Chapter 35 Acknowledgments to Readers: Thank you all for your support, "The Way of the Arts" is now officially signed and available for purchase!

After being serialized for over a month, "The Way of the Arts" was finally signed and published. I don't know if this description is accurate, but as a newcomer to story writing, especially since my reading habits are still based on paper books and Kindle e-books, I haven't even had the Qidian app installed for more than two months.

To be honest, I'd say I'm a very traditional person.

Like many readers, I have a regular job during the week, so I write mostly in my spare time. After a while, I realized that writing is particularly challenging in terms of perseverance, requiring me to fight against my own laziness.

As for why I wrote "The Way of the Arts," it all started with a storytelling urge. I think many people feel the same way; sometimes after watching a movie, reading a novel, or even seeing a trending news story, we feel the urge to tell a story.

Of course, these movies and novels may not all be masterpieces, and some may even be works with a Douban rating of less than 3 points, but they will give you the urge to "create" (actually, I prefer to trace its origins back to "storytelling").

Sometimes when I chat with friends, I say that storytellers should have a kind of obligation. You write a story, and readers spend time reading it, consuming their time. And time is life; you could say you're directly consuming someone else's life.

So as someone who is writing stories, I have a sense of mission to do my best to tell a good story.

This has nothing to do with whether others "subscribe" or "donate." Because what others have given is something far more valuable than money: their "time."

Therefore, writing a good story is fundamentally about respecting the readers and having reverence for the time (a part of their lives) that others have invested.

Therefore, I am very grateful for the readers' participation. During my breaks from work, I carefully read every comment, striving to listen to everyone's feedback and improve my work accordingly.

Perhaps there are naturally born "masters" or "geniuses" of writing, but I don't consider myself one of them. Therefore, I feel that good works are not created overnight; they are the result of careful consideration of the plot and polishing of the language.

Of course, the pace of online novel updates may not allow you to spend a lot of time repeatedly refining your words and phrases, but I will definitely do my best.

I sincerely hope that "The Way of the Arts" will not be a traditional and common formulaic online novel, a work that allows readers to know the plot after reading two pages and then say, "This is just a standard XX novel! It's boring!" and that's the end of it.

Instead, I hope to tell you a "story" and strive to make it a "good story." Like the kind of story we listened to our teachers tell in kindergarten when we were kids, where we found almost every story fascinating.

I often ask myself, how long has it been since I read those fresh stories from my childhood? This is the driving force behind my writing of "The Art of War".

To be honest, I'm actually quite grateful to Qidian. It allows everyone who wants to tell a story to have readers and gives everyone the power to create.

Because the right to create, like the right to read, should be given to everyone, regardless of whether they are full-time or part-time, professional or layperson.

What I find particularly interesting is that modern internet technology allows authors to communicate with readers in every sentence, something unimaginable when reading printed books.

Overall, I will do my best to ensure that the story of "The Way of the Arts" does not disappoint everyone. Of course, my personal abilities are limited, and I also have to work, so please forgive any shortcomings.

Finally, I will take everyone's opinions very seriously. And I believe that if I want the "World of Arts and Paths" to be truly captivating, it cannot be accomplished by the author alone.

An author can only write some stories in this world, but to make the world of magic and Tao more realistic and complete, it must be a matter of pooling wisdom from all sides.

To thank everyone for their support, I'll try to give out more red envelopes in the future!

In the very end, I want to say that no matter how many favorites, reads, or recommendation votes "The Way of the Arts" may have, from the bottom of my heart, I only write for one person.

He meticulously revised and refined his work, scrutinizing every word. He fought tirelessly against creative blocks, working from dawn till dusk.

In reality, they are all working hard for just one person.

This person is right now on the other side of the screen, facing me—

you.
