Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones

Chapter 353 Moses Parted the Sea

Chapter 353 Moses Parted the Sea
"Tiera? Why are you still on the shore?" A centenarian and a ninety-year-old man behind him pushed through the crowd and came to the diving platform for the Black Lake competition.

"Dumbledore, dumbledore, dumbledore?!" Tyella sensed something was wrong when she heard the voice, and when she turned around, she saw—

It really is that damned Dumbledore.

“Headmaster Dumbledore, what are you doing here?” Tyrell asked in surprise.

"Otherwise, where should I be?" Dumbledore asked with a smile, stroking his beard.

Tyrell looked back at the Black Lake, then at Dumbledore—

"Isn't you the hostage I'm holding at the bottom of the lake?"

“No,” Dumbledore said with a smile. “While I’m glad you think that way, unfortunately, I’m the referee, not a hostage.”

“I’m sorry I’m late and gave you that impression.” Dumbledore seemed to see through Tyrell’s thoughts, and stroked his beard as he added, “Mr. Scamander and I had a slight disagreement, so I’m a little late.”

Newt Scamander, following behind Dumbledore, pouted angrily.

“Then who is my hostage?” Tierra asked.

“If I remember correctly… it should be Miss Lunalovegood,” Dumbledore said, “your first dance partner at the ball.”

Tierra jumped up abruptly, so fast that he knocked over the stool he had summoned with a summoning spell.

Tierra, with a solemn expression, strode to the water's edge and gazed at the center of the Black Lake in the distance.

As she walked, Tiera tossed her wand in her hand—

The wand expanded in mid-air, and the "Mad Walker" reverted to his original form—

That grotesque staff with a human head.

Tiera stood at the edge of the ski jump deck, gripped the "Mad Walker" in one hand, raised it high, and then slammed it heavily onto the wooden deck with a dull "thud."

After that, Tiera raised "The Mad Walker" again and slammed it down heavily once more—

"Boom-"

"Boom-"

"Boom-"

"Boom-"

……

Tiera thrust faster and harder.

Soon, a deep, resonant "thump-thump" sound, like war drums, began to echo throughout the arena, forming a strange, beautiful, and captivating melody.

Suddenly, Tiera stopped, then lifted the "Mad Walker" high into the air and shouted—

"Ra-Leyeh"

The previously noisy arena suddenly fell silent, the clamor of discussion interrupted by a deep voice echoing from the depths of the lake.

An absurd, fearful, and inexplicably oppressive atmosphere spread throughout the arena.

The once clear sky was instantly filled with bright red clouds, like burning flames, casting a huge shadow over the entire Black Lake.

The dark clouds collided with each other, bringing lightning and thunder.

The gentle breeze that once swept across the lake was replaced by countless fierce gusts of wind, roaring through the air like a multitude of evil dragons, their chilling howls filling everyone's ears.

The surface of the Black Lake began to churn violently, creating huge waves, and then—

"Rumble--"

As if an earthquake had struck the bottom of Black Lake, a deafening sound rang out from the lakebed.

The waves surged higher and higher on Black Lake, like a gigantic fountain. Gradually, they transformed into towering buildings made of giant waves. Countless waves crowded and roared within the lake, one higher than the next, merging and devouring each other.

The entire Black Lake seemed to be facing the end of the world. Tiera swung the "Mad Walker," which she had been holding aloft, downwards, its tip pointing directly at the Black Lake—

The countless giant waves in the Black Lake were no longer chaotic. As if they had received some kind of instruction, they fled wildly to both sides, using the point pointed out by the "Crazy Walker" as the boundary.

The waters of Black Lake gather in heaps, with countless giant waves standing upright on both sides of the lake, while the water in the middle of the lake seems to have been frozen into two water walls.

A wide avenue, wide enough for three carriages to travel side by side, was formed where the "madman" of Tiera pointed.

The wide road stretches all the way to the center of Black Lake, where there is a ruin-like city.

The city was dilapidated, filled with ruins and broken walls, ancient buildings accumulated over countless years.

In the center of the city were young wizards with their feet bound by ropes, including Luna Lovegood, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and a little girl whom Tyella didn't recognize.

As the lake water was drained and buoyancy disappeared, the hostages fell from mid-air onto the stone platform, surrounded by mermaids struggling and jumping on the land like dead fish.

There was also a gigantic, horse-shaped water beast covered in countless broad-leaved cattails, wriggling its massive body rhythmically.

I wanted to hide inside the water wall next to me.

"This is outrageous!" Newtscamander roared, a surge of anger rising within him as he witnessed the tragic state of the horse-like water beasts and mermaids. "This is utterly reckless! It's destroying the ecosystem!"

But soon gasps of surprise erupted from the audience, followed by a burst of enthusiastic applause, a cacophony of chatter that drowned out Newt Scamander's complaints.
Even the professors and referees at Hogwarts were speechless with astonishment.

The warriors, who had already swum halfway across the lake, were just thrown off their feet by a giant wave and were only now realizing what had happened, looking in shock at the wall of water beyond.

But Tierra's actions did not end there.

Tierra twirled the "Mad Walker" in her hand, slammed it onto the deck again, and then shouted—

"The stars are right, rise!"

"Rumble--"

A sound even more deafening than before came again.

This time, however, everyone felt as if the earth was shaking.

"Rumble--"

The deafening sound continued, and those with sharp eyes quickly noticed that the ruins at the end of the road carved out by the water wall were slowly rising.

They rose higher and higher until the road was level with the platform where Tierra was.

Tiera waved towards the ruins.

The ruins began to move again, along with the rock pillars supporting them, rapidly moving towards Tiera.

And it came to a steady stop in front of Tierra's jump.

Only then did the hostages begin to regain their senses, but they were still completely bewildered by what had just happened, their faces blank with confusion.

Clearly, what had just happened was far beyond their comprehension.

Tiera jumped from the platform onto the ruins and walked toward Lunalovgood.

"Torn apart!" Tiera waved the Mad Walker as she walked—

The ropes binding the feet of all four hostages broke.

“Let’s go, Miss Lovegood.” Tierra stopped in front of Luna, bowed slightly, and extended one hand to Luna. “It’s so cold today, I’ve already prepared hot tea and desserts for you on the shore.”
