Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones
Chapter 298
Chapter 298 (Hehehe, who is the clown now?)
“Alright, the trophy is about to be decided,” said Dumbledore. “I estimate it will take another minute. Listen, after the champion’s name is announced, I want them to walk to the top of the Great Hall, then down the faculty tables, and into the trophy room next door—”
Dumbledore pointed to the door behind the faculty desk, “—they will receive their initial instruction there.”
Then he took out his wand and waved it dramatically. Instantly, all the candles except those in the jack-o'-lantern went out, plunging the hall into a state of dim light.
The Goblet of Fire now shone brightly, brighter than anything else in the entire auditorium, its sparkling blue-white flames almost blinding.
Everyone watched, waiting... Several people kept checking their watches...
"Hello, is your house-elf here?" Just as everyone held their breath, quietly waiting for that minute to pass, a sudden voice rang out—
"I want two fruit salads," Tierra said, ignoring the stares from those around her. "Put in lots of melons, any kind—watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, anything goes, just make sure there's plenty of melons."
“Here, Harry, have some fruit salad.” After the house-elf handed two fruit salads to Tierra, Tierra gave one to Harry. “The watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew melon in this salad are really good, very fresh.”
“Oh, okay, thank you, Tyella,” Harry said.
Tierra watched as Harry took the fruit salad, picked up a fork, and ate a piece of watermelon.
Next up, please welcome Harry Potter to perform a skit where he gets caught in the crossfire—
Tierra, with a wicked grin, forked a piece and put it in her mouth.
The flame in the goblet suddenly turned red again, and sparks flew out.
Then, a tongue of fire shot into the air, and a piece of charred parchment flew out from it—
Everyone in the auditorium held their breath.
Dumbledore caught the parchment and held it far away so that he could read the words on it by the light of the flame. The flame then returned to its bluish-white color.
“The warrior of Durmstrang,” Dumbledore said in a clear and forceful tone, “is Viktor Krum.”
“Not surprising at all!” Ron shouted, as applause and cheers swept through the entire auditorium.
Harry saw Viktor Krum rise from the Slytherin table and walk listlessly toward Dumbledore. He turned right, walked along the faculty desk, and went through the door into the next room.
"Fantastic, Viktor!" Karkaroff roared, his voice booming so loudly that everyone in the auditorium could hear him. "I knew you were destined to be a warrior!"
The applause and chatter gradually subsided. Now everyone's attention was focused on the wine glass again, and a few seconds later, the flame turned red once more.
The second parchment, propelled by the flames, leaped out of the cup.
“A champion of Beauxbatons,” said Dumbledore, “Fleur Delacour!”
"It's her, Ron!" Harry called out, and the girl who looked just like a Veela stood up gracefully, tossed her silver hair, and walked lightly between the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff tables.
“Oh, look, they’re all so disappointed,” Hermione said amidst the commotion, nodding to the other Beauxbatons representatives. Harry thought “disappointed” was too mild a word. The two unchosen girls buried their faces in their arms and wept bitterly.
After Fleur Delacour entered the next room, the Great Hall fell silent again, this time with a palpable, intense excitement. Now it was the Hogwarts' turn to welcome the champions…
At this moment, the Goblet of Fire turned red again, sparks flew, and flames shot high into the air.
"Next, the champions of Hogwarts—"
Another note shot out of the Goblet of Fire and landed in Dumbledore's hand—
Suddenly, Tiera felt as if something had attached itself to him.
Upon seeing the note, Dumbledore's eyes widened slightly, and he feigned a perfunctory expression of surprise. "A champion of Hogwarts—Tiera Lockhart!" Dumbledore said calmly.
"Hiccup—cough—cough—"
When Tyrell heard Dumbledore call her name, she immediately sucked the piece of watermelon she was eating down her throat.
It's right in Katieira's throat now.
Tierra had to cough a few times to get the watermelon back into the bowl.
Eating melons in your own home—
The clown is me!
In an instant, Tierra felt as if everyone in the hall was looking at her—
There were many concerned glances, but even more glances contained malice and jealousy.
A murmur of chatter began to emanate from the banquet hall.
“Tyella Lockhart!” Dumbledore called again, “Come forward.”
"For God's sake, you'd better go up there!" Hermione shoved Tyella.
Tierra had no choice but to put down her bowl, stand up, and force herself to appear calm as she walked to Dumbledore—
At the same time, my mind raced.
Now that it has already happened, and the Goblet of Fire's contract magic has fallen upon him, escape is no longer an option.
“Tierra, Tierra…” Dumbledore sighed and said seriously, “You’re really giving me a lot of trouble… Do you know what kind of behavior this is?”
"Ah? I'm sorry, Professor, I was wrong..." Tierra instinctively wanted to slide to her knees in apology, but suddenly she paused, then turned around to face the audience—
“Of course I know what this behavior is,” Tierra said with a slight smile. “It’s Gryffindor behavior!”
The banquet hall was silent for a moment, but then a burst of cheers erupted from the Gryffindor table—
The Weasley twins were the first to react, followed by Harry and Ron, and Hermione also started clapping with a helpless expression.
They clapped, whistled, and even stood up to bang on the table and stomp their feet, as if they wanted to stir up trouble and create a lively atmosphere.
And they did succeed.
A deafening roar of cheers, like a tidal wave, erupted from the Gryffindor table and spread throughout the entire banquet hall.
The commotion lasted for a long time, and Dumbledore had to shout "Silence!" three times to quiet the entire banquet hall.
“Very well,” said Dumbledore. “Then the champion of Hogwarts is decided: Tyella Lockhart!”
“Go, Tierra, along that road to the prize room,” Dumbledore said.
“Wait a moment, Headmaster,” Tierra said. “At this beautiful moment, I have a few words to say.”
“No! You don’t want to!” Dumbledore immediately refused, instinctively reaching out to grab Tyella—
But it was all for naught, because Tyella had already skillfully dodged Dumbledore's grappling hook and found the nearest bench to stand on—
Requesting monthly votes and recommendations for the new month.
