Chapter 193 Horcrux

Chapter 193 Horcrux
"I thought Harry Potter would be the first to arrive here," Riddle's eyes lit up, as if his body had solidified a lot. "I didn't expect you to be as Percy said, with keen observation skills and strong strength. I underestimated you too much before."

"Thank you for the compliment." Hera replied, he planned to let Riddle continue talking like Professor McGonagall's plan—maybe he missed something right away?

"However, you still have nothing to do with me. Gilderoy Lockhart opened the chamber of secrets and scribbled those scary words on the wall. He is really a good man, but it's a pity." Riddle couldn't see the slightest regret on his face. "Percy Weasley strangled the cock, released the basilisk again, and attacked several little wizards. I have to say that he is much more convenient than Lockhart."

"Impossible!" A voice suddenly sounded.

Everyone (including Riddle) turned their eyes to the direction of the sound, which was the direction of the entrance, probably not far behind Riddle.

Harry Potter!

"Damn it, why is he here!?" The professors had this thought in their minds at the same time.

"Impossible, Percy wouldn't do such a thing!!!" Harry murmured.

Professor McGonagall waved at Harry, and she called eagerly, "Come here, Harry, come here!"

Harry froze for a moment, "Tom, why are you here?"

Riddle didn't speak, but just shrugged in Hera's direction, as if to say, "Look at this idiot."

Hera nodded silently, he and Riddle at least had the same opinion on this matter.

Harry quickly ran behind Professor McGonagall, but Riddle didn't stop him, didn't even say a word, just looked at Hera quietly.

The two looked at each other, as if they wanted to see something in each other's eyes.

But Hera didn't feel much except for some dry eyes.

"Tom, you."

"Enough!" Professor McGonagall interrupted Harry, and now was obviously not the time for them to talk.

Riddle felt a little regretful, he stuffed the wand back into his pocket, and then walked away.

As Hera watched, Riddle stopped between the towering stone pillars and looked up at the chain of Slytherin stone statues hidden in the darkness. Riddle opened his mouth and made a "hiss—" sound.

But in the ears of Harry and Hera, it was obviously not like this.

"Speak to me, Slytherin—the greatest of the Hogwarts Four."

Hera looked up at the statue, and the huge stone face moved. Its mouth opened and grew wider and wider, finally forming a huge black hole.

Something was moving in the mouth of the statue, and something was rustling upwards from the depths of the statue.

Well, no need to think about it at all, [-]% Basilisk.

"Harry, get out!" Professor McGonagall pushed Harry violently, almost knocking him to the ground. Harry staggered out of the room, and returned to the long, dark tunnel before.

The others took out a bottle of potion from their pockets in unison, and drank it in one gulp. This was the supersensory potion that Snape had distributed in advance. Even if they closed their eyes, they would not affect their perception of the outside world. The only flaw was probably that they had to stick their tongues out.

Listening to that voice, Hera closed her eyes tightly. For some reason, she suddenly had an impulse.

"Basilisk, back, back, back to sleep!"

Although it was still a hiss in the ears of the others, they could clearly tell Hera's meaning by the tone of her voice—let the basilisk go away.

"Don't waste your energy," Riddle chuckled, "it will only listen to me."

A huge object fell to the ground suddenly, and everyone could feel the terrible impact, as if the secret room was shaken by it.They could almost see the serpent unfurl its coiled body from the Slytherin's mouth.

Immediately afterwards, a scene where everyone was stunned happened.

The basilisk crawled back into the Slytherin statue at a faster speed, as if it had encountered some terrible natural enemy.

The speed was so fast that even Riddle couldn't close his mouth in surprise, "Basilisk, come out! Kill them!"

The basilisk ignored him, but scurried back into the statue.

The atmosphere suddenly became very embarrassing, Riddle stomped his feet angrily, he really couldn't figure out why this happened.

The basilisk clearly listened to his orders before, and let him arrange it, why doesn't it listen to his jurisdiction now?

"Give up your resistance, Dark Lord." Professor Flitwick jumped forward—much faster than he could take two steps, his wand raised above his head, aiming at Riddle's waist.

No one expected that they would run away in such an anticlimactic manner after being treated by them, and even regarded as the biggest enemy of the night!
"Basilisk, you come out, kill that boy, kill these guys! You smell it—smell them." Riddle slapped the Slytherin statue vigorously, hoping to summon the Basilisk—but obviously, his plan fell through.

The basilisk didn't intend to go out at all, it seemed to be asleep, and there was no more sound.

This made Snape sigh slightly. He thought that today he could harvest a whole basilisk corpse as a potion material, but he didn't expect the basilisk to shut the door and not fight.

"Then, you're the only one we're going to face next." Hera stood up, "Tom Riddle, the Horcrux of the Dark Lord."

Hera finally remembered where he had seen an existence that was very similar to Riddle, and he had seen a similar description in the book "Deciphering the Advanced Dark Arts".

To make a horcrux, a black wizard needs to shatter his soul through murder and other evil things, and then separate part of the soul from the body and seal it in a container, which is the horcrux. In this way, even if the body is destroyed, it will not die.Because there is still a part of the soul that has not been damaged and remains in the world. But the soul should remain intact, and to split it is an evil act against nature.

And this just happens to be able to explain why last year, even though Voldemort left only steam and shadows, he was still able to survive.

"Professors, we must find a way to get rid of him. Only by killing him can the Dark Lord truly disappear from the world." Hera shouted.

The professors nodded, and waved the wands in their hands, one after another, powerful wands were about to tilt out.

However, Riddle suddenly laughed arrogantly and crazily.

"Hahaha"

Thank you for your rewards and monthly tickets for encouragement. The temperature is cooling down today. I have a bit of a cold.
