Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones
Chapter 193 Divination Lesson
Chapter 193 Divination Lesson
The next day was the first official day of school, and Tierra resumed her school routine—
I arrived at the library at 6:30, studied for an hour, then went back to my dorm to wash my face, and then went to have breakfast with Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
After a night, Hermione seemed to have calmed down a bit, but she still ignored Tyella.
When the four of them went into the Great Hall for breakfast, they saw Draco Malfoy, who seemed to be telling a very interesting story to a large group of people in Slytherin.
As they walked by—
"Hey, our little hero Tiera! I heard you were so scared of the Dementors yesterday you fainted," Malfoy said sarcastically. "But I suggest you get familiar with them as soon as possible, because someone like you could be dragged into Aztecs at any time—"
"Bam—"
Draco Malfoy's face was hit by a thick book, "Seeing the Future Through the Fog"—
This is Tyrell's book, but Hermione is holding it in her hands now.
When Tyella saw Malfoy, she weighed the book in her hand, but just as she was about to act, Hermione snatched it away—
Then it hit Malfoy in the face.
"You damned thing—" Malfoy jumped up, ready to retaliate, but—
"F*ck off!" Hermione yelled, then threw the book back into Tierra's arms and walked away to her breakfast spot without looking back.
"Phew~" Hermione exhaled after sitting down, "This feels so good."
Tierra: ...
Alright, I'm glad you've calmed down.
The first class of the semester was Sybil Trelawney's Divination class.
The divination class was held at the top of the North Tower.
This is basically the highest floor in the entire Hogwarts Castle.
So when they stood at the door of the Divination classroom, Harry, Ron, and Hermione were all panting heavily—
But Tierra didn't. He remained as usual, with no backache, leg pain, or shortness of breath. This wasn't because he had taken the new Gaizhonggai brand high-calcium tablets—
Because when Tiera reached the fourth floor, she stopped climbing and instead stayed at the back of the line, silently letting the "parasite" she was wearing lift her up.
"You guys are no good." Looking at her classmates who were panting heavily, Tiera said without batting an eye, "You're so young, and your bodies are so weak. You need to exercise more often in the future."
"Hmph—" Hermione glared at Tierra angrily, then walked into the Divination classroom.
The divination classroom was a strange one that I had never seen before.
In fact, it doesn't resemble a classroom at all; it's more like a mix of an attic and an old-fashioned teahouse.
There were at least twenty small round tables crammed into this classroom.
Each table is surrounded by armchairs made of Indian printed fabric and bulging little cushions.
Everything was illuminated by a dim, scarlet light.
The curtains were all drawn, and many of the lamps were covered with deep red lampshades.
The classroom was uncomfortably warm, the fireplace was stuffed full, and a large copper kettle was burning on the fire, emitting a dull, cloying aroma.
The circular wall was lined with shelves, overflowing with dusty feather ornaments, candle stubs, worn-out playing cards, countless silver crystal balls, and a large collection of tea sets. "It has quite a touch of homey charm," Tierra remarked.
Only then did all the students gradually arrive, but no matter who they were, whether they arrived first or last, they couldn't help but glance at Tiera—
The divination class requires two or three people to form a group, and everyone wants to be in a group with Tiera.
However, it's clear that Tyella has already teamed up with Harry and has declined other offers to team up.
Tierra only knew about Harry's fate. To ensure the accuracy of her prophecy, if other students really came, Tierra couldn't just cast curses on them every day, could she?
He's not some kind of devil, after all.
Once all the students had arrived, a voice suddenly came from the shadows—a soft, indistinct voice.
"Welcome..." the voice said, "It's so good to see you in the tangible world one last time."
Professor Trelawney walked slowly into the firelight—
Trelawney was very thin, and her large glasses made her eyes look several times larger.
In addition, Trelawney was draped in a light, sheer, shimmering shawl, her slender neck adorned with countless necklaces and beads, and her arms and hands were covered with bracelets and rings.
“Welcome to the magical divination class,” said Professor Trelawney, sitting in a winged armchair in front of the fireplace. “I am Professor Trelawney, whom you may not have seen before. I have found that the excessive frequency and busyness of school life has blurred my third eye, so I will not be overly involved in your school life.”
No one said anything about this unusual declaration.
Professor Trelawney carefully adjusted her shawl and continued, “You’ve chosen Divination, the most difficult course of all the magical arts. I must warn you from the outset: without 'vision,' there’s very little I can teach you; in this respect, books can only take you so far…”
“But!” Professor Trelawney suddenly shouted, “You, boy—”
Professor Trelawney suddenly pointed at Tyella with her thin finger and said, "I've heard you're one of the few wizards with this talent—"
“Perhaps, Professor Trelawney,” Tierra replied.
“Then…come here, child, come here,” Professor Trelawney said, taking Thiella’s hand and stroking the lines on his palm—
"Hmm..." After touching her for a while, Professor Trelawney only managed to utter one word—
“Your fate is very strange…” Professor Trelawney said after touching it for a while. “I have never seen such a bizarre and unpredictable fate.”
"Nonsense..." Tiera thought, "Of course you haven't seen it—"
Just now, fearing that the true prophet might see something, Tiera deliberately used flesh magic to constantly alter the lines on her palm—
Therefore, the palm lines that Professor Trelawney felt were constantly changing. In just a short while, Trelawney had prepared several different explanations in her mind, but each time she touched the palm, the lines changed.
Professor Trelawney has begun to question the meaning of life.
“Perhaps it’s because I was once possessed by Voldemort,” Tierra gave Professor Trelawney a way out, “so my fate is a bit messy.”
“Oh…yes, yes, yes,” Professor Trelawney said. “I’ve heard you also have a talent for prophecy…could you give the students a demonstration of prophecy now?”
Harry and the other students all looked at Tyella with curiosity—
Especially Justin Finley, one of the main figures in the last great prophecy of Tyrell.
This prophecy lesson was taken together by Gryffindor and Huffpatch.
“Oh, alright,” Tierra said reluctantly, “but I need to borrow your sherry—”
Everyone get out of the way, I'm about to show off.
Thank you Korsi for the 100 points!
Thank you Xingyouyou for your January vote.
