Chapter 393 The commotion in the Department of Mysteries
Six people broke out of Hogwarts, and Hera could sense that they should have used broomsticks.Hera's face was pale, and he had a terrible guess.
Voldemort.
All this was Voldemort's plan.
Dumbledore left Hogwarts, Professor McGonagall was knocked down, and Voldemort tricked Harry with false memories.
Everything seems to make sense!
It seems that only such a hypothesis can explain why everything happened so coincidentally.
"Dumbledore, is this your plan?" Hera's face was pale, and he leaned on the wall, feeling a little dazed. He needs to figure out what he should do as soon as possible.
"Dumbledore. Dumbledore wants to contact him, so I need to find Mundungus. No, no, no, Dumbledore won't trust his Remus. He has other tasks, and he won't know where Dumbledore is." A figure flashed through Hera's head at the speed of light, and finally locked onto a person—Snape, Severus Snape.
If Dumbledore trusted anyone other than himself, Hera might only think of him. After all, Snape was the one who saved Dumbledore's life (the curse of the ring, Snape's potion delayed Dumbledore's death.)
So, Hera went to the dungeon almost immediately. Snape was brewing the potion as usual. He seemed to spend all his free time brewing the potion, without any private time at all.
"Severus, do you know where Dumbledore is?" Hera pushed the door open, not daring to disturb Snape's brewing of the potion, she could only ask softly.
Snape's arm wobbled, but he steadied himself. He pulled his wand out of the cauldron, raised his head and said very slowly, "I'm afraid you'll have to ask him that."
"I can't reach him." Hera said, walking up to Snape.
"That's such a pity." Snape stood up and turned back to search for something in the cabinet. .
"What are you looking for?"
Snape didn't answer, he quickly found what he was looking for - a golden-red feather, faintly shining with brilliance. There is no doubt that this is the feather of the phoenix Fox.
"You actually have this?"
"He gave it to me before he left. He had already guessed everything." Snape said very briefly without explaining too much. He believed that Hera understood what he meant.
Hera nodded and took the feather, "How do you use this thing?"
Snape took out his wand and poked it vigorously, a flame ignited from the feather, and it burned out almost instantly.
"Severus, what happened?" A head emerged from the flames, it was Dumbledore. He still seemed in good spirits and hadn't become negative about being kicked out of Hogwarts.
"Dumbledore, Harry and the others have left Hogg—"
"What?" Snape frowned tightly.
"Oh, is it as I guessed?" Dumbledore asked Hera, ignoring Snape's reaction.
Hera nodded, "Yes."
"Then I think we need to get ready," Dumbledore raised his head slightly, showing a thoughtful expression, "Severus, don't worry, he'll be fine, there are so many of us!"
"But the Dark Lord has the same number of subordinates." Snape said in a deep voice.
"When are we going to leave?" Hera asked first.
Dumbledore turned his head and looked at Hera, "Don't worry, we need to gather people. You can go to the Ministry of Magic first, but Severus," he turned his head to Snape again, "you'd better wait for Voldemort's call."
"I know that," Snape said coldly.
"Then I'm relieved." Dumbledore nodded.
The flames disappeared into the air, leaving only a little bit of ash on the floor, but soon disappeared.
"You heard it all." Snape turned around, lowered his head and didn't know what he was thinking, his voice was very low, "You can go to the Ministry of Magic first."
"Yeah." Hera nodded, and he was ready to leave. "Protect yourself." Before leaving, he deliberately added another sentence.
"It's enough to protect yourself, Miss Clearwater is still waiting for you." Snape didn't turn his head, he sat down on the chair, the shadow covered him, and Hera couldn't see his face clearly.
Hera nodded, turned and left the basement classroom, and soon returned to the principal's office on the eighth floor. He planned to use the Floo network to return to No. 12, Grimmauld Place, and then use Apparition or other easier methods to go to the Ministry of Magic. He needed to prepare sufficient physical strength for the later battle.
When he got back to Black's old house, Sirius was still asleep in the upstairs room. There is no doubt that he drank a lot of wine last night, and there were several empty wine bottles on the kitchen and living room tables alone.
"Kreacher." Hera said softly, and with a bang, the elf appeared in front of Hera.
"It's a pleasure to serve you, Master." Klee switched on a clean tea towel and tidied himself up. It maintained a high respect for Hera, and there was a broken locket hanging around its neck.
"Help me prepare a light suit for action." Hera was not in a hurry to set off, he didn't intend to fight the Death Eaters head-on - those guys didn't care if Hera was Voldemort's undercover agent, they were all utter lunatics - after so many years in Azkaban, they had already lost their sanity.
Twilight fell, and the sun set very early today, which seemed to be telling that something big would happen tonight. The sky gradually showed a faint, hazy purple, scattered with small silver stars.
Hera took a deep breath, and took out a dilapidated brass teapot from his pocket. This was the Portkey he had prepared for himself, and the destination was the corridor of the abandoned Tenth Interrogation Room of the Ministry of Magic.
Dumbledore had given him ten minutes' notice that he was ready to go, and his informant had told Harry that they had arrived at the Ministry of Magic.
The surroundings became dim, and it took Hera a few seconds to adapt to the dim environment in the abandoned corridor, and she took a step almost as soon as she knew her direction.
He walked towards the elevator. There was surprisingly no one here, not only no one, but no movement at all. This gave Hera a bad feeling in her heart.
"Oh, where should I go. Where could Harry be?" Hera murmured, "The memory of the Dark Lord. I think I know."
Hera pressed the nearest "up" button, and almost immediately the elevator clicked into view, and the golden bars slid from the center to the sides with a deafening, reverberating clang. He rushed in, poked the number nine button, and the bars slammed shut. The elevator made a rattling sound, which was very ear-piercing.
He believes that such a noise must attract the attention of every security personnel in the building. But when the lift came to a stop, a cold female voice said, "Department of Mysteries." The grate opened, and he stepped out into the corridor, where nothing was moving except for the nearest torch flickering in the draft stirred up by the lift.
Hera took a deep breath and turned to the plain black door behind which he knew was the Department of Mysteries.
It opened, and Hera stepped over the threshold, a decision he regretted, for he entered to find himself standing in a huge circular room where everything, ceiling and floor, was black. Some identical, unmarked, and handleless black doors were embedded in the surrounding black walls at some distance from each other. Some candles with blue flames were dotted on the walls. The cold, flickering candlelight was reflected on the bright marble floor, making the floor look like a puddle of black water.
"Damn it, I should have waited for Dumbledore." Hera cursed secretly. Ever since he came to the Ministry of Magic, the anxiety in his heart became more and more obvious, which made him a little aggressive.
But he has already come here, fortunately he did not close the door behind him, a narrow beam of light pouring in from the corridor behind illuminated the room——
squeak-
The door closed automatically.
It was so dark now that Hera could see only the blue candles flickering on the walls and their eerie reflections on the floor.
"This is really not good news." Hera held the wand tightly and groped forward carefully. He didn't plan to enter a certain room, and it could even be said that he didn't plan to go any further.
Rushing into an unfamiliar place, especially the highly guarded Department of Mysteries of the Ministry of Magic, is definitely a dangerous thing.
But things didn't seem to be as Hera imagined. With a loud bang, the candle began to move sideways, and the circular wall spun.
A few seconds later, the surrounding blue flames blurred into similar halos with the rapid rotation of the wall.
Then, as suddenly as it had begun, the rumble died away and all was quiet again.
Hera's eyes glowed with blue streaks, but he could see nothing else.
"It looks like I can't stay here any longer." Hera raised her wand. He continued to waste time here, fearing that more traps would be triggered. He had better choose a room to enter.
Hera blinked hard, trying to get rid of the blue lines in her eyes, and the wand in her hand gripped even tighter.
He walked straight to the door facing him, put his hand on the cold, smooth door, raised his wand, ready to rush through the moment the door opened, and Hera pushed.
The door swung open with ease.
Chandeliers hung low from the ceiling on golden chains, brightening the square room after the darkness of the first. The room was almost empty, with only one table, and in the center of the room there was a huge glass water tank filled with dark green liquid, big enough for Hera to swim in it, and many white things were floating slowly in it.
"Akawei maggot——" Hera gasped, the Ministry of Magic even kept such dangerous animals, what did they think about it?
"No, there are no Akka maggots in the world." Hera shook his head. He was really fascinated by watching "The Quibbler", and he actually believed the completely unreliable guess of Editor Lovegood. He looked intently, and there were piles of brains inside.
"But why does the Ministry of Magic keep such a weird thing?" Hera thought suspiciously. He stood in front of the water tank, and in the depths of the green liquid, there were white things that appeared and gleamed eerily, like sticky cauliflower.
This room was clearly not the right path to the Department of Mysteries, so Hera decided to retreat to the previous room.He made a small mark on the door with a magic spell, and entered behind each door in turn.
Hera can only use this slightly stupid and troublesome method.
Finally, after spending at least half an hour, Hera finally found the right room.
It was as tall as a cathedral, and filled with towering shelves filled with little dusty glass spheres, but nothing else.More candlesticks were fitted at regular intervals on the shelves, from which came dim light, the same blue flames as in the black circular room. Those little glass balls glow faintly in these lights. It was cold inside the house.
But before Herado observed the situation here, there was a hysterical scream in front of him.
"How dare he—how dare he—he's standing there—filthy bastard—"
It was Bellatrix's voice, and Hera recognized it as her voice with little effort, and it was a very crazy tone.
Hera cast a disillusionment spell on herself in a low voice, tiptoed towards the source of the sound, and carefully hid behind the shelf to observe the situation.
A group of Death Eaters surrounded Harry and the others, but Harry seemed to have something they wanted, which made them throw rat-throwers and could only threaten Harry with words.
But their patience was clearly running out, and at least five different voices rang out in the darkness, "Bones to pieces!"
The spell flew in different directions, the shelf where Hera was hiding exploded after being hit, Gao Song's shelf wobbled, hundreds of glass balls placed on it shattered, and a pearly white figure floated in the air.Their voices echoed in a rain of broken glass and wood that fell on the floor like never before
"Run!" Harry yelled, as the shelf crumbled and more glass balls began to fall from it.Hera quickly dodged to avoid being hit by the glass ball.
But Hera quickly grabbed Harry, "Run to the hall, quick!"
"H-"
"Quick!" Hera shoved Harry's back violently, holding the wand and yelled at the few Death Eaters in front, "Damn out!"
The spell apparently worked, and a red light hit the nearest Death Eater, who fell backwards into the ruins of the shelf, dead or alive - it was all shattered glass after all.
He would most likely be killed by shattered glass cutting an artery, but no one cared about him anymore. All the Death Eaters' attention was on Harry, and they followed the red light to catch up.
