Chapter 231 The Synchronizer

Chapter 231 The Synchronizer
Saint Pingning. Includes the hub state.

In the dead of night, amidst towering mountains and forests, a fierce wind and snowstorm raged.

A golden light shot into the sky! The golden cudgel spun once in mid-air before falling back down.

When Mieying, who was standing in front of Hunyuan Dao, turned around, he immediately recognized the light from the Golden Cudgel and exclaimed in surprise, "Could it be that something has happened to Hua Sheng and the others!"

Seeing Lan Caihe's aggressive demeanor, Bu Xu immediately summoned the Divine Dragon White Mist.

The white mist spread rapidly, forming a white wall that temporarily separated Lan Caihe from the three others.

Bu Xu then said to Mie Ying and Jian, "Sisters, go and see what happened to the abbot. I'll take care of things here!"

Mieying said urgently, "You're injured, how can you be a match for Lan Caihe!"

Bu Xu showed no fear whatsoever, replying, "It's alright, it's alright! Leaving one alive is actually advantageous. Lan Caihe certainly won't dare to be rough with the child; he still needs to preserve the dignity of the Eight Immortals!"

Mieying immediately realized the truth in this statement. Considering the trouble she and Huasheng had caused in Shengpingning, it was understandable that Huasheng was now being pursued by the Holy Court. Regardless, she had to go and see.

Without further hesitation, she called out to Jane, "Little witch, come with me!"

Jane cursed inwardly, but did not object to leaving.

Mieying rushed out of the house, summoned auspicious clouds, grabbed Jianbian, and flew towards the direction where the golden cudgel had fallen.

Braving the swirling snow, when the two arrived at the collapsed pavilion, Ruokong was nowhere to be seen. Only Huasheng lay among the bricks and blood, the blood on the ground already congealed into a thin, deep red patch of ice. At this moment, the iron cudgel chain on Huasheng's chest had returned to its original necklace form, and the golden cudgel had flown back into its pendant.

"Flower bloom!!! Flower bloom!!!"

Mieying was shocked and rushed forward, only to find that Hua Sheng was no longer breathing and had no warmth at all. Mieying turned pale with anxiety and cried out, "She was perfectly fine just now, how could this happen!"

Jane quickly asked, "Where is that monk? He was already seriously injured, how come he's disappeared?"

"Was it another sneak attack by those thugs from your demon school?!" Mie Ying cried out, "Besides you wicked bastards, who else would be so vicious?!"

Jane quickly said, "That's not right, the Magic School simply doesn't have the resources to come here right now."

She bent down to examine the broken bricks on the ground and said, "And there are no signs of magic being used here..."

Mieying, clinging to Huasheng, shouted, "Huasheng, Huasheng! You idiot, how dare you abandon me! We just agreed at noon that you'd outlive me! You bastard, you'll never be able to repay what you owe me in this lifetime, you're not allowed to die! You're not allowed to die!!"

Seeing this, Jian frowned, wanting to step forward, but seemed to hesitate to speak.

Seeing Mieying clinging tightly to Huasheng, Jian wanted to say something, but held back. After several attempts, as if she were extremely hesitant, she finally couldn't help but step forward.

"Um... I mean..."

"Get out! If it weren't for you causing this trouble, we wouldn't be in this state!" Mieying hugged Huasheng, his Xiyuan Daoist robes covered in blood.

Jane wasn't intimidated by the fierce tone; instead, she placed her hand further on Hanamoto, "Just let me take a look..."

With a sharp slap, Mie Ying knocked Jian's hand away, roaring, "Look? You think you can save him?!"

“I might be able to give it a try,” Jane said softly.

These words instantly stopped Mieying's crying. He asked in astonishment, "You can bring the dead back to life?"

“No… there is no magic that can truly bring the dead back to life,” Jane said softly. “But the fallen angel told me something, and I… I think I can verify it. If what he said is true, then Hua Sheng might be saved.”

Mieying stared wide-eyed at Jane in disbelief.

Jane stepped forward and said, "I'm not entirely sure, but since the situation can't get any worse, we should give it a try."

Then Jian asked Mieying to help her unbutton Hua Sheng's clothes at the chest. They then laid Hua Sheng's body flat so that the wound in his heart was facing upwards.

After finishing her task, Jane gestured for Mieying to step back. Mieying then took three steps back.

Jian gritted her teeth and suddenly slashed her left wrist with her sharp nails, causing blood to gush out immediately.

Seeing this, Mieying quickly stopped him, saying, "Although he has lost a lot of blood, Western medicine like blood transfusions probably won't save him. Besides, your blood types might not be the same, and bleeding him out like this will only kill you too!"

Jane raised her hand to indicate that everything was alright, and said, "I will control my blood volume, because I also want to prove the fallen angel's words."

"What did the Fallen Angel say to you at noon?" Mie Ying then remembered that the Fallen Angel and Jane had a private conversation before leaving Angel Bay at noon, and he didn't expect it to be related to Hua Sheng.

Jane didn't answer. As more and more blood flowed into Hua Sheng's chest, Jane's lips began to turn pale, and she looked somewhat unsteady. At this moment, Hua Sheng still didn't move.

Seeing this, Mieying couldn't help but ask again, "Will it really work?"

"No...it's okay, try again...just a little bit more."

Jane swayed weakly, but managed to hold on for a while longer. Then she looked up at the sky and prayed, "Great God, please share the breath of my life with those who are in sync with me."

Then she took a deep breath, suddenly bent down, and blew her lips into Hua Sheng's mouth.

"Hey???"

Mieying, standing to the side, was dumbfounded and shouted, "You! You still want to kiss him at a time like this!!!"

As he spoke, Mie Ying was about to rush forward, but Jian immediately raised his hand to stop him, without intending to back down.

"Are you trying to humiliate me, you witch?!"

Just as Mieying was about to stop her, Jian raised the Star Rainbow Codex in her hand, and a magic wall immediately rose up around them. Mieying slammed his hand against the barrier but was bounced back, unable to advance even half a step for a moment.

Inside the magic wall, Jane blew a long breath into Hanamori's mouth.

To everyone's surprise, after a short while, Hua Sheng's face regained color, and his eyelids even opened a crack.

Seeing this, Mieying was overjoyed and shouted, "Hey! Huasheng! Huasheng!!"

Jane's forehead was covered in large beads of sweat, and she felt as if a weight had been lifted from her heart. The magical wall that had separated the Shadow of Annihilation had also vanished without a trace.

Hua Sheng, still half-asleep, was jolted back to reality by Mie Ying's call, only to find Jian's lips pressed against hers. She recoiled, yelling, "Hey! Why are you kissing me?"

Jane then raised her head and exclaimed, "Pah!"

Hua Sheng exclaimed in surprise, "You French women are really going overboard when it comes to liking men!"

Jane continued, "It's disgusting! I regret it so much, I never want to do that again in my life!"

Seeing Jane's strong reaction, Hua Sheng was also puzzled. "Huh?"

Jane, who had been holding back for a long time, finally roared, "Because I'm your sister!!"

"Huh???" Hua Sheng and Mie Ying exclaimed in unison, unsure how to respond.

All that remained was the sound of the wind howling.

Hua Sheng clutched her chest and struggled to her feet, using magic to try and stop the bleeding.

"You mean sister... little sister? When did I recognize you as my god-sister?"

“I’m not your adopted sister! I’m your blood sister! That’s why I can save you with my blood!” Jane shouted, her face flushed.

This nearly made Hanamori's jaw drop. He was stunned for a long time before he seemed to remember something and asked, "This is what the Fallen Angel meant by 'Synchronizer of Qi Patterns' when we left?! Does that mean we're siblings?"

Jane raised her middle finger and yelled at Hua Sheng, "That's right!! Are you satisfied now?! So what if we're siblings! FUCK YOU!!"

This time, it was Hanamori's turn to be at a loss for words.

The surprise on Mieying's face showed no disdain for Huasheng.

She stepped forward and said, "Why? That's not right! You two don't look alike... No, when Hua Sheng turned into a girl, she did look somewhat like you. But Jane, you're a Western barbarian, aren't you? How could you possibly be siblings?"

"I don't know... I really don't know..."

Jane shook her head frantically, and perhaps as her mood relaxed, her lips turned even paler.

"I also want to know why this is happening..."

After saying that, Jane had no more strength to speak and collapsed unconscious.
