Chapter 147 The Missing Fat Lady
Chapter 147 The Missing Fat Lady
"But after this, why don't you come to the banquet?" said Snape, his dark eyes gleaming in the candlelight. "Why go up the corridor?"
Snape was like a hovering bat, and also like a poisonous snake, spraying venom to his heart's content, covering Harry and the others' faces.
After Snape finished speaking, Ron and Hermione looked at Harry, and Hera groped her chin. Judging by their appearance, Harry seemed a little suspicious, but he had two oil bottles by his side, so he probably couldn't do much.
There is also the gloomy voice that I heard before, which is also a point of doubt.
But these have nothing to do with Hera, he is already planning to run away.
"Because—because—" said Harry, his hesitations adding to the suspicion.
Hera's brows were tightly locked together, and he suddenly had a somewhat crazy idea, that voice. He shouldn't be the only one who heard it, right?
Could it be that Harry and the others heard it too?
That's why they found the corridor on the third floor all the way?
"Because we're tired and want to go to bed early," said Harry.
Everyone could see that this was a lie, a lie that was too simple to be true, and Snape naturally would not let it go, he caught Harry's opening.
"No dinner?" Snape said, a smug smile flashing across his bony face, "I don't think the food that the ghosts serve at the party is probably not suitable for the living?"
"We're not hungry," Ron said aloud, only his solitary creaking.
Snape's ugly smile became more apparent.
Hera quietly dodged back to make room for Snape. He didn't want to face a Snape who was fully firing and attacking wildly.
"My opinion, Headmaster, is that Potter hasn't been completely honest," said Snape. "We should perhaps revoke some of his privileges until he tells us the whole story. Personally, I think it's best to let him leave the Gryffindor Quidditch team until he's honest."
"Honestly, Severus," Professor McGonagall snapped, "I see no reason why the kid shouldn't be allowed to play ball. The cat didn't get hit in the head with a broom. And there's no evidence Potter did anything wrong. Besides, with Hera around, I don't think they had a chance of doing anything."
Suddenly being named by Professor McGonagall, Hera smiled bitterly silently, but he was really innocent and did nothing, but he did feel that Hogwarts might not be as safe as he thought, and he was about to run away!
Just go tonight, don't tell anyone, just go!
Dumbledore gave Harry a probing look, then glanced back at Hera, lingering on him for a longer time.Facing the gaze of Dumbledore's bright blue eyes, Hera felt that she had been seen through.
"Innocent until proven guilty, Severus." He said firmly, his old voice completely unable to stop his firm will.
Snape looked exasperated, as did Filch. "My cat is petrified!" he screamed, his eyes popping out. "I want to see someone get some punishment!"
"We can cure it, Filch," said Dumbledore patiently. "Mrs. Sprout has got some mandrakes recently. Once they're big enough, I have a cure that will make Lori Mrs. Si is back from the dead."
"I'll configure it," Lockhart interjected. "I must have done it a hundred times. I could dream of configuring the Mandrake Revive Potion—"
Hera frowned, and his brows seemed to have never been untied tonight. He knew that Lockhart was an idiot. Maybe his mind was full of achnatherum, but he was definitely not an idiot. Why did he speak so rashly?
"Forgive me," said Snape coldly, "I thought I was the Potions teacher at this school."
A moment of silent embarrassment.
Hera groped for the stubble on her chin, which had grown a little at night.
He always felt that there was such a weirdness revealed in this incident, but he still couldn't grasp that point - he only needed a flash of inspiration to grasp it!
"You can go now," said Dumbledore to Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
They were supposed to be back in their beds by the time the Halloween party was over, getting ready for bed, but this had delayed them until now - even if it only took an extra 10 minutes or so.
They tried to speed up their pace and almost ran, but they just collided with people outside.
"Oh! Percy, why are you here?" Ron cried, covering his head.
"Ron, get out of the way, I have something to ask Professor Dumbledore, is he in there?" Percy was also a Weasley, and he rudely pushed his brother away, without bothering to straighten and dust off the messy cloak.
"Professor Dumbledore, some things are beyond all our expectations." Percy was not intimidated by the full professors in the teacher, he said calmly.
Dumbledore looked up at Percy suspiciously.
"It's a portrait. The fat lady's portrait has been vandalized maliciously, and the fat lady has also disappeared." Percy said as if reporting work.
Dumbledore slammed the table, "What?"
He walked away from the desk quickly, not even paying attention to Filch who was crying beside him.Everyone followed Dumbledore and walked upstairs quickly.
The Gryffindor Common Room occupies one of the best locations in Hogwarts on the eighth floor of Gryffindor Tower.Compared with it, Slytherin's environment is simply terrible to a certain extent.
After a while, they rushed to the Gryffindor lounge again.Dumbledore was in the lead, and he hurried towards the portrait, the Gryffindors crowding to let him pass, and the young wizards huddling close together, trying to see where the trouble was.
"Oh! God——" Hermione screamed and grabbed Hera's arm. She was just scared, and she hugged Hera's arm tightly all the way up the stairs, as if being dragged up by him.
Hera also saw the problem in front of her. The fat lady had disappeared from the portrait, and the portrait had been vandalized. The canvas skins were scattered all over the ground, and the large piece of canvas was completely torn from the frame.
Dumbledore took a quick look at the damaged painting, "Filch, please be in the castle"
He saw Filch who was still holding the petrified Mrs. Norris crying behind him, and covered his forehead with a headache.
"Forget it, Professor McGonagall, please look for the fat lady on every painting in the castle."
Hera sighed helplessly, there were more and more accidents tonight.
"You'll be lucky."
