Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones

Chapter 290 Three Forbidden Spells

Chapter 290 The Three Forbidden Spells
“Uh, it’s… like this…” Tiera stood up, her head bowed and her face deathly pale. “I… I know… I know one…”

"Tell me, tell me, what is it?" the fake Moody said excitedly, staring at Tiera as if observing his pained expression—

But Tiera suddenly raised his head, his face expressionless, his eyes gazing blankly ahead. His gaze seemed to pierce through Professor Moody, focusing on a point behind his head.

“You—” Tiera said in an ethereal voice, “you are about to die—”

You will die before the end of this semester!

“No, no, no…” Tiera suddenly said again, “Not death, you will live… oh, you will live very easily… what you will suffer is not death, no, but…”

"It's the kiss of a Dementor!"

Then Tiera suddenly jerked her head—

I woke up as if from a deep dream.

"Ah, I'm so sorry..." Tiera said timidly, "I, I just, I just spaced out... Um, I know an unforgivable curse called the Imperius Curse..."

Tierra's voice grew softer and softer until she finally shut her mouth, then looked around with an innocent, naive expression.

"Ah...why is everyone so quiet?" Tierra whispered to Harry.

“You just made another prophecy…” Harry whispered, “You said…you said…”

Harry didn't continue speaking, but instead glanced at Professor Moody discreetly.

But Moody didn't speak, nor did he even ask Tiera to sit down. Instead, he glared at Tiera fiercely, limped to the podium, opened a drawer, and took out a glass bottle. Three large black spiders were crawling around inside.

Moody reached into the bottle, grabbed a spider, then limped over and tossed it onto Tierra's table.

Then Moody pointed his wand at it and murmured, "Out of body!"

The spider jumped off Moody's palm, suspended by a thin thread, and began to swing back and forth, as if sitting on a high swing.

It stiffly straightened its legs, then turned around and did a somersault, breaking the thin thread.

It slammed onto the table and started doing somersaults in circles.

Moody flicked his wand, and it stood up again on its two hind legs, dancing a kind of tap dance. Yes, tap dance.

Everyone laughed.

Only Moody and Tierra didn't laugh—

Tierra actually wanted to laugh too; he had been holding it in because it was genuinely funny.

But Tierra still feigned a blank and reluctant expression.

Harry stopped laughing after seeing Tyrell's expression.

"You think it's funny, right?" Moody asked in a gruff voice. "Would you like it if I did that to you?"

The laughter stopped almost immediately.

“Completely under my control,” Moody said softly.

Then the spider curled up and began rolling around incessantly. "I can make it jump out of the window, or drown itself, or jump into the throat of one of your classmates..."

Ron involuntarily trembled.

“Years ago, many wizards were controlled by the Imperius Curse,” Moody said. “It really kept the Ministry of Magic very busy back then, trying to distinguish who was being forced to act and who was acting of their own volition.”

"The Imperius Curse can be resisted. I will teach you how, but it requires a strong strength of character, which is not something everyone can master. You'd better try to avoid being hit by it. Stay alert at all times!" He suddenly roared, scaring everyone.

Moody picked up the tumbling spider and tossed it back into the jar.

"Does anyone else know any spells? Illegal spells?"

Hermione raised her hand high again, looking menacing, and Neville followed suit—

"Go ahead," Moody said, his magical eye turning and staring at Neville.

“There is… there is… the Cruciatus Curse,” Neville said softly but clearly.

Moody looked at Neville very intently, this time with both eyes at once.

“You’re Longbottom, aren’t you?” he said, his magical eyes lowering to examine the roster.

Neville nodded nervously, but Moody didn't ask anything else. He turned his back to the class, took a second spider from the glass bottle, and placed it on the podium. The spider didn't move; it seemed terrified.

“The Cruciatus Curse,” Moody said. “We need to zoom in a bit for you to see it clearly—”

Then Moody pointed his wand at the spider, "Grow bigger!" The spider swelled up. It was now bigger than a tarantula. Ron, no longer caring about hiding his size, moved his chair back, trying to get as far away from Moody's podium as possible.

Moody raised his wand again, pointed it at the spider, and whispered, "Crucio!"

Immediately, the spider's legs all retracted, pressing tightly against its body.

It rolled over, its body convulsing violently and swaying from side to side, without making a sound.

Moody didn't remove the wand, and the spider began to tremble and twitch even more violently -

"Stop!" Hermione screamed.

Harry turned to look at Hermione.

She wasn't looking at the spider, but at Neville. Harry followed her gaze and saw Neville's hands gripping the table in front of him tightly, his knuckles white, his eyes wide open, filled with terror.

Moody raised his wand, and the spider's legs relaxed, but continued to twitch.

“Shrink quickly,” Moody murmured.

The spider shrank back to its original size, and Moody put it back into the bottle.

“Extreme pain,” Moody said softly. “If you could recite the Cruciatus Curse, you wouldn’t need a thumb clamp or a knife to torture someone… This curse was once very popular.”

"Alright... does anyone else know any spells?"

Hermione raised her hand for the third time, but her hand trembled slightly.

“Go ahead and say it,” Moody said, looking at her.

“Avada Kedavra,” Hermione whispered.

Several people turned to look at her uneasily.

“Aha,” Moody said—

His crooked mouth twitched again, revealing a slight smile. "Yes, this is the last and most powerful curse. Avada Kedavra... the Death Curse."

He put his hand into the glass bottle, and the third spider seemed to know its impending doom and crawled desperately around the bottom of the bottle, trying to avoid Moody's fingers, but he still caught it and placed it on the podium. The spider began to crawl desperately across the wooden tabletop again.

"Avada Kedavra!" Moody roared.

A blinding green light stung the eyes, accompanied by a jumble of noises, as if an unseen behemoth was flying through the air—

At the same time, the spider rolled over and lay on its back on the table, without a single wound on its body, but it was undoubtedly dead. Several students struggled to suppress the screams they wanted to let out.

“It’s not pleasant,” he said calmly. “It’s unpleasant. And there’s no way to break the spell. There’s no way to resist it. As far as people know, only one person has escaped this spell, and he’s sitting right in front of me right now.”

Moody's Eyes—

Moody's eyes were both fixed on Harry's, and Harry could feel the whole class turning to look at him—

But Harry just stared at the empty blackboard, seemingly mesmerized, when in fact he saw nothing at all—

“Don’t worry, Harry.” At this moment, Tyrell gently patted Harry’s hand and said in a voice that was clearly a whisper but could be heard by everyone, “Voldemort will be reduced to ashes by your wand.”

“Tsk tsk tsk, let me tell you, he died a truly gruesome death.” Tiera spoke again in a voice that was clearly a whisper but everyone could hear, “Tsk tsk tsk… reduced to ashes, I’m telling you… tsk tsk tsk… not a trace left… tsk tsk tsk… nothing but dust and dirt… tsk tsk tsk…”

Harry noticed that Professor Moody's Magic Eye had begun to stare intently at Tyella.

Then the question comes-

Is updating daily an April Fool's joke, or am I serious?
