Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones
Chapter 306 A Sad Morning
Chapter 306 A Sad Morning
That night, Tyella and the other Gryffindors played around until very late. When Tyella returned to her dormitory, Harry and the others were already asleep.
Tierra wasn't sleepy at all. She grabbed a book and went back to the Gryffindor common room to read.
Anyway, sleep is no longer a necessity for Tiera. Rather than wasting time on sleep, Tiera would rather spend it on reading, especially now that the situation has changed so much that Tiera needs to adjust her plans accordingly.
Moreover, Tierra couldn't sleep at all until she devised a complete plan that would take advantage of every possible opportunity.
Now, Tiera feels like she's missing out if she sleeps a little longer.
Just as Tierra was reading a book and thinking about what to do next, one house-elves after another appeared in the Gryffindor common room and began cleaning up the mess left behind by the recent revelry.
Tierra saw these house-elves and suddenly had a brilliant idea—
A wicked, preliminary plan gradually emerged in Tiera's mind.
"Gentlemen house-elves," Tiera called out with a smile to the house-elves who were cleaning.
But all they got in return was the fearful and apprehensive attitude of those house-elves.
The house-elves seemed startled by Tiera's "Sir." They dropped what they were doing and stood there bewildered, even looking at Tiera with some fear.
“Master Lockhart…” one of the older house-elves said, “My name is Kirby, you can just call me Kirby… We can’t accept the title of ‘sir’…”
The other house-pockets stood behind Kirby, nodding frantically.
“Alright, Kirby.” Tierra sighed helplessly, then said, “Then Kirby, could you please pass on this message for me?”
"What news, young master?" Carbon asked.
"Please tell Luna Lovegood, a third-year student in Ravenclaw, that Tierra Lockhart would like to meet me on the lawn east of Black Lake after breakfast tomorrow morning to discuss something. I wonder if she would do me the honor."
“Yes, Master.” Kirby bowed and said, “Kirby will definitely convey Master Lockhart’s words to Master Lovegood.”
"Thank you," Tierra said with a smile.
“Oh…no, you’re welcome.” Kirby said, bowing his head even more humbly, “It is our honor to serve the young masters of Hogwarts.”
“It’s my good fortune to be served by you,” Tiera replied with a smile.
Tiera's actions flattered the group of house-elves.
……
The next day was Sunday. Although Harry wasn't very sleepy, he was still too tired from the series of events that had happened the day before, so he slept until late morning.
Harry woke up and lay in bed for a while in a daze before he remembered why he felt so sad and anxious.
Then, the events of last night flashed through his mind. He sat up, drew back the curtains of his four-poster bed, wanting to speak to Ron, to force Ron to believe him—
But they found Ron's bed empty; he had obviously gone downstairs for breakfast.
Harry looked in the other direction—
Harry wanted to talk to Tyella.
But Tierra's bed was also empty... no, to be precise, Tierra's bed was perfectly tidy, without even a trace of anyone having slept on it—
Harry quickly dressed and went down the spiral staircase to the common room below. As soon as he appeared, the students who had already eaten breakfast cheered enthusiastically.
He remembered that he still had to go into the Great Hall and face the other Gryffindor students, who all regarded him as a hero, and the thought made him a little scared.
But if he didn't go to the Great Hall, he would have to stay here and be bothered by the Crevy brothers, Harry's two fans, one big and one small, who were waving at him desperately, hoping he would come over to them.
So Harry decisively walked to the hole behind the portrait, pushed it open, and went out—
He and Hermione met face to face.
“Good morning,” Hermione said, holding up a stack of bread wrapped in a napkin. “I suppose you might not want to eat in the Great Hall, so…would you like to go for a walk?”
“Great idea,” Harry said gratefully.
They went downstairs and, without even glancing at the auditorium, quickly passed through the foyer.
Soon they were striding along the lawn that stretched toward the lake.
Durmstrang's large ship lay moored on the lake, casting a dark reflection in the water.
It was a cold morning, and as they walked, munching on bread, Harry told Hermione everything that had happened the night before after he left the Gryffindor table. To his great relief, Hermione accepted his account without reservation.
“Of course I know you didn’t sign up! Only a fool would think you put your name in.” After he finished recounting everything that had happened in the room next to the Great Hall, Hermione said firmly, “Look at the look on your face when Dumbledore called out your name! You can’t fool me.”
“Well… okay, thank you for believing me, Hermione,” Harry said gratefully.
“The question is, who put your name in there? You know, Moody was right, Harry… I don’t think any student could do that… A student could never cheat the Goblet of Fire, nor could they cross Dumbledore’s line—” Hermione said as she walked. Suddenly, Hermione froze, stopped, and quietly took a few steps back, then a few steps to the left, her eyes fixed on the eastern shore of the Black Lake.
Harry followed Hermione's gaze and looked in that direction—
Harry spotted Tyella immediately:
Tierra sat half-reclined on the roots of a willow tree on the eastern shore of Black Lake, talking and laughing, gesturing in the air as if explaining something to the person next to her.
Beside Tiera, a petite girl with light blonde hair smiled sweetly and looked up at Tiera.
"Who is that girl?" Harry asked.
“It seems to be a madwoman…cough…I think her name is Lunalovegood,” Hermione said after a moment’s thought. “What are they talking about?”
“Let’s go take a look,” Harry said, and then walked straight toward Tyella.
"Hey, Harry, wait!" Hermione called out from behind Harry, seemingly trying to stop him, but she followed him herself.
As Harry and Hermione approached the lake, Tyella and Lunalovegood's conversation seemed to be drawing to a close—
“Then it’s settled!” Harry heard Tyella say.
“Okay, then it’s settled.” Luna replied with a smile, then gave an OK sign.
