Chapter 202 Dumbledore and Tyella in the Office
Sure enough, Tiera stood before the hideous, enormous gargoyle—
The ugly gargoyle tilted its nose and eyes—
Then it slowly turned, revealing the spiral staircase behind it.
It wasn't until Tierra stepped onto the stairs that he suddenly realized—
Was that ugly gargoyle making a face at me?
Is that guy trying to please me?
Is this the special treatment that the domineering principal's ex-boyfriend, the Dark Lord's, substitute student receives?
Tierra obediently walked up the spiral staircase—
He dared not let the parasite drag him upwards here, for Dumbledore might be watching his every move right now.
At the end of the spiral staircase is a gleaming oak door with a brass door knocker in the shape of a griffin.
After finally reaching the door of the principal's office, Tierra caught her breath and raised her hand to knock on the gleaming brass door knocker—
But before Tierra could touch the brass door knocker, the gleaming oak door opened by itself.
When Tiera visited the principal's office last time as "Gidro Lockhart," she didn't have time to properly observe the office because she needed to act and there were just too many people around.
Behind the door was a spacious, beautiful circular room filled with all sorts of funny little noises.
On the long-legged table sat many strange and unusual silver objects, spinning and emitting wisps of smoke. The walls were covered with portraits of the former male and female principals.
There was also a huge table in the room with claw-shaped legs.
On a shelf behind the table was the Sorting Hat, next to which was a glass case containing the Gryffindor sword, and opposite that, in a black cabinet, was the Pensieve.
Dumbledore's phoenix, Fawkes, perched on a tall, gilded perch behind the door.
Tierra was like a playful teenage brat, looking left and right, wanting to take in everything fun—
Sword, phoenix, sword, phoenix, sword, phoenix...
Tierra kept repeating this in her heart—
Honestly, if Dumbledore hadn't been sitting behind his desk, Tyrell would have definitely taken the sword and plucked a few phoenix feathers from it.
“Tierra, welcome.” Dumbledore smiled and stood up, walking out from behind his desk.
“Headmaster,” Tierra replied with a smile.
“Come, sit down.” Dumbledore pulled out the chair in front of his desk, then waved his hand, and a steaming glass of milk and several fragrant pastries appeared out of thin air on his desk—
“I’m so sorry to have called you here at this hour,” Dumbledore said. “I imagine you didn’t get to enjoy your breakfast properly. Come, sit down and have something to eat. These are my favorite desserts.”
“Okay, okay, thank you, Headmaster.” Tierra walked over obediently.
Then it suddenly occurred to me that I seem to be going through puberty now.
So he swaggered in, acting all high and mighty, and sat down in the chair. Then he reached out, grabbed a dessert, and stuffed it into his mouth.
Huh? Why is there still no truth serum?
Dumbledore sat quietly on the other side of the desk, watching Tyrell eat.
After Tierra had eaten her fill of milk cake, Dumbledore waved his hand, and the dirty plates and food scraps on his desk disappeared again.
“Tierra, you’re so clever, would you mind guessing why I called you here?” Dumbledore asked kindly.
"Because I've been skipping classes and not doing my homework lately?" Tierra said.
“No,” Dumbledore said.
"Because I've been playing pranks and breaking school rules with George and Fred Weasley lately?" Tyrell asked again. "No," Dumbledore replied.
"Because it was uncivilized for me to be too intimate with Harry?" Tierra asked again.
Dumbledore: ...
Tyella noticed that Dumbledore's kind smile froze for a moment, and his muscles twitched noticeably before he said:
"No."
“Sigh…” Dumbledore rubbed his temples and sighed, “It’s a prophecy, Tyella. I called you here because of a prophecy! Don’t give me this nonsense.”
“Oh… a prophecy,” Tierra said deliberately, drawing out the word. “What prophecy?”
“Voldemort’s prophecy,” Dumbledore said.
"Voldemort's what?" Tyella asked again.
Dumbledore: ...
How come I never realized this brat was so annoying before?
Dumbledore raised his hand, rubbed his temples, then took a deep breath and said:
“Mr. Lockhart, I hope you understand one thing. With great power comes great responsibility.”
Tierra: ...
Are you Dumbledore or Ben Parker?
Do you want me to arrange for a thug to shoot you after you finish your lecture?
“You possess this gift, Tyrell,” Dumbledore continued. “It is a gift of destiny. Instead of resisting it, accept it, embrace it. Think of it, Tyrell, think of what you will gain after embracing it? You will gain fame, you will gain power, you will gain…”
“To gain a bed in Nurmengard for life,” Tierra continued, picking up where Dumbledore left off, “and then lose everything in one night, slowly rotting away in regret, pain, and despair.”
"So you knew that?" Dumbledore said in surprise.
“How could I not know?” Tierra retorted. “These days, Draco Malfoy has practically been calling me the next Grindelwald. How could I not know about Gellert Grindelwald, the greatest Dark Lord?”
"So you're quite familiar with his deeds?" Dumbledore asked.
“Yes, I know very well,” Tierra replied with a smile. “Honestly, if I had been born a few decades earlier, I would have wanted to follow Grindelwald.”
“Always by his side,” Tierra added, “The kind of person he sleeps with.”
Tierra saw that Dumbledore's forehead veins suddenly bulged.
“No, you won’t.” After catching his breath, Dumbledore said, “You’ll know when you know him well enough that you can’t possibly like him.”
“He could never like you,” Dumbledore added.
“To be honest, Headmaster, I find it strange that you would want me to embrace my talent,” Tierra said. “Aren’t you afraid that I might really become the next Grindelwald? After all, I am exceptionally gifted, have experienced the hardships of life at a young age, and have been tainted and influenced by dark magic.”
After a pause, Tierra thought back to some of her QQ space messages from middle school—
“Ah, I have been hurt by this world. I have witnessed the darkness of this world. Darkness is the truth. I will embrace the darkness! Ah!” Tiera said. “You see, if I were to accept my talents, I would definitely become a dark lord worse than Grindelwald. I believe that in some ways I would not be much worse than Mr. Grindelwald was when he dropped out of Durmstrang School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.”
“You don’t need to worry about that,” Dumbledore said. “I’m not worried at all either, because…”
Dumbledore picked up his teacup, took a sip, and said:
"You are far inferior to him."
