time to talk to me privately, but now you suddenly show up here to congratulate me on my Quidditch victory," Harry said awkwardly.

“Even when I’m busy, I can still find time to congratulate you, right?” Tiera asked gently. “Besides, I’m almost done with my work. Professor Horace Slughorn’s Philosopher’s Stone is almost finished. There’s only a little bit of finishing work left, and he doesn’t need so much of Tiera’s involvement anymore. He’s fully confident that he can complete it himself.”

"So you'll have a lot of free time from now on?" Harry asked in surprise.

“I suppose so, but,” Tyella paused, then said hesitantly, “Voldemort is a bit restless right now. I have intelligence that he seems to be preparing to run for president of the International Magical Association this year, and based on his various actions, I have reason to believe that he is also preparing for his ascension ceremony.”

"A godhood ritual?!" Harry was even more shocked. "He, he, he also, also..."

“Who wouldn’t want that? Eternal life, near-infinite power—it’s the most perfect form of immortality. Who wouldn’t want that? Especially a wizard like him who is terrified of death,” Tiera said calmly.

"Then, then we have to, we have to stop him!" Harry said anxiously.

“I have to stop him,” Tiera said with a faint smile, as if looking at an immature child. “You just need to study hard, train hard, and enjoy your school life. These things are my business.”

“I’m the same age as you!” Harry said, somewhat sullenly. “I’m capable of protecting myself too.”

"Great, then take care of yourself and don't wander around." Tierra patted Harry's head, then smiled and disappeared. "I'm off now, my little adult, I have class tomorrow."
