Chapter 172 Ignoring the Path

Chapter 172 Ignoring the Path
Looking ahead, Hua Sheng saw that the muddy path and trees clearly marked the end of the road.

"Where are you talking about? There's no road ahead."

“Isn’t that the road? That path?” Jane pointed ahead.

Hua Sheng looked ahead and saw that it was indeed a dense jungle; the muddy path ended here.

He rubbed his eyes and looked again, then walked to Jane's side and looked in the direction she was pointing, but still couldn't see where the way out was.

Mieying seemed to be in the same boat, saying, "None of us saw it, so how come you could, Jane? Is there a specific path for different people?"

Hua Sheng said, "There's a similar situation in Shengpingning. Perhaps it's some kind of magical formation? We need to break this formation before we can go in."

Jane asked curiously, "What magic circle? Isn't that it?"

Hua Sheng looked around, but still couldn't find a way. Completely bewildered, she asked:
"I really can't see it! Why don't you walk around a bit?"

Jane looked at the two of them with a puzzled expression, and then walked towards the grove of trees ahead. Hua Sheng followed her back and found that it was as if Jane had walked out a new path.

Ahead, a narrow path, only wide enough for one person to pass at a time, appeared.

Hua Sheng and Mie Ying exclaimed in unison, "My God! How can there really be a path here!"

Jane, on the other hand, wore an expression of disbelief.

"You two already have it! What's wrong with you two? Are you both severely nearsighted, with prescriptions of 2000 degrees?"

Hua Sheng turned to Mie Ying and asked, "It's just a few meters ahead, how come I can't see it from the front?"

Mieying replied, "How strange! I misjudged her too! Only now that she's standing in front of the road can we see that she really didn't use any illusion magic. How could I have misjudged her just now?"

Jane clapped her hands and said with a sudden realization, "I remember now! I've heard of a kind of magic called the Ignore Spell. Once this spell is cast, it's very easy for anyone other than a magician to miss it. The magic is amazing because it doesn't hide the object, but exposes it to the light of day. Even if you stand in front of it and stare at it, you won't see it."

Hua Sheng quickly said, "No wonder I often hear about overlooked buildings and intersections in the city, or even inconspicuous people who are easily forgotten. They must have been subjected to this kind of magic!"

The three of them continued walking along this muddy, easily overlooked path.

After walking for about ten minutes, I looked up and was surprised to find that the scenery before me suddenly opened up. There was an old house built of rock on the edge of the cliff near the top of the mountain.

The old house blends seamlessly with the surrounding mountains; without careful observation, it would easily be mistaken for a naturally formed depression.

Although the door is made of wood, it is painted dark gray and closely resembles the rock.

Jane walked to the door and knocked, but strangely, no matter how much she knocked, the door didn't make a sound.

Mie Ying found it strange and said, "Could it be that a silence-silencing spell has been cast?"

Then she made a hand seal and chanted, "Hurry, hurry, as the law commands! Release!"

Jane patted it again, but still there was no sound.

Hua Sheng said to Mie Ying, "You're clearly not qualified! I don't think immortal spells can break magic arrays."

After saying that, he went up and pushed the door, but it didn't budge. He pulled on it, but it still wouldn't move. He moved it around, even pushing the left and right edges of the door like a revolving door, but he still couldn't budge the wooden door at all.

Then Hua Sheng murmured, "Why does this scene of opening the door seem so familiar? Do I always have to face these kinds of brain teasers?"

The thought of having to use his brain again gave Hua Sheng a headache. He shouted, "Ruyi Jingu Bang!"

As soon as the golden cudgel flew into his hand, Hua Sheng planned to pry open the door again.

Jane quickly went up to him and pulled him away: "Stop, you rude fellow! Angels are all elegant. Even if you're not a gentleman, you can't be a robber!"

Hua Sheng said irritably, "This door can't be pried open or pried open, so how are we supposed to get in?"

Jane pondered for a moment, then took out her wand, closed her eyes, and chanted, "O spirit of the atmosphere, grant this thing its original voice and break the spell of silence!"

She then recited a French incantation. A yellow current of electricity appeared from her wand, covering the entire door.

Compared to the Immortal Curse of Annihilation, the door did indeed react. Faint yellow characters appeared on the door.

Mieying asked, "What character is this?"

In short: "Latin".

"You understand?"

Jane gave her a disdainful look: "You don't even understand such a simple language as Latin?"

Mieying asked again, "Do you understand the I Ching and the Eight Trigrams?"

"What is this?"

"You don't even know the I Ching or the Eight Trigrams..."

"Alright, alright! You two stop bickering, let's get down to business." Hua Sheng quickly stepped forward to mediate. "Jane, we don't understand Latin at all, so tell me what it says? It doesn't say the owner has gone on a long trip, does it?"

“That’s not what it says,” Jane said. “But we’ve run into a problem. It says on the door that a stronger spell is needed to break the angelic barrier on this wooden door.”

Suddenly, Mieying spoke up with a mocking tone, "Looks like some people aren't very skilled..."

Hua Sheng asked, "What kind of powerful spell is needed?"

He replied simply, "My magic spell was correct. However, because the angel cast a powerful barrier on this wooden door, it's like pouring a cup of water on a burning house—it doesn't solve anything."

"Is there any way to make your spells more powerful?"

“The angel wrote on this door that the spell’s power needs to be amplified through an ancient Belka magic circle.”

Hua Sheng didn't understand, so he asked, "Do you know that David Beckham magic circle?"

Jane corrected, "It's an ancient Belka-style magic circle! Of course I know how to use it."

"What other problems are there?"

"But even if a magic circle is cast, it still won't meet the requirements to break the angel's barrier."

Why is it so complicated?

Jian said, "The ancient Belka magic circle is what we commonly call a triangular magic circle."

Hua Sheng suddenly realized and said, "Oh! I get it, it's like drawing an equilateral triangle with a magical spell attached, right?"

"Correct."

"What's so hard about this?"

Jane frowned and said, "I can draw this magic circle. But the angel has a special requirement. Only when this requirement is met will the magic be at its strongest and be able to break this magical barrier."

She sighed and continued, "The condition is that each of the three angles of this magic triangle must be a right angle!"

"This angel must be out of their mind, who could do that!"

Upon hearing Jian's words, Mieying retorted irritably, "He told us to draw a triangular magic circle, but all three angles must be right angles of 90 degrees?"
