Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones

Chapter 283 Leaked Secrets in Advance

Chapter 283 Leaked Secrets in Advance
The next morning, when they got up, the entire Burrow was shrouded in a somber atmosphere of the end of a holiday.

Outside the humble dwelling, heavy rain pounded against the windows.

Mrs. Weasley used the village post office phone to book three ordinary Muggle taxis to take them to London.

When they arrived at Kingdom Cross Station, the rain seemed to be pouring down harder, and Tyella, Harry, Hermione, and the rest of the Weasley family were all soaked to the bone as they entered the station.

Despite this, Mrs. Weasley still insisted that they go to Platform Nine and Three-Quarters one by one.

After everyone had entered Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, Weasley waved his wand and dried everyone's clothes.

The Hogwarts Express was already stopped there, billowing thick smoke. Through the smoke, the many Hogwarts students and their parents on the platform looked like dark, ghostly figures.

Ron's owl, the little pig heard many owls hooting in the smoke and squeaked in response.

Tyella, Harry, Ron, and Hermione began looking for seats, and soon they had moved their luggage into a compartment on the train.

Then they jumped back onto the platform to say goodbye to Mrs. Weasley, Bill, and Charlie.

"Maybe I'll see you all soon," Charlie said with a smile as he hugged Ginny and said goodbye.

"Why?" Fred asked eagerly.

“You’ll find out,” Charlie said. “Don’t tell Percy I mentioned it… You see, this is ‘top secret information,’ and it can only be released when the Ministry of Magic deems it appropriate.”

"Oh, I really hope I can go back to Hogwarts this year," said Bill, with his hands in his pockets, looking at the train with a sad look on his face.

"Why?" George asked impatiently.

"You're going to have an interesting year," Bill said, his eyes twinkling. "I might take some time off to watch some of it..."

"Part of what?" asked Ron.

But just then the whistle blew and Mrs. Weasley rushed them towards the car door.

“Thank you for letting us stay, Mrs. Weasley,” Hermione said.

By then they had boarded the train and closed the doors. She leaned out of the window to say goodbye to Mrs. Weasley.

“Yes, thank you for everything you’ve done for me, Mrs. Weasley,” Harry said.

“You are like a mother to us!” Tierra said clearly, sticking her head out of the window.

“Oh, I would love to, dear,” said Mrs. Weasley. “I would like to invite you to Christmas, but… I suppose you would all prefer to stay at Hogwarts for one reason or another.”

"Mum!" Ron said irritably, "What on earth is going on that you three know about it and you're hiding it from us?"

“I reckon you’ll figure it out tonight,” Mrs. Weasley said with a smile. “It’s going to be very exciting. And let me tell you, I’m so glad they’ve amended the bylaws—”

"What charter?" Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fred, and George asked simultaneously.

"I'm sure Professor Dumbledore will tell you... Now, behave yourself, you know? Do you hear me, Fred? And you, George?"

The engine's pistons hissed loudly and the train started moving.

"Tell us what happened at Hogwarts!" Fred shouted out the window—

Mrs. Weasley, Bill and Charlie are hurrying away. "What rules did they change?"

But Mrs. Weasley just smiled and waved at them. Before the train could turn the corner, she, Bill, and Charlie Apparated. Unable to get any answers from their inquiries, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Tyella returned to their compartment, where the heavy rain pounded against the windows, making it difficult for them to see anything outside.

Ron opened his trunk, pulled out his purple tuxedo robe, and covered the pig's cage with it; its squeals were too loud.

“Bagman would be willing to tell us what happened at Hogwarts,” Ron said sullenly, sitting down next to Harry. “Remember, during the World Cup? But my own mother wouldn’t tell. I don’t think Mr. Bagman would say anything now, though. By the way, Tyrell, do you know anything?”

"Hehehe." Tiera chuckled, but shook her head with her lips pursed.

“You know!” Hermione suddenly shouted, “You know, don’t you? Tell me!”

"Hehehe." Tiera shrugged, but still didn't say anything.

At that moment, Tiera felt a pair of hands touch his ticklish spot and then began to scratch him frantically.

"Tell me, tell me, tell me!" Harry said, putting on a fierce expression.

"Tell us, tell us, tell us!" Ron and Hermione also seized the opportunity to pounce on Tierra, tickling her together—

"Hahahaha, cough, hahahaha... Let... let me go..." Tyella was caught off guard by Harry, Ron, and Hermione's sudden attack. "I... hahahaha... I... I surrender!"

Ron and Hermione then stopped, but Harry scratched them hard one more time before stopping.

"Alright, alright, I'll tell you." Tiera sat up and straightened her clothes helplessly. "It's the Triwizard Tournament."

"The Triwizard Tournament?" Ron asked. "What's that?"

“The Triwizard Tournament was established over seven hundred years ago. It’s a friendly competition between the three largest magic schools in Europe,” Tierra said. “These three schools are Hogwarts, Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and Durmstrang School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Each school selects a champion, who then competes in three magical events. The Triwizard Tournament is held every five years, with the three schools taking turns hosting it.”

“But why have we never heard of it?” Harry asked.

“Because the death toll was too high,” Tierra said, “the sport was suspended for centuries.”

"Then why are they restarting it again this year?" Hermione asked.

“Because…” Tyella glanced at Harry, then said, “maybe the Ministry of Magic wants someone dead.”

……

Meanwhile, hundreds of miles away at the Riddle House, Voldemort, lying on the sofa, grew angrier and angrier. Suddenly, Voldemort roared—

"Barty!"

After Voldemort finished roaring, a sound of wood being tapped on the floor came from behind. A middle-aged man with washed hair, one eye, and one leg walked over and knelt on one knee.

"Master, is there anything else you need?" asked Barty Crouch Jr., who had been transformed into Alastor Mudy using the Polyjuice Potion.

"I have another task for you," Voldemort said. "Besides Harry Potter, I want you to bring me back another person."

“Who? My master?” Barty Crouch Jr. asked.

"That Muggle-blood named Tierra!" Voldemort said viciously. "And that Mudblood who's always following Harry Potter around, bring him here with you, alive!"
