Chapter 397 Overthrow
“I’m sorry, Professor, please allow me to decline.” Tierra put the offer letter back into the envelope and pushed it back.

"Why?" Dumbledore asked, puzzled, seemingly unable to comprehend Tyella's decision. "Why did you refuse?"

“Bad luck,” Tierra said. “And there’s no need for it.”

"Why?" Dumbledore asked, puzzled. "Why isn't it necessary? You want to change the world, you want a revolution... I understand all of that—"

“Because it’s useless.” Tierra interrupted Dumbledore’s question and said directly, “I know what you’re thinking. Defence Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts is the most important of all the courses because it is the only way that most wizards can come into contact with and experience the Dark Arts under the current laws of the British wizarding world.”

“Or to put it more bluntly, the Defense Against the Dark Arts course controls the entire British magical community’s understanding of the Dark Arts, and even the entire magical system,” Tierra said. “In other words, a capable Defense Against the Dark Arts professor can easily influence the ideology of generations.”

Tierra paused, then continued, "I think it was from this position, through these means, that you transformed the pure-blood theory, which had prevailed for hundreds or thousands of years, into terrorism, right?"

"Yes." Dumbledore nodded silently.

"Excuse my bluntness, Headmaster Dumbledore, but this method is outdated," Tierra said with a smile. "You think the root cause of the disunity and turmoil in the wizarding world is the evil in people's hearts, but that's not the case. The root cause is the lack of a strong and authoritative Ministry of Magic, the lack of a highly unified and advanced ideological program, and only then comes the intricate entanglement of interests."

“You know perfectly well how tedious and exhausting it is to maintain the so-called glory of purebloods,” Tiera said, pursing her lips. “You know better than anyone else, and the heirs of those pureblood families know it too. They were young once too, they went through puberty too. Who wouldn’t want to date whomever they want? Who doesn’t like freedom?”

"But compared to freedom, they probably prefer interests, power, and a life of luxury and extravagance. So most of them chose to compromise, bowing down to their families and, more importantly, to the huge interest groups behind them."

"So do you really think it's enough to just label a pure-blood theory from over a thousand years ago as terrorism?" Tiera said with a smile. "Right now, it's only because you, the most powerful white wizard in history, are still alive. Once you die, what will be able to keep them in check? After all, even the Ministry of Magic is their dog now. To be honest, the position of a mere Defense Against the Dark Arts professor is really too insignificant."

"So what do you want to do?" Dumbledore asked. "Head of the Aurors? Head of the Department of Law Enforcement? Or Minister of Magic?"

“No.” Tyella shook her head. “It’s no use. The wizarding world is weak, and it’s already beyond repair. Look at you all. On the surface, everything seems peaceful and prosperous, but in reality, you’re a filthy and weak mess. Otherwise, Voldemort, a mere village-level terrorist, could have paralyzed your Ministry of Magic and brought down the entire wizarding world. The wizarding world is rotten to the core. This is unimaginable in any other country, in any Muggle country.”

“You mean,” Dumbledore said with difficulty, “that you want to incite a riot?”

“I think it should be called a revolution,” Tierra said.

“That would kill a lot of people,” Dumbledore said incredulously. “That would kill a lot of people.”

"Then when the next Dark Lord rises, even more people will die. Our wizarding world won't even live to see the day we clash with Muggles. We'll be worn down by wave after wave of internal strife and reduced to scattered tribes. And before long, the wizarding world will gradually disappear—" Tiera said sarcastically. "Do you think I'm hosting a dinner party? Do you think I'm writing a final paper? Do you think I'm painting? Do you think I'm teaching? Do you think I should be refined and courteous?"

“This is treason!” Dumbledore said. “We should have used a more moderate approach.”

“A gentler approach?” Tiera raised an eyebrow and said—

“Very well, Professor Dumbledore, let me give you an example,” Tyella said. “If I told you now that I could summon ten meteorites in an hour and raze Hogwarts to the ground.”

Dumbledore's eyebrows twitched nervously.

"So, would you choose to gather all the teachers and students and run away as far as possible, or would you choose to have all the teachers and students stay behind and work together to form a protective shield to withstand the meteorite?" "It's not the same," Dumbledore said.

“Alright, then I’ll give you the same idea.” Tierra raised an eyebrow and said, “If, in the second year, our organization hadn’t controlled Slytherin, and we hadn’t controlled the Basilisk, and the Basilisk, under the influence of Tom Riddle’s diary, started slaughtering Muggle students in the castle, would you insist on continuing Hogwarts, or would you close Hogwarts down and wait until the dangers inside the castle are cleared before enrolling students again?”

“I would choose to close Hogwarts first,” Dumbledore said silently.

“That’s it,” Tyella said. “Don’t you see? Hogwarts is like the Ministry of Magic today, and Tom Riddle’s diary and the basilisk are like the entangled interest groups within the Ministry of Magic.”

“What I mean is, let’s overthrow the Ministry of Magic first, expose the vested interests within it, and then rebuild a completely new Ministry of Magic,” Tierra said. “Is that so hard to understand—”

“Let’s start afresh, clean the house thoroughly, and then invite guests. Let’s all be on the same side,” Tiera said. “We must firmly stand on the side of the vast number of intelligent beings in the magical world, resolutely oppose the backward, conservative, and evil ideas of the old era, and resolutely eradicate the dark forces entangled with the old Ministry of Magic.”

“All of this can be achieved in a gentler way,” Dumbledore argued.

“You may not have heard me correctly,” Tierra said. “I said ‘eradicate’.”

"What I mean is that while I am clearing away obstacles, I also need to establish an advanced, reasonable, and positive ethical system and a powerful Ministry of Magic that can ensure that policies are implemented and reach every wizard."

"It sounds like the wizarding society that the third Dark Lord is going to build," Dumbledore said sarcastically.

“Headmaster Dumbledore, I don’t deny that you are a great wizard,” Tyella said, “but even if you are so great, I doubt you know much about the history of Muggles, do you?”

“You’re mistaken,” Dumbledore said. “When I was young, even after we had fallen out, Gellert would send me books he bought in Muggle bookstores during his travels in Europe, mostly history books, so I know a lot about the history of Europe—”

“I’m talking about human history,” Tiera interrupted with a sneer. “I’m talking about human history, not the history of white monkeys.”

"Have you read Chinese history? Have you read the history of my motherland? Especially the modern history of the last hundred years?" Tierra stared intently at Dumbledore, her eyes seeming to radiate light, making Dumbledore feel a little stinged by her gaze.

“Read it, Professor Dumbledore, stop being a frog in a well,” Tyella said. “I’m tired of using the word ‘revolution’.”

“What do you mean?” Dumbledore said.

“I’m tired of bearing the title of the third Dark Lord,” Tyella said, then stood up and looked at Dumbledore. “I want to be the rightful Headmaster of Hogwarts.”

"Reform and revolution must start from childhood! I want to overthrow the current corrupt and outdated education system at Hogwarts and establish a brand new, more modern, and progressive education system!"
